Abstract

The existence of humans as social beings is represented through the formation of social groups as an effort to maintain and develop their lives. However, instead of forming harmony and balance, humans also often commit social deviations, one of which is through bullying behavior. Bullying behavior does not only occur in the work environment but has entered the school environment. One of them is in South Korea, where bullying rates and suicide rates are both high, showing that there is a relevance between bullying rates and suicide rates. Now, this phenomenon is constructed through drama as a reflection of social reality. The focus of this research is to find out how the practice and relevance of bullying behavior and suicide cases in the 2015 school drama. The research method used is Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis method which focuses on discussing the concept of signifiers and signifieds. The data studied are pieces of dialogue, images, and sound. In this study the authors used Emile Durkheim's Suicide theory. The findings in this study are that there is a relevance between bullying practices and suicide cases. This is also exacerbated by the finding that victims of bullying often do not have adequate social groups. Because the more individuals have sufficient social groups, then this is capital in maintaining their lives from other social groups. The location of the social group greatly influences a person's decision to commit suicide. Thus, the social group has an important position for a person as part of his efforts to defend himself and maintain his self-esteem and the harmony of social relations.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has led to significant changes, shifting global supply chains into the digital and virtual realm. One of the technological advancements that offers new business opportunities, particularly in the banking sector, is e-banking, which transforms the way transactions are conducted, making them cashless. However, substantial progress in digital banking technology also brings high risks, encompassing both tangible and intangible losses, significantly if customer rights are weakened due to the bank's violations. Currently, the ITE Law and the Personal Data Protection Law in Indonesia are inadequate for safeguarding customers in the context of e-banking services. Therefore, this research aims to achieve customer security and protection from personal data leakage and fraud risks by implementing the Data Protection Authority (DPA). This approach also encourages banks to take responsibility for their actions and provides a strong legal basis for customers to seek compensation for potential losses. To address this issue, our research employs a normative juridical research method, which examines legal norms, principles, and doctrines related to protecting customers' data in digital-based banking transactions. The Data Protection Authority (DPA) is proposed as a crucial legal protection concept for safeguarding customer personal data, playing a vital role in preventing cybercrime and the misuse of personal information. With the establishment of a comprehensive DPA, law enforcement against violations in digital-based banking transactions will become more effective, preserving an individual's freedom of expression and supporting the mission of sustainable development.

Abstract

The exploration of the impact of mobile payment integration on consumer behavior represents a compelling avenue of inquiry within scholarly discourse. Despite the burgeoning adoption rates of mobile payment systems, empirical research delineating its ramifications on consumer spending tendencies, particularly in terms of propensity towards overspending, remains relatively sparse. Mobile payment platforms offer unparalleled convenience, facilitating transactions across diverse contexts, yet potentially precipitating a surge in consumer expenditure. This study endeavors to elucidate the intricate relationship between mobile payment usage and tendencies towards overspending, with a particular focus on Generation Z, a cohort known for its digital fluency and proclivity towards embracing technological innovations. Employing a quantitative research methodology, structural equation modeling (SEM) is employed to dissect the nuanced impact of mobile payment adoption on consumer behavior. Drawing upon a sample of 105 Generation Z respondents, data collection was conducted online via Google Forms disseminated through various social media platforms to ensure a diverse and representative sample. Furthermore, this inquiry investigates the moderating role of gender in shaping the nexus between mobile payment utilization and overspending behavior, seeking to discern potential gender-based disparities in consumer spending patterns engendered by mobile payment adoption. The findings underscore a significant positive association between mobile payment usage and proclivities towards overspending, indicating that heightened engagement with mobile payment platforms correlates with increased consumer expenditure tendencies. Moreover, gender emerges as a salient moderator in this relationship, with females exhibiting a heightened susceptibility to consumer behavior relative to their male counterparts.

Abstract

Teachers at Madrasah Muallimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta have complex and diverse core tasks and functions that affect motivation and work spirit. The purpose of this research is to know the motivation of work and the work spirit of teachers at Madrasah Muallimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The study uses qualitative design through in-depth interviews and direct observation of 4 (four) teachers with non-permanent teacher status. Testing the credibility of data with member checking is by confirming the informant that the informants agree with the data found. The data analysis process is carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the research show that the spirit of work arises from the desire to accomplish this, which is reinforced by the presence of reasonable compensation. The need for affiliation becomes an important thing for teachers to become comfortable and enthusiastic at work. Maintaining harmony between teachers and having friends will have an impact on comfort and increased productivity at work. Great power brings great responsibility, and as a teacher grows competent, it will automatically affect greater responsibility.

Abstract

The phenomenon of settlement spaces on the railway border cannot be exempt from the construction of the Dutch Colonial Government that built the city of Surabaya, focused on economic growth through industrialization and trade. The policy of the Surabaya government provides legality of settlement status and fundamental service rights for local citizens as part of the social sustainability dimension, which then undermines the various relocation efforts that PT KAI (Indonesia railway company) has undertaken. The development of SDGs is expected to transform the reconstruction of residential space to create revitalization in the economic, ecological, and social sustainability dimensions. However, the reality is that Surabaya, which is considered a model of sustainable cities, still needs to implement a concrete space-based political policy based on the SDGs in the settlement space phenomenon. This article roots the phenomenon through the method of critical discourse analysis (CDA), where language, texts, and ideology of sustainability are dominated only by economic and ecological relationships in certain areas and arenas, which are thought to give a positive image and impact on the city. The analysis of the critical discourse is reinforced by Henri Lefebvre's thought in the theory of the production of space (1991) as an analysis in deducting that settlement spaces are not just physical or technical-administrative questions but concern power relations and ideology that encompass social, economic and political life. The SDGs really involve whole elements in reconstructing the political dialectics of space that support the economic, ecological and social dimensions.
