Abstract

Education is a primary need for everyone, especially the age level of children to early adulthood. Schools will be places for students to learn and develop their potential, therefore schools need to attract parents and students to choose their schools by providing adequate facilities, infrastructure and conducting marketing efforts. The Integrated Islamic Elementary School Pelita Khoirul Ummah Established in 2013 with the status of a private school under the foundation, and having its address at Jalan Langkapura, Bandar Lampung, has experienced positive growth every new academic year marked by the number of new students that continues to increase. However, opportunities and threats from external factors must be considered, in addition to trying to increase strengths and overcome weaknesses. This study aims to formulate a strategy to increase the competitive advantage of SDIT Pelita Khoirul Ummah through marketing strategy planning by analyzing its internal and external environment. This research includes applied research with a descriptive approach and qualitative method, with data sources obtained through Focus Group Discussions and interviews, then the data is analyzed using Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS), strategy analysis is carried out using the SWOT matrix. The position of the school is in quadrant 1. The strategy that must be developed is a growth-oriented strategy by trying to expand and increase market.

Abstract

The leadership of the head seems to greatly affect the success of the learning process in schools. One factor in the success of learning is the quality of teacher performance. This study aims to determine the principal's leadership in improving teacher performance. The method used in this study is a systematic literature review. Data collection was carried out by searching for journals with a range of 2016 to 2020 relating to teacher leadership and performance. The articles used are sourced from Garuda Research, Technology and Higher Education accredited by SINTA. The results showed that of the 329 articles related to the variables studied were 8 articles and showed that to improve teacher performance the principal's leadership applied discipline methods, providing motivation, work coaching/development, giving rewards, controlling and supervising teacher performance, and leadership. principals in improving teacher performance are using democratic leadership types, good communication and charisma. Suggestions for principals when improving teacher performance should be principals not only from competence but also by using a leadership style that prioritizes deliberation.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and obtain in-depth information about the performance of education personnel in managing school data at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung by looking at: (1) the competence of madrasa administration staff; (2) motivation of madrasa administrative staff and (3) feedback as the service quality of madrasa administrative staff. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The place that became the object of research was MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. The subject of this research is the head of madrasa administration staff. The informants in this study were the madrasa administrative staff themselves, the madrasa principal, teachers, students, and the community. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and methods. The data analysis technique used is done interactively which includes: data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the study show that the competencies possessed by each madrasa administrative staff are by their respective fields which include personality competence, social competence, managerial competence, and technical competence. The motivation given by the head of the madrasa and the head of administrative staff to each administrative staff is still not optimal, especially the lack of monitoring and evaluation so that it affects the performance of administrative staff in carrying out their duties. Feedback as the quality of service provided by administrative staff to customers, namely students, all madrasa employees, and the community is quite satisfactory so that many parents entrust MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung as the school of choice, both domiciled near or far from the madrasa.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a company's concern for the interests of other parties more broadly, not just the interests of the company itself. For companies that consistently implement CSR in their activities, in the long term they will benefit in the form of trust from their stakeholders. The purpose of this study was to determine the CSR contribution of PT Nestle Srengsem Bandar Lampung to education at the State Elementary School 1 Srengsem Bandar Lampung. The results of this study show that there are various types of company contributions, so PT Nestle in the field of education, namely the focus on nutrition, the focus on the environment and the focus on physical activity.

Abstract

The process of fostering students through extracurricular activities has an essential role in shaping the character of students because extracurricular activities are a vehicle for channeling talents and interests that function to develop the potential, abilities, personality, cooperation, and independence of students optimally to support the achievement of goals education. This study aims to obtain a detailed description of (1) Planning extracurricular activities in character building of students, (2) Organizing extracurricular activities in character building of students, (3) Direction of extracurricular activities in character building of students, and (4) Controlling extracurricular activities in shaping the character of students at Madrasa Tsanawiyah Al-Ikhlas Tanjung Bintang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. Data collection techniques are carried out by; participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data analysis process starts with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Test the validity of the data by triangulation and member check. The results of this study are (1) Planning for extracurricular activities in the formation of students' character is carried out in preparing extracurricular activity programs, which are then used as a reference in its implementation. The program development process is preceded by analyzing the required resources, carried out collaboratively, and socialized at the beginning of the school year. (2) Organizing extracurricular activities in forming students' character as a whole is integrated with the madrasa organization. The organizing process determines resources and division of tasks according to the field of expertise, determined by the Decree of the Head of Madrasa, making agreements to shape students' character through routine activities, such as spontaneous action and conditioning. (3) Extracurricular activities are carried out to ensure that activities focus on the goals that have been set in the planning. The activity direction process includes; application, exemplary leadership, problem-solving, commitment to tasks, functions, and roles, and (4) Control of extracurricular activities to form student character through monitoring, assessment, and reporting. Controls include; monitoring the implementation of activities and evaluating activities (assessment of processes and assessment of results); most students get satisfactory results but still need to improve the readiness of the supporting components.
