Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of Foreign Direct Investment, Gross Domestic Product, Energy Consumption, Electric Consumption, and Meat Consumption on CO2 emissions of 41 countries in the world using panel data from 1999 to 2013. After analyzing 41 countries in the world data, furthermore 17 countries in Asia was analyzed with the same period. This study utilized quantitative approach with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression method. The results of 41 countries in the world data indicates that Foreign Direct Investment, Gross Domestic Product, Energy Consumption, and Meat Consumption significantlyaffect Environmental Qualities which measured by CO2 emissions. Whilst the results of 17 countries in Asia data implies that Foreign Direct Investment, Energy Consumption, and Electric Consumption significantlyaffect Environmental Qualities. However, Gross Domestic Product and Meat Consumption does not affect Environmental Qualities.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze whether the Return On Asset (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE), Non Performing Loan (NPL) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) have significantinfluencesimultaneously and partially toward Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). This research classifiedthe verificativeresearch. The population is the national private commercial bank period 2004-2015. Sample was determined by the higher bank asset, a total of fivecompanies. The secondary data were taken such as from financialreport of Banks started from 2004 until 2013. The technique of data analysis in this research using panel regresion analysis. CAR as a dependent variable, ROA, ROE, NPL and LDR as independent variables. Data processing using Eviews 6. The result provides evidance that ROA, ROE, NPL, and LDR have significantinfluencesimultaneously toward CAR. ROA and NPL partially have positive significantinfluencetoward CAR. ROE and LDR partially have negative significantinfluencetoward CAR.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influenceof some factors such as Research and Development (R&D), Patens, Labor Force, and Term of Trade Toward Non-Oil Exports of high technology products. This research is explanatory research use quantitative approach. Research data uses the report of the research in six ASEAN countries which are Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines which are gotten from World Bank and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) site starting from 2000 to 2014. The tabulation of data in this research uses several methods of data analysis of regression model which are Common Effect model, Fixed Effect model, and Random Effect model. Then, it is done to elect the best models use redundant fixedeffect test and Hausman test. The result of this research in hypothesis test shows that the variable has positive influenceand significancetoward Non-Oil Exports of high technology products. The positive influenceand significanceare R&D and Term of Trade. However, patens variables showed significantresults with negative influences.While the variable Labor Intensive shows the results are not positive and significantimpact directly against the non-oil exports of high technology products in the six countries which is researched. From the research it is known, produces determinant coefficientin the amount of 95.15%, which means that the variables used in this research has a major influenceon the Non-Oil Exports of high technology products.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the measures that can be done to increase non-oil exports of East Java 2010-2011 period, either through the creation of a variety of export products and expand export destinations, particularly to the Middle East and Africa. Some non-oil export commodities is a mainstay of East Java is copper, organic chemicals, paper / carbon, plywood, shrimp, textiles, footwear, coffee, paper, and tobacco. Non-oil export development strategy of East Java is based on the SWOT analysis, which is preparing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The existence of the Tanjung Perak Surabaya and Sidoarjo Juanda Airport is the main force to boost exports, as well as the export share has exceeded 200 export destinations with 3000 items. Further basic weaknesses which are not memilii ISO and eco labeling, as well as the human resources that are less qualifid. Non-oil exports to the East Java there are still considerable opportunities for increased, including exhibitions abroad funded the Central Government and the Provincial Government of East Java, including education and training activities and free export periodically organized by the Department of Industry and Trade East Java Province. Threats faced by exporters in East Java is the competition in the international market is getting tougher and other rules are getting heavier. Based on the SWOT analysis, the strategy can be used to improve the non-oil export in East Java is to optimize the market potential that exists in other provinces, such as the province of South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, and South Sumatra. Furthermore, actively pursue international exhibitions, both in Jakarta, as well as other countries. Another strategy is to create efficienc, effectiveness, and productivity in the production process in order to compete in the international market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine consumer behavior, customer satisfaction and development strategies that can support or hinder the development of vegetarian restaurants Fortunate Coffee using SWOT analysis. Research with qualitative