Abstract

Permutation method is one of the multi-critera decision making techniques which can get the best order of the given alternatives to have the best benefits. This method solves the decision making problem by calculation the benefit of each possible permutation with N Factorial calculations for N alternatives. In this paper, we presented a new method for improving the classical permutation method. It works with pruning the possible permutation sequences of the alternatives to reach the best solution. Our method can solve the problem by less than N(N-1)/2 calculations. It tries to find the best order by comparing the effect of switching the places of two nearby alternatives in the permutation sequences. Keywords: Multi-criteria Decision Making, Adjusted Permutation, Pruning.

Abstract

Of  all  the  issues  boards  of  directors,  executives,  and  managers  face,  one could  argue  that  unethical  corporate  activity  is  one  of  the  most  significant  in  terms  of its  potential  negative  impact  and  also  one  of  the  most  difficult  to  properly  address. This  article  argues  that  three  key  elements  must  exist  if  illegal  or  unethical  activity within  and  on  behalf  of  organizations  is  to  be  minimized  through  developing  and sustaining  an  ethical  corporate  culture.  The  three  elements  include  (1)  the  existence of  a  set  of  core  ethical  values  infused  throughout  the  organization  in  its  policies, processes,  and  practices;  (2)  the  establishment  of  a  formal  ethics  program,  including a  code  of  ethics,  ethics  training,  an  ethics  hotline,  and  an  ethics  officer;  and  (3)  the continuous  presence  of  ethical  leadership-that  is,  an  appropriate  ‘tone  at  the  top’  as reflected  by  the  board  of  directors,  senior  executives,  and  managers.  While  each  of these  three  elements  is  distinct,  they  also  overlap,  relate  to,  and  reinforce  each other.  This  article  discusses  each  of  the  three  key  elements  necessary  to  develop  and maintain  an  ethical  corporate  culture. Keywords: Ethical corporate culture; Ethical values; Ethics programs; Ethical  leadership.

Abstract

In this paper, (5α,6α)-7,8-didehydro- 4,5-epoxy-17-methylmorphinan-3,6-diol (morphine) as well as alkyl-substituted morphines are studied using density functional theory (DFT) at B3LYP/6-311++g(2d,p) level. The calculated Hartree-Fock (H-F) energies ranged as -1018.0049 to -939.3950 kJ mol-1. Among the three studied molecules, C16H16NO3-CH2CH2CH3 system represents the minimum vibrational frequency, H-F energy as well as the minimum highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO)-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy gap with 49.939×1010 Hz, -1018.0049 kJ mol-1 and 0.11257, respectively. Keywords: DFT, Hartree-Fock, Morphine, HOMO-LUMO.

Abstract

HSP90AA is a crucial protective chaperon protein in normal and cancer cell. It has been previously determined HSP90AA down regulate in tumor cell treated with extract of amniotic membrane (AM) stem cells. Aim of this study find out the pathways and molecules associated with reduction of HSP90AA by bioinformatics methods. Network analysis defined the principal functions of HSP90AA in cancer survival and proliferation through interaction with important proteins with different functions such as AR, AKT, HIF1A and P53 to promote tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis. Gene ontology analysis released the regulation of nitric oxide synthesis activity. In sum up results distinguished the misexperssion of HSP90AA may due to down-regulation of its transcription factors or systemic changes in gene expression of cancer cell after treated with extract of AM cells and induce apoptosis in oxidation state. Keywords: Hsp90AA, Cancer, Amniotic membrane, Epithelialstem cells, Mesenchymalstem cells, Apoptosis
