Abstract

Abstract

The background in this research is the lowerness of students’ problem solving skill. This research aim to improve students' problem solving skill by using abductive-deductive strategies. This research used the quasi-experimental method with the Control Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research population was all of VIII grade students in SMPN 4 Kerinci. We use the survey technique to determine the research sampel. The sample of this research was students of VIII A grade as the control class and the students of VIII B grade as the experimental class. The research instruments used in this research is problem solving ability test. The pretest was given before the learning begun then the posttest was given after the learning process. The results of this research indicate that students in the experiment class have better problem solving skills than the control class. The conclusion of this research was the abductive-deductive strategies can improve the students’ problem solving ability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problem solving process of high school students in sketching the integral area under the curve. This research was conducted at SMAN 6 Luwu Timur, South Sulawesi Province. The research method used in this method is a qualitative method using a descriptive approach. The conclusion in this study was that on the engagement indicator it was found that there were students who identified thoroughly and there were also students who only partially identified and there were also students who identified internally. As for the transformation-formulation indicator, it was found that there were students who made initial guesses by using the integral concept first and then guessed the critical points needed to sketch the graph. However, there are also students who make initial guesses by determining the critical points needed to draw the graph first and then in the next guess using the definite integral concept. However, there are also students who only make guesses by guessing critical points by utilizing the available information to sketch graphs. For the implementation indicators, it was found that there were students who formulated the graph first, then created the shaded area of the graph, followed by the calculation phase. Then there are students who only finish at the graph formulation stage making shaded areas on the graph, but do not continue at the calculation phase.

Abstract

Research has been carried out with the title 3-dimensional modeling of the volume of waste pollutant seepage to create an aquifer layer at the Mancani Landfill, Palopo City. This study aims to determine the volume of waste pollutant seepage in the Mancani TPA Palopo City by knowing the depth of the air based on its resistivity value. Measurements were made with 5 tracks along the 200 meters using the Schlumberger configuration. The data is carried out using IP2Win Software to obtain resistivity values and depth and Voxler Software to obtain 3 Dimensional modeling, data interpretation based on resistivity tables. The results obtained are that the leachate at the Mancani landfill in Palopo City is at a depth of 1 - 4.5 meters with a resistivity value ranging from 11.00-23.39 Ωm and a seepage volume of 29,929 m3

Abstract

The points of this review (1) are to figure out the most missteps made by understudies in settling the base ability evaluation numeracy questions, and (2) to figure out the elements that make understudies commit errors in addressing the base skill appraisal numeracy questions because of free learning, (3) to depict the mistakes. what understudies do is botches made by understudies with autonomous learning in taking care of AKM numeracy issues. In this study utilizing an illustrative strategy with a subjective methodology, the subjects in this study were educators and understudies. Information assortment methods utilized tests, meetings, surveys, and documentation from the educator and 6 understudies in the classification of High, Medium, and Low. Test methods, interview procedures, survey strategies. The aftereffects of this study are (1) the slip-ups made by understudies in addressing the AKM numeracy questions in light of free picking up, as per the educator, incorporating absence of comprehension of the material, absence of comprehension of inquiries, and understanding inquiries. (2) The missteps made in tackling the inquiries that most understudies make are mistakes in perusing the inquiries, grasping the inquiries, and abilities during the time spent addressing the AKM numeracy questions. (3) Learning autonomy influences the consequences of addressing the AKM numeracy questions that are finished, understudies with high classifications on test results have high learning freedom, and understudies who get low experimental outcomes are less autonomous in learning.
