Abstract

Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) merupakan komponen krusial dalam sistem transmisi tenaga listrik yang menggunakan gas SF6 sebagai media isolasi. Seiring waktu, kualitas gas SF6 dapat menurun akibat kebocoran, dekomposisi, kontaminasi, atau usia peralatan, yang berdampak negatif pada kinerja dan keandalan GIS. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas revitalisasi pada GIS Simpang milik PT. PLN (Persero) untuk mengatasi masalah pemburukan kualitas gas SF6. Fokus evaluasi meliputi Purity (kemurnian), kadar air (moisture content), titik embun (dew point), dan kandungan produk dekomposisi gas SF6. Metode komparasi digunakan dengan membandingkan hasil pengujian kualitas gas SF6 sebelum dan sesudah revitalisasi dengan standar yang berlaku. Analisis statistik non-parametrik Mann-Whitney digunakan untuk menganalisis perbedaan signifikan antara kondisi gas sebelum dan sesudah revitalisasi. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan hasil yang sangat signifikan (p < 0,001) untuk semua parameter yang diuji. Nilai probabilitas yang sangat kecil mengindikasikan perbedaan signifikan antara kondisi gas sebelum dan sesudah revitalisasi. Proses revitalisasi terbukti berhasil meningkatkan kemurnian gas SF6, menurunkan kadar air dan titik embun, serta mengurangi kandungan produk dekomposisi secara signifikan. Peningkatan kualitas gas SF6 secara menyeluruh ini berimplikasi langsung pada peningkatan kinerja isolasi GIS, sehingga dapat meningkatkan keandalan sistem dan memperpanjang umur pakai peralatan.

Abstract

Auxiliary transformers play a crucial role in maintaining the stability of electrical systems, especially when facing load changes caused by motor disconnection. This study aims to analyze the impact of current and voltage on Unit 3 auxiliary transformer due to the disconnection of vacuum pump motor A (500 kW) and vacuum pump motor B (500 kW) from the system. Simulations were conducted under three main conditions: normal operation without load disconnection, disconnection of vacuum pump motor A, and simultaneous disconnection of both vacuum pump motors A and B. The simulation results indicate that under normal conditions without load, the current and voltage on the primary side of the transformer are 283.9 A and 11 kV, while on the secondary side they are 495.7 A and 6.212 kV. When vacuum pump motor A is disconnected, transient current and voltage on the primary side range from 257.8 A to 250.1 A, with voltage fluctuating from 11 kV to 11.033 kV. In the case of both motors being disconnected, transient current and voltage on the primary side range from 231.8 A to 217.3 A, with voltage changing from 11 kV to 11.067 kV, while on the secondary side, the current drops from 404.7 A to 379.4 A, and voltage increases from 6.212 kV to 6.304 kV. These findings provide a clear depiction of the dynamic characteristics of the auxiliary transformer due to motor load variation and its impact on the stability of the electrical system.

Abstract

Abstract — PLN's customer growth continues to increase every year, with an average increase of 5.26% from 2014 to 2023. Reliability is needed in the 500kV Mandirancan-Pemalang line 3 & 4 SUTET transmission system which distributes electricity from the Batang PLTU and Tanjungjati PLTU. Throughout 2022 and 2023, there were 5 reclose disturbances caused by lightning on the SUTET in the ULTG Tegal. Efforts to prevent lightning disturbances are to reduce the tower grounding resistance value. The method used is to add several grounding rods (Multirod Grounding/MRG) to each tower leg that is struck by lightning and other towers next to it, in front (5 towers) and behind (5 towers). So that it is hoped that the lightning current can be quickly channeled to the ground. The data analysis method used is the paired sample t-test by processing data from grounding resistance measurements on 53 SUTET towers before and after the installation of MRG. Data processing is done using the Data Analysis feature in Microsoft Excel. Based on field measurements, the average grounding resistance value before and after the installation of MRG is 3.75 Ω and 1.33 Ω. Based on data analysis using the Paired Sample T Test method, obtained tcount (tstat)>ttable (tcritical one-tail) with a value of 7.29>2.34 and the P-value (P(T<=t) one-tail)<α(alpha) with a value of 2.97888×10−12<0.01. From these results, the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted that there is a very significant difference between the grounding resistance of the tower before and after the installation of MRG, so that the installation of MRG is statistically effective. Based on the 2024 disturbance data, there was no disturbance caused by lightning on this SUTET transmission, so that the installation of MRG had an effect on reducing the frequency of lightning disturbances on this SUTET.
