Abstract

Global warming is an increase in carbon dioxide gas (CO2) and other gases in the earth's atmosphere, which will make the earth's atmosphere retain more heat coming from the sun. This study aimed to determine the highest carbon stock ratio from various areas with mangrove forest areas. This research was conducted using the grid route method by collecting data from a literature study from different locations in the mangrove forest. The research results obtained that the highest average carbon stock in various regions of Indonesia which has the highest mangrove forest conservation is the Mangrove Area in Pasar Banggi Rembang Village of 737.2 tons/ha with three stations whose species names consist of Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora stylosa, and Rhizophora mucronata. High and low carbon content, density, and mangrove species in mangrove leaf litter were influenced by the rate of litter production. This production rate will later affect the high low carbon content in mangrove leaf litter.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the abundance of starfish (Asteroidea) at Awang Beach, Central Lombok Regency. This type of research is exploratory descriptive. Using the quadrant transect method, sampling was carried out at three station points, namely station I, II and III. Data collection techniques include direct observation and documentation. The parameter measured is the abundance of starfish. The research results showed that the average value of the starfish abundance index at the three station points was 0.288 ind/m2, in the low category.

Abstract

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges faced by ecosystems and biodiversity worldwide. This research examines climate change's impact on biodiversity through a comprehensive literature review. By collecting and analyzing various previous studies, this research identifies patterns of change in flora and fauna species in response to changing climate variables, such as temperature, rainfall, and the frequency of extreme weather events. Literature results show that many species experience changes in distribution, behavior and reproductive timing, which have the potential to disrupt ecosystem interactions and damage ecological balance. This research also discusses the impact of climate change on natural habitats and the conservation efforts needed to protect biodiversity. These findings highlight the urgency of taking effective mitigation and adaptation measures to maintain biodiversity amidst the increasing challenges of climate change.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity of ecology practicum instructions. This type of research is development research using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). However, this research modified it to 3D, namely Define, Design, and Develop. The research instrument used was a validation sheet. The data analysis technique used is the percentage technique. The research showed that the validation results from content/material experts were 77%, in terms of appearance it was 75%, and in terms of language it was 87%. Thus, it can be concluded that the ecology practicum instructions are declared valid and do not need to be revised.

Abstract

Flywheels are a type of insect belonging to the Family Gerridae. Flywheels are insects that are usually found in still waters, such as ponds, rivers and lakes. The aim of this research is to identify the types of flywheels that exist in the river flow of Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park, West Lombok Regency. The type of research used is exploratory descriptive research. Identification of flywheels specimens is based on the identification book from Pennak (1978). The results of the research showed that one type of flywheels was found, namely Gerris sp. in the river flow of the Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park with a total of 529 individuals.
