Abstract

Used and complete organic analytical spectrum by using (FT.I.R.) spectrum to prove the chemical structures for some organic compounds as (drugs) of Valsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide (1) and supported by reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method has been developed for the determination of valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide in pharmaceutical preparations tablets .Chromatography was carried out on supelco L7 column (25cm×4.6m.m), 5µm. Using Buffer solution , methanol and acetonitrile at ratio 35 :25 :40 accurately  as mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0 ml.min-1 with Uv-detection at 270 nm at 50C°. Separation was completed within 1.42 min and 5.74 min. Calibration curve was linear coefficient correlation 0.9948 and 0.9980 over a concentration range of (30-50µg.ml-1) and (5-15µg.ml-1). The relative standard deviation (RSD) was found <1%.The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide in pharmaceutical preparations.Keywords: Valsartan, Hydrochlorothiazide, Linearity, FT.I.R., HPLC, Tablet form

Abstract

This work include synthesized and characterization the compound [I] by reaction 1,4-phenylenediamine with chloro acetic acid  then this compound  reaction with methanol in present  sulfuric acid to synthesized ester compound [II] after that reaction with hydrazine hydrate to synthesized acide hydrazide [III] and the later compound reaction with substituted acetophenone[IV]n to synthesized substituted acetophenone hydrazones[V-XI]. In addition synthesized4-formylpyrazole derivatives [XII-XVIII] via cyclisation substituted acetophenone hydrazones [V-XI] with Vilsmeier-Haack reagent DMF/POCl3. The compounds characterized by melting points, FTIR, 1HNMR and mass spectroscopy. Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate chemical constituents of aerial parts of Fumaria parviflora since no phytochemical investigation had been done previously in Iraq. Methods: Phytochemical screening of the extracts obtained from this plant indicated the presence of flavonoids, saponins, steroids, phenols, and alkaloids. Results: The different chromatographic and spectroscopic results revealed the presence of new flavonoids isolated from Fumaria parviflora Conclusion: The isolation and purification afforded white crystalline powder which was subjected to chemical and spectral identification by infrared and H1- C 13 nuclear magnetic resonance.

Abstract

The endogenous sulfide radicals (HS·/ S-·) play an important role in the biological system. They have cyto-protective antioxidant and pro-oxidants adverse effect. Sulfide radicals can produce isomerization of fatty acid physiologically and pathologically. In terms of biomimetic model using liposome, these radicals can produce trans fatty acid. The production of thiyl radical via photolysis was reported using sodium sulfide nonahydrate (Na2S.9H2O) 'H2S donor' in a phosphate buffer (PH=5.0). The efficacy of  Na2S.9H2O to produce thiyl radical (HS·/ S-·) was evaluated by GC using POPC vesicle in phosphate buffer (PH=5). It has been noticed that the maximum isomerization rate was up to 35% of trans oleic acid after (30 minutes). The declining in the percent of isomerization on what was previously reported is attributing to the low diffused concentration of the H2S, that is due to the crystallization nature of sodium sulfide nonahydrate as well as the low solubility profile of hydrated sodium sulfide. Furthermore, it also refers to the high affinity of thiyl radicals to make weak isomerizing species such as sulfide dimer (HSSH) and polysulfide (Sn2-) in a heat releasing process. Polysulfides themselves have the ability to scavenge the thiyl radical (HS·/ S-·) and then inhibit the isomerization process (Scheme 1).Keywords: Liposomes, Sodium sulfide nonahydrate, Water of crystallization, Trans oleic acid, Trans fatty acid (TFA), Omega-9, POPC vesicle, Polysulfide, Thiyl radical.

Abstract

In this research, the linear optical properties and the effect of concentration of the solution on absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra of the acridine_orange dye. It was prepared three concentrations acridine_orange dye dissolved in ethanol (1*10^-3, 1*10^-4, 1*10^-5) M. It was measured spectroscopic properties of the dye solution and for all concentrations (absorption coefficient, refractive index, and fluorescence life-time and quantum yield of florescence level). The results showed that the linear absorption coefficient and linear- refractive index increase with solution concentration increasing and (life-time of fluorescence increases, quantum yield decreases) with solution concentration increasing.Keywords: Acridine_orange dye, linear optical properties, laser dye.

Abstract

The optical properties of poly (methyl metha acrylate) (PMMA) with polystyrene (PS) blend films doped with silver nanoparticles were studied. The blend films were prepared using solution casting technique different weight ratio (0, 2.0, 4.0, and 6.0 wt %) of the Ag nanoparticles, the optical properties of the prepared films were investigated. The optical absorption spectra of these films in the wavelength range from (320-1100 nm) were measured to investigate the influence of Ag nanoparticles on the optical properties of (PS-PMMA) blend. The results showed that energy gap of the blend films decreases with increasing Ag nanoparticles weight ratio. The absorbance, absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient, refractive index, parts dielectric constant (real and imaginary) of the prepared (PS- PMMA) blend films were found to be increased with increasing the weight ratio of Ag nanoparticles.Keywords: Nanoparticls, Optical properties, (ps-pmma) polymer.

