Abstract

Objective: This study was designed to evaluate the effect of Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) infection on the antibody titers of viral vaccines in fourteen-day-old specific pathogen-free (SPF) chicks. Methods: Five types of inactivated poultry viral vaccines-Newcastle disease viral vaccine (NDVV), avian influenza viral vaccine (AIVV), infectious bronchitis viral vaccine (IBVV), infectious bursal disease viral vaccine (IBDVV) and Reo-Virus Vaccine were used to vaccinate five hundred chicks. The chicks were divided into twenty groups at the age of 14 days; five groups were infected with MG. At day twenty-one, all the groups were vaccinated (four groups for each vaccine one of them previously infected by MG and one simultaneously infected by MG). At day twenty-seven, five vaccinated non-infected groups were infected. Results: All pre-infected groups showed highest antibody titers against NDV, AIV, IBV, IBDV, and Reo V (7.4 log2, 7.1 log2, 20EU, 20EU, and 17EU, respectively) 28 days post-vaccination. The lowest titer appeared in non-infected vaccinated groups with NDV, AIV, IBV, IBDV, and Reo V (6.5 log2, 6.5 log2, 12EU, 14EU, and 11EU, respectively). Conclusion: This study highlighted the outcome of poultry vaccination with inactivated virus vaccines by using serological immune response especially in the presence or absence of Mycoplasma infection of chicks.Keywords: Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Poultry, Vaccine evaluation, SPF chicks, Serological immune response.

Abstract

Background: Spermatogenesis can run optimally if the testes temperature is 2-8o C lower than body temperature. Higher testicular temperature causes oxidative stress, which results in infertility. The purple-red colour of Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L.) fruits have very high of flavonoid. The study aimed to examine the effect of Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L.) fruit extract on testis in heat-induced rats. Methods: The study was conducted at Integrated Biomedical Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Udayana between March until July 2019. This True experimental with randomised post-test only control group design consisted of a total of 24 rats. These were divided into four groups, with the group I and II was a negative and positive control. Group III and IV were treatment pre and post heat induction. Lipid peroxidation (MDA) level, Bcl-2, serum testosterone, and testis weight were measured. Data were presented as mean, and one-way ANOVA was used as a statistical tool with significant p<0.05. Result: Treatment with Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L.) fruit extract before and after heat induction, respectively showed a decrease significantly in the serum lipid peroxidase level, increase in the Bcl-2 expression, testosterone level, and testis weight. There is no significant difference between treatment pre and post heat induction. Conclusion: This study shows that Dewandaru (Eugenia uniflora L.) fruit extract altered the lipid peroxidase level, Bcl-2, testosterone level, and testis weight.Keywords: Bcl-2, Dewandaru fruits extract, Heat induction, MDA, Oxidative stress, Testosterone, Testis weight.

Abstract

The study objectives to:To identify positive thinking, affirmative behavior and psychological flow among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports sciences at the University of Babylon.To learn about the relationship between positive thinking, affirmative behavior and the psychological flow of students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports sciences at the University of Babylon.Researchers used the survey methodology to identify these variables, and in the relational relationship method to identify the relationship between them, the research community included the first-stage students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences of Babylon University for the 2017-2018 school year, which number (130) students, Thirty students from the research community were selected (25 students per college) (23.07%) The measurements were then applied for the purpose of the relations, and the appropriate statistical methods were used in the processing of the data, as the authors used the statistical pouch (SPSS).In the light of the results of the present research, and of the interpretations that have been followed, we can draw some conclusions, the most important of which are the following:First-stage students at the Faculty of Physical Education and sports sciences have positive thinking, affirmative behavior and good psychological flow.There is a strong correlation between both positive thinking and affirmative behavior on the one hand and psychological flow on the other.In the light of the findings and conclusions of the research, the current research has reached the most important recommendations, as follows:To pay attention to the psychological aspects of the students of the Faculty of Physical Education and sports sciences, in particular positive thinking and affirmative behavior, because of their direct relationship with the psychological flow;Conducting studies similar to psychological variables to determine their relationship with the basic skills of the various sporting events for students.The need to provide specific lectures to students during educational and teaching units by a psychologist and a psychologist.Keywords: Positive thinking, Affirmative behavior, Psychological flow and Sports Sciences.

