Abstract

This research is a type of field research, while the approach used is descriptive-qualitative, researchers use interview, observation and documentation methods in collecting data. The purpose of this research is to find out how opportunities for pastors who are victims of domestic violence to do self-healing. It is hoped that achieving this goal can be useful for pastors who experience domestic violence to imitate the behavior taken by victims who have succeeded in self-healing. Research results have shown that pastors who experience domestic violence can be strong in facing problems and able to heal themselves. All respondents acknowledged that the internalization of Christian values contained in the testimonies of the OT and NT was the determining factor in them being able to recover from the pressure of domestic violence issues. In addition, the fact shows that the ability of the respondents in pastoral care to solve the problem of domestic violence that is applied to the congregation who has experienced domestic violence can also be applied to themselves so that they can help their recovery quickly.

Abstract

Christians need to understand the model of church's mission in dealing with heresy as a handle on life today. While the advancement of information and technology is very rapid, especially in the field of social media, congregation's very minimum knowledge on the word of God becomes a serious threat to church with a variety of teaching impressions that cannot be accounted for the truth; irrelevant with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The results of research and theoretical studies revealed that the church mission model following the mission of Christ is needed, namely: evangelism model, discipleship model, church development model, and teaching model in the face of heresy; where all these models focus on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The research was conducted using qualitative methods to obtain accurate data, supported by theological approaches, literature, and case studies to produce descriptive data. This article aims to find a model of the church's mission in dealing with heresies as the church's grip.

Abstract

Hedonisme adalah sebuah filosofi yang menyatakan bahwa kesenangan atau kenikmatan adalah hal yang paling utama untuk dikejar. Hedonisme dapat dikaitkan dan selalu dikaitkan dengan uang. Namun, sebagai orang percaya, pengendalian diri sangatlah penting. Orang percaya harus bisa mengendalikan diri terhadap uangnya sehingga uang tersebut dapat menjadi hal yang positif. Uang juga berguna untuk mempelajari perilaku manusia berdasarkan sikapnya. Seringkali kejahatan terjadi akibat dari cintanya seseorang akan uang. Rasul Paulus telah lebih dahulu menyinggung hubungan antara cinta akan uang dengan hedonisme dalam surat 1 Timotius. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui makna “cinta akan uang” dalam 1 Timotius 6:6-10 dan (2) memberikan aplikasinya bagi orang percaya.

Abstract

The success or failure of an education is largely determined by the strategy used by each educator in teaching in order to obtain maximum results. Therefore the research aims to describe how the Jesus on the Mount Learning Strategy as a Reflection of Today's Teachers, by using descriptive qualitative methods it can be concluded that the learning strategy of Jesus preaching on the hill is a strategy that every teacher needs to have today, namely teachers who have the expertise, skills, creativity in teaching with the ability to utilize existing media in order to achieve effective, efficient and relevant learning, namely the material, points or values that the teacher wants to instill and teach can be conveyed, understood and students are able reflect on the lessons learned in everyday life. Today's teachers are expected to own and make the learning strategies that Jesus used when preaching on the hill as a reflection in teaching today. So that today's teachers can have accuracy, skill, skill, expertise in creating a learning atmosphere, the ability to convey learning material to students with maximum results and on target.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to review and compare the Open Theism and Reformed theology views of God. This research is based on library research and uses the content analysis method. Despite pro-Open Theism optimism that it will help Christians to relate to the transcendent God, when compared with the Reformed theological view of God, it is found that the Open Theism view has the potential to misunderstand the biblical view of God, especially the optimism that humans can change God's decisions. Scripture itself shows that God is independent of Himself. In short, Open Theism's view of God, if returned to an examination of Scripture as Reformed theology does, will find its position is still very subjective and not centered on what the Bible says about God. It is hoped that this research can add insight into the knowledge and character of Christians in addressing the issue of Open Theism.
