Abstract

Human monkeypox is a unique fervid disease caused by a monkeypox bacterium, an appendage of the Orthopoxvirus genus. Affliction exhibits epidemiological and dispassionate traits that pose challenges for disease and prevention. Primarily native to the Central and West African domains, monkeypox has gained worldwide attention because of occasional outbreaks and the potential for human-to-human broadcast. Epidemiologically, monkeypox shares similarities with smallpox, including reservoirs likely to contain rodents and non-human anthropoids. The virus may be transmitted to people through direct contact with infected mammals or bodily fluids. Person-to-person broadcasts, even though meager, contribute to the spread of ailments, stressing the need for active stopping strategies. Clinical evidence of human monkeypox includes delirium, problems, muscle aches, and a characteristic rash. The range of ailment asperity ranges from mild, self-confining cases to harsh forms accompanying obstacles, underscoring the importance of correct and appropriate diseases. However, distinguishing monkeypox from other rash ailments, including smallpox and chickenpox, is a challenge. The prevention of human monkeypox relies on early discovery and immunization. Surveillance works aim to monitor and contain outbreaks, whereas expeditious demonstrative tests influence up-to-the-minute case identification. Vaccination, accompanying the existing smallpox cure, has proven promising in preventing monkeypox and lowering the severity of the affliction. However, continuous research is crucial to evolving guide attacks, particularly given the disadvantages of the smallpox cure and the progressing type of virus

Abstract

By conducting a thorough literature analysis, this study seeks to close the research gap by assessing the effects of IFRS adoption on the profits management strategy and value relevance. This research method follows a systematic literature review process that consists of three main stages: planning the review, implementing the review, and reporting the review. A total of 28 articles were used for this systematic literature review based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. According to a comprehensive analysis of the literature covering all studies published in journals between 2017 and 2023, the implementation of IFRS has varying effects on value relevance and profits management strategies. With the convergence of IFRS, earnings management practices continue to occur. The impact of IFRS adoption also varies depending on factors such as company size, profitability, and institutional factors in developing countries. Relevant information in financial reports is considered very important for decision-making, and quantitative methods are considered more effective in examining the impact of IFRS adoption

Abstract

Corruption inside the pharmaceutical industry is a pervasive and complicated problem that poses giant challenges to healthcare structures, public welfare, and ethical requirements. This abstract delves into the prognosis of the challenges posed by corruption in the pharmaceutical industry. The pharmaceutical sector performs a vital function in promoting international fitness by growing, generating, and distributing life-saving medicines. However, the arena is plagued by various kinds of corruption, such as bribery, fraud, kickbacks, and undue influence on regulatory procedures. This corruption leads to distorted priorities, compromised drug satisfaction, decreased access to important drug treatments, and expanded healthcare costs. One challenge is the complex web of relationships among pharmaceutical corporations, healthcare professionals, and regulatory governments. These relationships, while regularly critical for understanding trade and innovation, may be exploited for corrupt practices that prioritize income over patient well-being. Furthermore, inadequate regulation and susceptible enforcement mechanisms create an environment where corrupt activities can flourish

Abstract

This study seeks to assess the effect of flood on farm household living standard among smallholder rice farmers in southeast, Nigeria. Specifically, the study described the perceived climate hazard occurrence in the study area, analyzed the effect of flood on farm households’ living standards in the study area and described the flood control measures used among smallholder farmers in the study area. Multi-stage random sampling technique was used to select a total sample size of 480 smallholders. Primary data were collected using a well structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and OLS regression model were used to analyze the data. The result also showed that majority (90%) of the respondents experienced flooding as the major climate change hazard in the study area. The result of the regression showed that flood reduced rice yield/quantity, flood caused lost of revenue and farm proximity to river negatively significantly influenced the consumption expenditure among smallholder rice farmers at 5 % probability level in the study area. The result also showed that fitting of water inflated sandbags as flood barriers (M= 3.44), creation of drainage (M= 3.28), removal of sediment (M= 3.26), building of water gates (M= 3.22) and construction of flood barrier socks (M= 3.19) were the control measures they used during the incident of flood in the study area

Abstract

In work, it should not be tiring. Thus, having good performance, resulting in optimal productivity. This paper discusses that through literature. Therefore, this writing is designed descriptively, namely an exposition. Data is taken from literature consisting of various opinions and research results, known as literature studies. The data collected includes fatigue, fatigue limits, performance, and productivity. Data analysis is carried out descriptively. Then, the conclusion of the data analysis is done inductively. Conclusions: 1) that the fatigue limit in work to prevent exhaustion includes: working for 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week; when working, using 35%-50% of maximum VO2; the maximum limit of energy usage during work is 5.0 kcal/minute to 5.2 kcal/minute; and working to have good strength so as not to easily tire when a group of muscle origins moves muscle insertions. 2) that working should be within the fatigue limit to maintain good performance, and ultimately, productivity increases optimally. Recommendations: workers should not easily tire during work, therefore, use and improve work equipment. Work equipment should be provided by the industry/company
