Abstract

KHDTK Hutan Diklat Bukit Suligi is located in Dayo Village, Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency. Based on decree number 729/Menhut-II/2009 the area of the Bulit Suligi Education and Training Forest KHDTK is 2,183 ha, but because of spirit of reform and regional autonomy in 1998, the community began to carry out illegal logging and illegal occupation by clearing forests into oil palm plantations. As a result, the fragmented forest area become 704.30 ha. The purpose of this study was to identifying the composition and diversity of tree species in this area. This study uses a quantitative approach using primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected using nested sampling with a large plot of 20 x 20 meters to count trees and a small plot of 10 x 10 meters to count poles. Identification of species composition was carried out by calculating the Important Value Index (IVI), while tree species diversity was calculated using the Shanon-Winner diversity index. The results showed that the dominant species at the pole level was Medang (Litsea angulana Blume) with an IVI of 28,26%, while the species that dominated at the tree level was Meranti Merah (Shorea lepidota) with an IVI of 24,43%. The tree level diversity index of 3,61 and the pole diversity index of 3,66 are included in the high diversity category, its means that the distribution of individuals for each species is evenly distributed or the number of individuals found is close to uniform. This condition also illustrates that the forest communiy is in a stable condition. Keywords: Bukit Suligi, Fragmented, Tree, Diversity

Abstract

The hospital is a place with a high degree of contamination, many pathogen germs that are in the environment are carried into the hospital and spread through activities in the hospital. About 10-20% of Nosocomial infections are caused by poor air quality. Initial observations obtained from RSIA Eria Bunda show that the Hospital Operating Room is still not in accordance with environmental health standards. Other observations obtained are inadequate lighting and humidity. Various physical environmental conditions that have not been optimal will be at risk of becoming a place of growth and development of bacteria. The growth of bacteria in the air that exceeds the standard will cause air quality to be not good, so it will cause health problems for both patients and hospital medical personnel. Based on this phenomenon, an environmental management strategy is needed in the Operation room to monitor air quality in the Operating Room. This research was carried out with a mixed research approach with survey methods, data collection was carried out by direct observation, measuring the temperature and humidity of the operating room and filling out questionnaires to find out the comfort of officers while working. After that, the determination of operating room management strategies on environmentally sound surgical installations using SWOT Analysis is carried out. The result of the study is that the measurement of Humidity and Lighting parameters is still below the operating room quality standards while the temperature parameters and air germ numbers are above the threshold of quality standards based on Permenkes No. 7 of 2019. For the results of the SWOT analysis RSIA Eria Bunda is in a strong internal position and responds to the opportunities that exist to avoid threats. The strategy used by S-O is to increase management capacity in carrying out supervision, improving the quality and maintenance of space, and improving education and information to employees.

This study aims to examine the strategy of controlling environmental pollution by hotel wastewater in Pekanbaru. The research method is in the form of surveys, interviews and questionnaires to determine the quality of processing and control strategies for environmental pollution that can be caused. Used descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this study: there are hotel BOD and COD values that do not meet the quality standards of Minister of Environment Regulation No. 5 of 2014 due to the influence of visitors and the rainy season, but the values of TSS, pH, ammonia, oils and fats, and total coliform have met the quality standards.
