Abstract

Grapefruit (Citrus Maxima) is one of the most important citrus fruit cultivated in Vietnam. Its stability is quite short under ambient temperature. The edible coating could keep textural properties, sensory appearance and control respiration rate of fruits by functioning as a semipermeable vapor and gas barrier to regulate the moisture and gases in the package. Chitosan is recognized as safe and has been widely applied as a successful carrier for incorporating with the antimicrobial agents. The objective of this research was to prolong the fresh fruit quality of grapefruit by using cinnamaldehyde-chitosan coating. The results indicated that 1.0% cinnamaldehyde-chitosan application could maintain the highest fruit quality properties such as weight loss, decay rate, firmness, sugar, acidity, and vitamin C. By this application, the storage life of grapefruit could be extended to 28 days under ambient temperature. Keywords: Grapefruit, cinnamaldehyde, chitosan, coating, storage.

Abstract

We have developed a new method with high sensitivity, low cost and high stability. Using a functional monomer, this method is based on a molecular polymer (MIP).Which is 2 (Trifluoromethyl) acrylic acid (TFMA), 3 (Trimethoxysilyl) propylmethacrylate (TMSA),suitable cross  linker and ciprofloxacin (CPF) template for the production of monolithic solid  phase micro  extraction (SPME) fiber. Used_ UV. Vis_ as (detector). All these analytical methods used to extract, preconcentration and selective Ciprofloxacin determination (CPF). Competence, The stability and duration of the manufactured fiber plays a fundamental and indispensable role in SPME. The aim of this study is to examine the factors influencing the polymerization and extraction procedures, as well as to explain the selectivity of the manufactured fiber in the CPF solution. Also related and unrelated compound selectivity .Under optimum conditions. For five patients repeated experiments for three measurements the relative standard deviations) RSD percent are range of at (10ـ50)ppm of CPFH)Percentage (2.57ـ3.25). The relative recoveries obtained for CPF are within the range of (95.40 ـ 99.28) in spiked human urine samples. Keywords: Ciprofloxacin / Molecularly imprinted polymer solid-phase extraction / UV. Abstract

Background: The American Diabetes Association (ADM) certified that the Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) was separated any grade of the intolerance of glucose with a nonset or fist recognition at the time of pregnancy. Objectives: The study aims at assessing the knowledge of pregnant women of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM), which includes screening importance, risk factors and post- partum follow-up. Methodology: A sample of 50 women was selected from primary health care centers in Nasiriyah. The data was collected by interviewing women. The questionnaire was designed and consisted of demographic components and variables and risk factors that contribute to gestational diabetes to pregnant women. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire was determined by conducting a pilot study. Statistical and statistical procedures were used to analyze the data. Results: The study results showed that most of them ranging from age (21-25) years and the highest proportion of them graduated from primary school and less, most of them housewives with enough to some extent. There were statistically important variances between the knowledge of pregnant women about gestational diabetes and demographic data at a value of p less than 0.05. Recommendations:  Visit prenatal clinics until late pregnancy, meaning that there is little chance to educate illness on GDM and how they can help prevent it. While doctors are proactively trying to change this, the results of this study suggest that continuing education is necessary to improve awareness of GDM, and early prenatal education is likely to be important and that the Department of Health is setting up workshops on pregnancy.