Abstract

The ripe mangrove apple is a potential source of natural antioxidants owing to its significant antioxidant activities. Phytochemical analysis of fruit extract revealed the presence of carbohydrate, protein, flavonoid and phenolic compounds. It can enhance the capability of antioxidant human body and therefore reduce the risk of chronic diseases. It is sweet in taste and usually consumed fresh or made into juice. There is limited study mentioning to processing of this functional fruit. Therefore we explored a wine fermentation from mangrove apple (Sonneratia ovata) fruit by focusing on the effect of different variables such as sugar supplementation, innoculum size, fermentation temperature in the primary fermentation, and fermentation time and temperature in the maturation to mangrove apple (Sonneratia ovata) wine quality (%v/v alcohol; g/l titratable acidity; oBrix residual sugar; sensory score). Our results proved that the primary fermentation should be conducted with 12% sugar ratio, 0.25% Sacchromyces cerevisiae inoculum at temperature 30.0oC in 15 days. The maturation was adequate in 10.0oC for 3 weeks to get a pleasant flavor and aroma. Mangrove apple (Sonneratia ovata) wine also evaluated the antioxidant capacity and total phenolic content. Mangrove apple (Sonneratia ovata) wine could be considered as a healthy source of antioxidants and phenolics ideal for daily consumption.Keywords: Mangrove apple (Sonneratia ovata), Wine, fermentation, Sacchromyces cerevisiae, Antioxidant, Phenolic.

Abstract

The present study deals with the investigation of serum TNF-α, IL-6, brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), monocyte chemo-attractant and protein1 (MCP-1), fasting glucose and serum insulin levels of apparently healthy Egyptian premenopausal obese  women and compared with healthy non obese control women. This study aimed to determine assoction between inflammatory markers, BDNF, MCP-1, obesity measures and insulin resistance (IR) risk. The study included 120 apparently healthy Egyptian women, 60 obese and 60 non- obese. IR has been estimated by the Homeostasis Model Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR). Results showed marked elevation in inflammatory markers and MCP-1 in obese women than controls. Significant reduction of BDNF levels was observed in obese cases with significant negative correlations with obesity measures and HOMA-IR and positive relations with TNF-α and MCP-1. In conclusion our data demonstrated increase of inflammatory markers and MCP-1 as well as decrease of BDNF levels in obese women, suggesting that these biomarkers might be positional candidate linking obesity markers that play important role for development of IR in apparently healthy Egyptian obese premenopausal women.

Abstract

The research was performed by the authors to study the effect of exam stress on the respiratory system of 1-4 year students. The experiment was carried out in the longitudinal regime for two years with the participation of the same students. Healthy students participated in the experiment voluntarily. We surveyed 89 1-4 year students, of which were 30 boys and 59 were young females aged 18-22 years. The survey was conducted during the intersessional period and on the day of the exam. To study the functional state of external respiration in the examined students, a pneumotachometric type spirometer with a SPIRO-SPECTR calibration syringe was used. The measurements were carried out from 9 to noon since during this period of the day the studied parameters are the most stable. The experiment took into account gender characteristics. Two age groups were formed: 18-19 years old (1-2 years of education) and 20-22 years old (3-4 years of education). Analysis of the research results showed that in the time course of learning from 1 to 4 years, students' adaptive capacity of the respiratory system increases, resulting in increased efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory mechanisms.Keywords: Longitudinal studies, Psycho-emotional stress, Examination stress, Functionality, Respiratory system.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to Ability of manufacturing of bioformulation using Trichoderma spp, Seven isolation of Trichoderma spp are evaluated as antagonist of five soil-borne fungal diseases, in dual culture, antagonistic activity of T. harzianum (Th3) was showed highest percentage inhibition compare with the other Trichoderma species, which caused 100, 79.16, 69.23, 63.88 and 58.33 % inhibition mycelial growth of Fusarium solani , Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis, Macrophomina phaseolina and Rhizoctonia solani  respectively. Among five groats grains used as substrate for Th3,  Corn substance  has  recorded  the maximum colony forming unit (CFU) produce  27 x 108 g or ml  followed  by  Millet, Barley, Wheat and Rice which record 20,66, 16, 10,33 and 8,66 respectively. Prepared nine different Trichoderma formulations and tested for their shelf life up to 150 day the result showed formulation which has higher shelf life and stress protection was ThT and ThS which record 20.33x108 and 19.66 x108 CFU/ ml respectively and followed by ThG, STCG, CTCG and LTCG which record 11.33 x108, 4.33 x108, 3.33 x108 and 3 x108 CFU/ ml while minimum CFU was  by  ST ,LT, and CT to 1.33 x108 CFU/ ml, 1 x108 CFU/ ml, and 0.66 x108 CFU/ ml respectively.Keywords: Bioformulation, Soil-borne fungal diseases, Antagonistic, Substance, Shelf life.

