Abstract

This threshing process is carried out so that small palm fruit or oil palm fruit bunches weighing under 5 kg can be accepted at the palm oil mill. In general, fresh fruit bunches (FFB) weighing under 5 kg are not sold, so before being brought to the palm oil mill, they must be threshed first so that the palm becomes loose or granules that can be accepted by the palm oil mill. Designing a model of a palm fruit threshing machine from the bunches aims to increase profits for palm oil entrepreneurs, because small palm fruit can be accepted in palm oil mills. In this design, the thresher model is made, the engine uses a diesel motor, WPA 60 1:40 gearbox, rubber clutch and the capacity of this palm thresher machine is 150 kg/hour. Testing of the palm thresher machine is carried out in three types of tests, the results of production capacity and fuel use. The production capacity of palm fruit obtained is 324.6 kg/hour while the use of fuel is 900 ml/hour

Abstract

This research aims to develop a calibration interface that enables the routine and effective calibration of water quality telemetry system sensors in fish cultivation ponds. This interface is designed to provide users, namely fish farmers, the ability to perform dynamic calibration based on linear regression methods. With this feature, fish farmers can recalibrate the sensor based on fluctuations in the cultivation pond environment, thereby improving measurement accuracy continuously. The calibration method employed is linear regression, which allows for the identification of the mathematical relationship between sensor data and reference data. By collecting sensor data and reference data, linear regression parameters such as offset and slope can be calculated and applied to sensor measurements. This calibration interface feature can be accessed through a computer or mobile device with an intuitive display, making it easy for fish farmers to operate. The research results indicate that the use of a dynamic calibration interface with linear regression methods can enhance sensor measurement accuracy continuously. Fish farmers can perform routine calibrations in accordance with environmental changes, contributing to better water quality management in fish cultivation. The success of this interface opens opportunities for the development of technology that supports optimal fish growth and health within the environment.

Abstract

The ship propulsion system generally consists of 3 (three) main components, namely: main engine, transmission system and propulsor. The ship's power propulsion transmission system in general starts from the main engine to the gearbox, shaft, stern tube for the shaft and shaft bearings, and propeller. The research aims to obtain the ship's main propulsion engine and propulsion transmission system components to be installed on the ship of Polbeng II that to be built. The planning of ship propulsion engine and its systems on ships needs to be done in order to obtain engine power and transmission systems that are in accordance with the propulsion needs of the ships being built. The planned ship is a passenger ship with the main size of the ship, Lpp = 9.8 m, B = 1.8 m, H = 1 m, T = 0.6 m and a speed of 21 knots. The results of the calculations are obtained, with a ship resistance of 5.7 kN, the main engine power is 98 HP. In the transmission system, the gearbox, shaft, bearings and propeller are installed from the main engine, with a gearbox ratio (1:3) and a propeller shaft size that is installed 1 3⁄4”.   Keywords: propulsion system, engine power, transmission system, shaft

Abstract

This study aims to analyze mini PC performance in various aspects, including CPU, disk, memory, graphics, and operating system (OS) functions. The research was conducted by testing the mini PC using several testing methods, which involved compiling the Linux kernel, testing disk performance using SQLite, measuring memory performance using Intel Memory Latency Checker, testing graphics performance with Xonotic, and testing OS functions with Glibc Benchmarks. The results of this study provide an overview of mini PC performance in these various aspects but also indicate the need for additional testing and further analysis to understand mini PC performance more comprehensively.