Abstract

Pure α-Al2O3 compound and its nickel (Ni) composites were prepared with different weight ratios according to the formula ((NiO) x (Al2O3)1-x), where (x = 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.375, 0.50 g) through the chemical co-precipitation method. These were calcined at 1300 ͦC, and the prepared samples were characterized using different techniques such as XRD and FT-IR spectroscopy. The investigation by X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed that the prepared α-Al2O3had only one pure phase of α-Al2O3 with a crystallite size of 33nm, while the NiAl2O4 composites were formed in different phases according to the weight ratios of the NiO used (NiO/NiAl2O4, NiAl2O4, Al2O3 / NiAl2O4). In addition, the crystallite sizes of the phases of the resulting composites ranged from 35 – 50nm, and increased with increasing NiO content. The best result was obtained for the NiAl2O4 composite at x = 0.25g, where the characterization by FT-IR spectroscopy showed that the pre-calcined composites at 500 ̊C initially formed the spinal phase of the doped composites, but the composites prepared at the final sintering temperature of 1300 ͦC formed the pure and spinal phases. The effective NiO4group was formed at the tetragonal sites and a part of it was formed in the octahedral sites, while the effective group (AlO6) was formed at the octahedral sites, thereby indicating that the material was in the spinal inverse and spinal phases. The A.C. conductivity indicated that the highest value of the dielectric constant was at a minimum frequency and decreased with increasing frequency at low frequencies as a result of the effect of a vacuum charge and ionic polarizations. However, at high frequencies, it was found that the dielectric constant did not depend on the frequency, thereby indicating that the dipole moments followed the electric field only at low frequencies. In addition, the A.C. conductivity showed that the conductivity increased with increases in the frequency according to the correlated barrier hopping model (CBH), where the charge carriers jump up from one site to another causing the A.C. conductivity to increase with increasing frequencyKey terms: Nickel Alumina, Alumina, Dielectric, Precipitation method.

Abstract

The present study intends to prepare nanofibers mat of polyacrylonitrile by electrospinning technique and investigates their adsorption capacity to Congo red dye from the aqueous solution, after characterize it by different techniques such as FTIR, SEM, EDA, XRD and BET. The influence factors on adsorption were studied including adsorbent dosage, initial concentration, contact time, pH and ionic strength. The results confirmed that the increasing in pH decreases the adsorption capacity. So, the optimum adsorbent dosage, initial concentration and contact time were 0.006 g, 25 mg/L and 150 min respectively. The isotherm models of Freundlich and Langmuir were applied on the experimental adsorption data to evaluate the maximum capacity and energy of adsorption. The experimental data was founded more fitted with Langmuir model. Additional, the thermodynamic parameter changes such ∆G, ∆H and ∆S of adsorption were estimated. The results explained that the adsorption process was exothermic and non-spontaneous.Keywords: Electrospinning, Congo red dye, Polyacrylonitrile, Nanofiber, Adsorption.

Abstract

The objective of the present work was to formulate and to characterize multi unit floating drug delivery system of Dipyridamole to increase the bioavailability and sustain the drug release properties up to 8 h with more predictable drug release kinetics that avoids all or nothing emptying effect. Dipyridamole floating mini-tablets were prepared  by effervescent approach with melt granulation and direct compression techniques alone and in combination using Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) K100M and Compritol 888 ATO at different concentrations (20%, 30% and 40% w/w) alone and in combination. Evaluations were carried out on physical parameters, floating behavior and influence of type of polymer on drug release rate of prepared mini tablet formulations. All the formulations were subjected to various quality control and in-vitro dissolution studies and corresponding dissolution data were fitted to popular release kinetic equations in order to evaluate release mechanisms and kinetics. All the dipyridamole floating mini tablet formulations followed zero order kinetics. As per Korsmeyer-Peppas equation, the release exponent “n” ranged 0.619-0.748 indicating that drug release from all the formulations was by non-Fickian diffusion mechanism. Based on the results, dipyridamole floating mini tablets prepared by employing combination of 15% w/w HPMC K100M and 15% w/w Compritol 888 ATO offered desired in-vitro floating time and drug dissolution profile.

Abstract

Undoubtedly, Cyclodextrin-based nanosponges (CD-NSs) are patentable nanosized, efficient delivery system designated as a three-dimensional nanostructure network. It can form porous spherical nanoparticles with a crystalline or amorphous structure. The internal polarizability of NS can be easily adjusting by alternating the type of cross-linker (CL) molecules and degree of cross-linking. Cyclodextrin-based nanosponges are a safe and can form complexes with different types of lipophilic or hydrophilic molecules. The nanosponges could be used to improve the aqueous solubility of poorly water-soluble molecules, protect degradable substances, obtain sustained delivery systems or design innovative drug carriers for nanomedicine.Keywords: Cyclodextrin, Nanosponges, Drug Delivery System.
