Abstract

To study the effect of oral and injected BABA on platelet production this study was done, The first group (intra peritoneal injection group): This group consisted of 20 animals given (BABA) after dilution with 2 ml distilled water by intra peritoneal injection for four weeks, this group was divided according to BABA concentration into three secondary groups (5 animals per group): first concentration (1g/ kg), second concentration (0.5 g / kg), third concentration (0.25 g / kg) and control group was injected with distilled water 2 ml once a week for four weeks, The second group (orally drenching group): This group included 20 animals also given the substance (BABA) at the same concentrations and doses of the first group at the same time using oral route. Abstract

The objective of the research is to prepare an educational program using multimedia. Learn about the effect of using the multimedia method in learning some basic skills of football for students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science. The researcher stressed that there is a clear impact of the educational program using the method of multimedia in learning the basic skills of football students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science Anbar University. The researcher used the experimental method in the design of the experimental and control groups. The study sample was 60 students divided into two groups of 30 students per group. The duration of the curriculum was from 25/2/2018 to 27/4/2018 at two units per week and six weeks. That there is an impact of this approach in the learning of students in the skills of football. Hence the researcher stressed through the most important recommendations that the program prepared can be applied by the colleges concerned and for different skills and other games.Keywords: Multimedia, Scoring, Handling, Rolling and putting down and football.

Abstract

Total of (130) samples of stomach ulcer were collected from patients suffering from peptic ulcer who visited three different hospitals in Baghdad. After testing the sensitivity test against Helicobacter pylori against 10 antibiotics, the sensitivity test for 10   antibiotics demonstrated the efficacy of the antibiotic cephotaxim and rifampicin in the elimination of the bacteria. According to the results of the sensitivity test, one of the isolates of the Helicobacter pylori 4 (HpG 4) was chosen for being resistant to all antibiotics (except amoxicillin). Two isolates of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum were selected based on their high inhibitory activity against Helicobacter pylori growth bacteria for subsequent experiments .The minimum inhibitory concentration of Lactic Acid Bacteria concentrated filtrate was performed for three times .The concentrated filtrate showed the efficacy in minimizing and inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria Helicobacter pylori. So the aim of the study was to discover the role of probiotics in   the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection and study of effect of probiotic on reducing Helicobacter pylori stomach ulcer as supporting and safer.  Keywords: Human Stomach Ulcer; Probiotic Extracted; Lactic Acid Bacteria

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of life skills training to primary sixth-grade students of 18 region of Tehran education. This is a semi-experimental research with pretest-posttest design and control group. The statistical population includes the primary sixth-grade students of region 18 of Tehran education who were sampled using multi steps random sampling method.  Aggression questionnaire of Nelson et al (2000) is used to collect data. The research hypotheses regarding the effect of life skills training (emotional management) to students on their anger control is examined by univariate analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). Results of the test show that anger life skills training to students is effective in controlling primary sixth-grade male students’ anger and 57.5% of subjects’ anger control variance is explained by the independent variable, i.e., life skills training. Moreover, multivariate unilateral intergroup covariance analysis (MANCOVA) is used to measure the effect of life skills training on anger control components of the participants. The results reveal that the average score of students in failure, physical aggression, relationships with peers and relations with authorities is simultaneously different between the members of the control and life skills training groups.Keywords: Life skills, Anger, Students.

Abstract

Faloak bark extract has antibacterial, antioxidant and anticancer potential but no optimal solvent has found to extract the active compounds of faloak bark. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the solvent against the faloak bark. This study aims to determine the optimum solvent of methanol, ethyl acetate, petroleum ether, and water in order to produce an optimal response value in the extract, total phenolic, and inhibitory results in antifungal tests. Extracts obtained through reflux extraction for 2 hours and extract yield calculated. The extract results tested to determine the total phenolic content and inhibition of antifungal test. The determination of the optimum solvent composition carried out using Rstudio v.3.2.2 software with ANOVA parametric test or Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric test and using Design Expert v.11 software with Simplex Lattice Design (SLD) method. The results showed that the solvent composition of faloak bark extract (Sterculia quadrifida R.Br) in giving the yield of extract, total phenolic, and optimal antifungal inhibition was methanol:water 0,438:0,562.

Abstract

The aim of this study to explore the foodstuffs potentially as an immunomodulator for use of synthetic immunomodulatory in the long term, in addition to considering also has negatively affect to the organs. The materials normally used as an immunomodulator is a substance containing phenol and flavonoid that has antioxidant activity. One of them is Indonesia black rice. This study was performed by in vitro test so that the samples that tested were in the extract form. Extracts were tested were ethanol and water extract of black rice. The use of water as a solvent extract because the sample is food, While ethanol is also used because ethanol is not toxic and the compounds present in black rice are also polar so polar that they can be used in dissolving polar and semi-polar compounds. Each extract was measured levels of phenol, antioxidant activity and its effects on lymphocyte proliferation (as an organ where immune cells produced). The treatment was health control, pain control, 50,100 and 200µg/ml. The results showed that ethanol extract of black rice and water containing phenol compound and has activity as an antioxidant, it also very potential as immunomodulators because the extract can increase lymphocyte proliferation.Keywords: immunomodulator, ethanol, water, Indonesia black rice.