approach using an analytical process begins with a browse through all the data available from the following sources using literature study, internet media, interviews, and questionnaires.Findings from this study showed that a vegetarian restaurant Fortunate Coffee has many advantages that can support the development of, among other strategic place and cozy, reasonable prices, good service, taste the food was pretty good, and have the product in Samarinda recently sold in Fortunate Coffee vegetarian restaurant that is Bread Vegan. Through of the findingsstrength, weakness, opportunity, threats, then difomulasikan into the SWOT matrix and eventually found a few strategies, namely strategies SO (strength-opportunity) flavorenhancing its menu. ST Strategy (strength-threats) maintain selling prices to remain stable. WO Strategy (weakness-opportunity) held activities such as seminars vegetarian and exciting events. WT Strategy (Weakness-threats), an improvement in consumer promotions, the need for special training to waiters in service procedures, innovations in the form of home delivery.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan penggunaan produk kosmetik di Indonesia. Untuk mengetahui hal tersebut dilakukan penelitian terhadap perilaku konsumen dalam membeli produk kosmetik. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, dan Threats) untuk memahami tentang industri kosmetik. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumen dalam mempertimbangkan pemilihan kosmetik, antara lain gaya hidup lingkungan sekitar, kepercayaan terhadap produk, keamanan produk dan perusahaan yang memproduksi, dan kemudahan dalam pengaplikasian produk. Hasil analisis dari 195 responden menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikandari perilaku konsumen dengan perkembangan penggunaan produk kosmetik di Indonesia. Pasar kosmetik nasional terus berkembang mencapai Rp 13,9 triliun pada tahun 2015 menurut Citra Cendikia Indonesia.

Abstract

The competitive market requires Indonesia to know the potential of resource management for the welfare of the society and nation. One of the important things is how much potency of Indonesia in marine resources, especially in tuna fishingsector. Judging from the geographical, Indonesia has a very wide sea with diverse marine resources. It is very important to know how much tuna potency of Indonesia and 5 largest tuna exporting countries in Asia.To findthe potential of tuna export, this research adapts a method called Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA). Using this method, we can findhow much potency of Indonesia in tuna export compared to 5 largest tuna exporting countries in Asia.Analysis result shows that Indonesia has potential in tuna export. From the total of tuna export, Indonesia ranks number one compared to the 5 largest tuna exporting countries in Asia. RCA result of Indonesia towards 5 other tuna exporting countries shows 5,79 which means Indonesia will be better if specialize in the export of tuna.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the influenceof Interest Rate, Money Supply, and Exchange Rate to inflationin Indonesia after Financial Crisis 2008 with quantitative approach and analyzed using OLS (Ordinary Least Square). Data Methods in this research used time series data in the period 2008:1 until 2015:2. The result of this research indicate that Interest Rate, Money Supply, and Exchange Rate simultaneously effect the inflationin Indonesia after Financial Crisis 2008. Interest Rate has a positive effect 2.755885%, Money Supply has a positive effect 1.28E-06%, and Exchange Rate have a negative effect 0.000841%. Bank Indonesia as an institution that is responsible for determining the inflatin target has a very important role and coordinate with the government in implementing fiscal policy and monetary policy appopriately.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the influenceof foreign investment, international trade, Gross Domestic Product per capita, agriculture and urbanization of the working population. Country used as an object in this research is Indonesia. This research uses the method of analysis Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and the multiple linear regression analysis method. Research period are from 1997 – 2012. The results showed that the international trade, Gross Domestic Product per capita, agriculture and urbanization have significantpositive influenceon the population work in Indonesia, but foreign investment has no significanteffect on the working population in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research uses quantitative approach with stastistic model to examine factors influencingIndonesia Cocoa Export Volume based on annual data from Indonesia Cocoa Export Volume, Cocoa Domestic Price, Cocoa International Price, and Rupiah Exchange Rate to US $ in 2006 until 2015 The independent variables in this research are Domestic Cocoa Price, International Cocoa Price, and Rupiah Exchange Rate to US $ with dependent variable that is Indonesian Cocoa Export Volume. The data used is obtained from the officialwebsite of Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics, Center for Agricultural Data and Information, and Directorate General of Estate Crops. This study refers to research that has been done previously in various countries including countries in Asia. Based on the results of empirical tests conducted shows that variables Domestic Cocoa Prices have a dominant influencein affecting Indonesia Cocoa Export Volume. The Indonesian Domestic Cocoa Price and the Rupiah Exchange Rate to US $ have a significantnegative effect on the Export Volume of Indonesian Cocoa.
