Abstract

This research was conducted on 48 women who suffered from spontaneous abortion for one and multiple fold during the first and second stage of pregnancy and with age averages ranging from 14-43 years. which have been confirmed to be infected with the Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) by using the Enzyme Link Fluorescent Assay technique (ELFA) ,However, they did not suffer from chronic diseases such as blood pressure, diabetes and other immune diseases , In order to measure the level of interleukin (IL-10) by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in blood samples, placenta and amniotic fluid that collected from women at the time of abortion and while they were in the Curettage Hall of Al -Zahra Hospital and Al-Hakim Teaching Hospital / Najaf Governorate, For the period from October 2015 to April 2016, comparison was made with 10 women who had no history of previous miscarriage or inflammatory disease and had been as control group. The results showed no significant differences between the level of the inflammatory inhibition factor interleukin (IL-10), that measured in the serum of abortive women and the control group, which reaching the level to (5.905 ± 1.5707) Pg/ml. also noted high Significant decrease P ≤ (0.01) in the interleukin (IL-10) concentration that measured in the placenta and amniotic fluid of abortive women compared to healthy Control group. From the above results, concluded that the decrease level of interleukin (IL-10) in abortive women infected with virus may be plays a major role in cases of spontaneous abortion. Keywords: HCMV, Abortion, interleukin (IL-10), ELISA.

Abstract

Background:  Poisoning is a major global public health problem and one of the most common deaths in many societies. The goal of this study was to detect the percentage of patients with intentional and unintentional poisonings, and to define demographic factors, major toxic agents related to the occurrence of poisoning recorded by The Poisoning Consultation Center (PCC).Methods: This was a retrospective -epidemiological study covering data collected between 2014 and 2016 records of The Poisoning Consultation Center (PCC) / the Ghazi Hariri Specialized Surgery Hospital in the Baghdad medical city, Baghdad, Iraq. Results: Totally, 3213 cases associated with poisoning were evaluated. Among these cases, 3181 were reported as unintentional and only 32 cases as intentional poisoning. Females predominated among intentional cases (81%), and the majority of them belonged to the age group of 15-24 years. While, the 0-9-year age group was the most common among accidental cases. Metal poisonings, mostly copper, were found most frequently within accidental poisoning cases (74%). Carbamazepine ingestion was found to be the major toxic agent for committing suicides, followed by Paracetamol. Conclusion: Females had a greater propensity to commit intentional poisoning, and the housewives, the age group of 15–24 years and drug medications were more related with suicidal poisonings. A large scale of metal accidental poisoning are appearing in Iraqi cities where, bombing, military events, and waste incineration have led to increased public exposures. The results of this study may serve as evidence for new strategies in Iraq to prevent poisoning. Keywords: Accidental poisoning, Suicide, Epidemiology, retrospective analysis, public health.

Abstract

New reagents were prepared from cephalexine drug as macro reagents via several steps like ( esterification , substitution , condensation, insertion ) reactions to produce new analytical reagents . The first reagent involved two imine group , while the second reagent included two amide groups ,and third reagent involved two amide as a cycle by insertion reaction. Our reagents investigated by chemical techniques like ( FT.IR , H.NMR , Mass )- Spectra and studied through ( chromatographic curves , thermo curves ) ., which indicated our results and gave evidences for formatted reagents. Keywords: Reagent, Ester, Amide, Insertion, Cephalexine.

Abstract

According to the Onium system with application of Cloud point extraction (CPE) methodology coupled with spectroscopic method study the separation and the determination of  Cobalt(II), with limitation the optimum condition for higher extraction efficiency of Cobalt(II), by using (N-benzoyl-L-arginine ethyl ester hydrochloride)(N-BAEH) and non-ionic Surfactant (1% Triton X–100). Study appears the extracted species giving maximum absorbance at 294 nm, and these methods for separation need 0.8 M HCl in 10 mL aqueous solution. Contain 100 µg of Cobalt (II), as well as need heating at 85 °C for 15 minutes, in the presence of 0.5 mL of Surfactant in aqueous solution. Keywords: Cobalt(II), Cloud Point Extraction, Onium extraction, Halow complex, perconcentration.