Abstract

Oxidizing agents and antioxidants are recently used in wound treatment and health care. The effect of such chemicals as H2O2 and ascorbic acid on beta hemolysin production by clinical isolates of Staphylococcus aureus (which were obtained from wound swabs) was investigated. Hemolytic activity was assayed semi- quantitatively (by measuring the diameter of the hemolytic zone around the wells in blood agar that contain the bacterial crude toxin) and quantitatively (hemolysis %) using the standard curve of osmotic hemolysis by Na Cl. The experiment  was optimized by selecting the optimum culture medium, type of blood, pH of the medium, incubation temperature, number of rpm in shaker incubator and incubation time. The higher production of the hemolysin was obtained when Staphylococcus aureus grown in the medium containing (0.05 mM) of H2O2 and (5  MM) of ascorbic acid, whereas the toxin production decreased in the media containing these substances in lesser concentrations.  Keywords: S. aureus, Hemolysin, H2O2, Ascorbic acid.Introduction

Abstract

Objectives: The aims of this study were to evaluate dental implant stability and marginal bone level after immediate implant placement with simultaneous grafting of the gap with alloplastic material. Materials and methods: This prospective study included patients who required an extraction of hopeless teeth and subsequent immediate implant placement at a non-molar site, Full thickness mucoperiosteal flap was elevated and the buccal plates were intact in all cases. Following dental implant placement the primary stability was measured with Periotest. The gap was filled with alloplastic grafting material (Easy graft) and wound closure, then a cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was taken. 6 months later, a second CBCT was performed and a comparison between them was made for the evaluation of marginal bone level change. Results: Twenty patients with 31 dental implants were enrolled in this study. The difference between base line and 6 months for buccal cortical plate level , palatal/lingual cortical plate level were 0.93 ± 1.15 mm , 0.57 ± 0.94 mm respectively  with a highly significant difference (P=0.007) between buccal and palatal cortical plate. For primary implant stability the mean was 4.98 ± 4.26 PTV, while secondary stability was 1.36 ± 2.96 PTV with a highly significant difference (P=0.001) between primary and secondary stability. Conclusion: Good primary implant stability was achieved even in the presence of gap and the stability was adequate to attain good secondary stability after 6 months. Gaps more than 2 mm were successfully managed with rapid setting Easy graft with promising influence on stability and marginal bone level. Implant length inversely affected PTV. Bone resorptions of the cortical plate occurred more labailly/ buccally than palatally/ lingually and maximum resorption happened in the canine region.

Abstract

New flow injection were designed for the determination of glutathione by Iodate and Iodide at λmax=350 nm with high efficiency and distinction, with new innovative design included tri-valve in one level. The best manifold and optimum conditions were managed at λ max=350nm. The calibration curve was fabricated   with linear range (1-80) ppm. The linearity (R2) value was 0.9990.The limit of detection value was 0.256 ppm. The limit of quantification value was 0.853 ppm. The dispersion coefficient value was 1.45 and 1.35 for the two concentrations 10 and 30 ppm respectively. Sampling rate was over the range 80sample per hour for every run cycle. The arrival time of sample/reagent zone from injection unit to flow cell was 20 seconds. Determination of GSH was applied on standard solutions, which gave high precision and accuracy with recovery in well worthily.Key words: Flow injection analysis, Glutathione, Iodate.

Abstract

Analysis focuses on the advantages as well as the disadvantages of using Growth Associated Protein 43 (GAP-43) as a neuroregeneration marker examination tool in a rat sciatic nerve injury examination. The sources of this research were attained from past scientific publications that had been published on the NCBI website. The research is unique because no past researches have ever been performed to ascertain the advantages and disadvantages of GAP-43 as a neuroregeneration marker examination tool in a rat sciatic nerve injury examination. The analysis will focus mostly on a research that was published on September 10, 2016. It focused on the GAP-43, a growth associated protein used in the treatment of a sciatic nerve injury in a Norway rat. The keywords used to attain the access the publication included GAP-43, neuroregeneration marker and sciatic nerve injury. The results of the search yielded a total of twenty-six full journal articles from PubMed Central and one scientific and medical abstract citation from PubMed. These are all publications that contain information pertaining GAP-43 and its applications. The materials for inclusion in the research were all journals summarizing the effects of GAP-43 on a sciatic rat. The participants of this review were program professor and myself. The materials for exclusion in the research included all publications with the exception of peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications from the PubMed or NCBI website. The conclusion of the study revealed that although GAP-43 has a few disadvantages, it is an effective neurogenerational marker in a rat sciatic nerve injury examination.Keywords: GAP 43, Neuroregenaration marker, Sciatic nerve injury
