Abstract

Hadith is one of the foundational sources in the Islamic legal system, ranking second after the Qur'an. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the status and function of hadith within the framework of Islamic law, education, and the daily life of Muslims. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach, this paper explores the definitions of hadith from various scholarly perspectives, its historical transmission and codification, as well as its role in Uṣūl al-Fiqh as a tool for legal reasoning (istinbāṭ al-ḥukm). The findings reveal that hadith serves a strategic function as an explanatory (bayān), confirmatory (taqrīr), legislative (tashrīʿ), and even abrogating (naskh) source, in addition to its essential role in the development of Islamic ethics and character. Therefore, a deep understanding of hadith is indispensable for preserving the integrity of Islamic teachings and addressing contemporary socio-religious dynamics. This study recommends the advancement of hadith studies methodologies that are responsive to the progression of scientific disciplines and the evolving needs of the Muslim community.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is a crime that involves teenagers and not a few also involve children who are still in school. Many factors cause juvenile delinquency to occur, such as lack of attention from parents, teachers and the community so that children feel that this is normal, so it is necessary to provide material on the religious teaching sector such as hadiths to be a signal to prevent juvenile delinquency from occurring. This study uses a qualitative approach with a four-stage method, namely collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions so that the results of this study present factors and efforts to prevent juvenile delinquency from occurring by presenting hadiths that are relevant to juvenile delinquency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji transformasi metode takhrij hadis dari pendekatan klasik ke kontemporer melalui studi literatur. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif berbasis pustaka, penelitian ini menelaah sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder yang membahas prinsip, langkah, serta penerapan takhrij dalam dua konteks waktu yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode takhrij klasik menekankan pada validasi sanad dan matan melalui perangkat ilmu seperti jarh wa ta’dil dan ‘ilal al-hadis, sementara pendekatan kontemporer memperluas fungsi takhrij ke dalam isu sosial, politik, kesehatan, dan gender serta memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Kedua pendekatan memiliki kesinambungan metodologis yang saling melengkapi. Oleh karena itu, integrasi antara pendekatan klasik dan kontemporer sangat penting untuk menjaga keilmuan hadis sekaligus menjawab kebutuhan zaman secara kontekstual dan aplikatif.

Abstract

Pemahaman hadis yang utuh dan relevan tidak hanya bertumpu pada teks, tetapi juga memerlukan pendekatan kontekstual yang mempertimbangkan latar belakang sosial, budaya, dan historis saat hadis diucapkan. Salah satu metode utama dalam memahami konteks tersebut adalah konsep Asbāb al-Wurūd, yaitu sebab-sebab atau kondisi yang melatarbelakangi munculnya suatu hadis. Studi ini merupakan kajian literatur yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis peran Asbāb al-Wurūd dalam proses interpretasi hadis yang kontekstual. Melalui penelusuran sumber-sumber akademik, ditemukan bahwa penerapan Asbāb al-Wurūd mampu menghindarkan kesalahan pemahaman yang bersifat tekstual semata dan membuka ruang interpretasi yang lebih rasional, relevan, dan humanistik. Temuan ini sangat penting dalam praktik pendidikan Islam, karena membantu peserta didik mengembangkan pemahaman kritis dan aplikatif terhadap ajaran Islam. Dengan demikian, Asbāb al-Wurūd menjadi komponen integral dalam metodologi studi hadis yang lebih adaptif terhadap dinamika zaman.

Abstract

The science of hadith has a key position in the development of Islamic teachings. The Sunni and Shia schools have created different ways of studying hadith, reflecting theological and historical differences. This paper discusses by comparing the basic principles of the science of hadith in both schools, especially related to the criticism of sanad, the validity of narrators, and the compilation of hadith books. Using a qualitative method based on literature study, this study analyzes important works such asSahih Al-Bukhari And Al-Kafī. The findings of the study show that although there are similarities in the structure of narrative criticism, there are significant differences in the authority of the companions, the emphasis on the Ahlul Bait, and the way the hadith is validated. This study opens up opportunities for a more open cross-school understanding in the study of modern Islamic science.
