Abstract

The mother's mortality rate is one of the important indicator in scoring the level of health in a country. It is very high in Indonesia. Pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia which indicate the high blood pressure during pregnancy become one of the factor that lead this mortality rate. The Regular examination of Antenatal care (ANC) is one of the way to avoid the pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia. The purpose of study is to know the correlation of ANC regularity with the occurance of pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia in Puskesmas Peterongan. The design of the study was analytic correlational with retrospective approach. The independent variable was the ANC regularity and dependent variable was pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia. The populations were all pregnancy mothers (gestational age ≥ 36 weeks) with pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia and the lateboring mothers with pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia at Puskesmas Peterongan in 2017 as many as 41 people. Samples used total sampling as many as 41 respondents. Statistical test used spearman rank. Most of the respondents (56,1%) was not regularly to do ANC at Puskesmas Peterongan in 2017 as many as 23 respondents. Most of the respondents (68,3%) had mild pre-eclampsia at Puskesmas Peterongan in 2017 as many as 28 respondents. The result of statistical test gained significant score as much as 0,235 > 0,05 which showed the was no correlation between ANC regularity with the occurance of pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia in Puskesmas Peterongan. The visite of ANC could early detect the pre-eclampsia/ eclampsia. The mother hoped regularly to do the ANC to avoid complication during pregnancy and decrease maternal mortality of mother.

Abstract

Stroke not only affects the sufferer, but also affects the role and function in the family when the sufferer is being treated at home by his/her family. This study aims to determine how the role and function of the family with post-stroke family members at the Cukir Health Center really needs to be observed, so that it can be known how the role and function of post-stroke family members at home are. The design of this study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The research instrument comes from the researcher himself and the research subjects using purposive sampling. The data collection technique uses interview techniques. The data analysis technique uses the Moustakas analysis method. Data validity uses member check and triangulation. The results of the study showed that not all roles and functions in families with post-stroke family members changed. The role of the father, the role of the mother, economic function, biological function, and psychological function changed, while the role of the child, socialization function and educator function did not change after one of the family members had a post-stroke. It is hoped that further research with a larger number of participants and research locations will produce maximum results. It is recommended for families to maintain a sense of comfort at home and be more patient in dealing with patients during the healing process.

Psychosocial function is closely related to the quality of life of the elderly. These changes can impact all aspects of life. Walking training combined with cognitive activities can provide benefits and impact the elderly's ability to adapt to changes in psychosocial function. Objective: To determine the impact of walking training and cognitive activities on social interaction disorders at the Jember Community Empowerment and Welfare Unit (UPT) for the Elderly. Methods: This research is a case study of the application of walking training and cognitive activities to address social interaction disorders in an elderly person at Wisma Seruni, Jember's UPT PSTW. The research was conducted over seven days, with three days of intervention. Data collection used observation and assessment methods. Results: After three days of intervention, the client was cooperative and showed improvement in her social interactions. This was evidenced by the assessment results using the DASS and SPMSQ questionnaires, which served as the researcher's reference. Conclusion: Walking exercises will help seniors improve their interactions with other seniors, thereby fostering a sense of community and a sense of appreciation. Furthermore, cognitive activity contributes to adequate thinking and a reduction in feelings of inferiority.