Abstract

Development of coatings with the properties of resistance to mechanical loads of various kinds as abrasion, pressure remains an urgent issue in modern dentistry. A framework with a stable coating is less exposed to an aggressive biological environment - saliva, as well as the activity of microorganisms. To achieve the optimal result, it is necessary to search for the optimum in a combination of three factors: the actual structural properties of the implant, the properties of the coating of the implant, as well as the manufacturing technology of the coating and the implant itself. The work was performed on a clinical basis of Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Sechenov University). Medical steel, grade BioDur 108 (Carpenter Technology Corp.) was used as the basis (or substrate) for production of dental implants for testing. Supporting coatings based on titanium oxide (TiO2) or based on titanium nitrides/oxynitrides (TiOxN1-x) were placed on the substrate. Roughness coefficient (Ra) was in the range of 0.30-0.55 μm. We have not recorded statistically significant differences between the Ra value and type of product (substrate). That is, dental implants with and without coating did not have a difference in the Ra coefficient.The same results were obtained for the hydrophilic properties of the surface of dental implants - regardless of the presence or absence of coating, hydrophilicity indices were observed within 84-87%. The surfaces of dental implants do not have a significant effect on any physiological indicators of platelet activity. Without contact with the substrate, the parameters of blood plasma were proved to remain unchanged for an hour at 37°C. On the contrary, in contact with the steel part of the dental implant, without coating, there was a significant increase in platelet activity. As our experiments showed, the presence on the dental implants of a coating consisting of titanium oxide, or with the inclusion of Ti-O-N, reduces the likelihood of a blood clot. The reason for this is reduced adhesion of blood cells to titanium oxide surfaces.Keywords: Magnetron sputtering apparatus, Titanium oxide, Spearman correlations.

Abstract

Objective: Insilico study using molecular docking with Hex had already surpassed all of the other previous approach in assessment of molecular binding to scaffold. The combination of insilico study to investigate the molecular binding to scaffold and electron microscope to assess the population density of adipocyte derivative stem cells by measuring the number of cluster cells could show the inter cell communication between adipocyte derived stem cell and scaffold. The aim of this study is to prove the attachment of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) from stromal vascular fraction (SVF) to scaffold.Methods: The research is true experimental research using molecular docking with HEX version 8.0. Electron microscope used to measure the density and number of cluster cells of adipocyte derivative stem cells.Results: The strongest bound to scaffold is between MSC from SVF to hydroxyapatite in both receptor which was Integrin Alpha V to Hydroxyapatite which need a total energy of -89.24 (J/Mol) and Integrin Beta 2 to Hydroxyapatite which need a total energy of -177.8 (J/Mol). The highest impact obtained from hydroxyapatite-calcium phosphate with an average value of 12.66 cluster cells counting per 100 µm2 scaffold material observed by electron microscope.Conclusion: This study showed that MSC from SVF could attach to scaffold with stronger binding between Integrin Alpha V and Integrin Beta 2 to hydroxyapatite. From microscope electron study we can prove that MSC can make a cluster cell in those scaffolds with hydroxyapatite-calcium sulphate having the biggest cluster cell counting.Keywords: Hydroxyapatite; Integrin Alpha V; Integrin Beta 2; Mesenchymal stem cell; Scanning electron microscope; Stromal vascular fraction.

Abstract

Dental caries is a multifactorial, dynamic disease process that results from a dysbiosis in the biofilm, driven by exposure to fermentable carbohydrates, which over time leads to demineralization of dental hard tissues. In spite of the significant reduction in caries prevalence in many parts of the world, dental caries remains a major public health problem affecting people of all ages. Furthermore, the disease is not equally distributed, with multiple population groups at increased risk. If allowed to progress, over time the disease will result in the development of detectable changes in the tooth structure, or caries lesions, which initially are noncavitated (i.e., macroscopically intact, sometimes referred to as “white spot” or “incipient” lesions), but that eventually might progress to cavitation. Modern caries management stresses a conservative and preventive evidencebased philosophy, with patient-centered risk-based disease management, early detection of caries lesions, and efforts to remineralize and/or arrest noncavitated lesions that aim to preserve tooth structure and maintain health. In support of this philosophy, numerous systems and guidelines have been developed. Furthermore, this caries management philosophy is the basis for current cardiology education frameworks worldwide.Keywords:  Dentistry, Fluorides, Risk Assessment Disease, Risk Assessment Management.
