Abstract

Midwives have the authority to monitor and stimulate the growth and development of babies and children. One form of growth and development stimulation carried out is baby massage. Some of the benefits of baby massage include increasing appetite and sleeping better. This study aims to determine the effect of baby massage on increasing the weight and sleep quality of babies aged 3-6 months. The design used in this research is quasi-experimental. Of the 32 babies, 16 were in the experimental group who received treatment, namely being given baby massage, and 16 were in the control group who were not treated. Research results show 16 respondents received massage treatment from test results of Paired T Test obtained a value <0.001, which means there is an effect of baby massage on the weight of babies aged 3-6 months at Griya Apressa in 2023. Research results: In the experimental group given massage treatment from 16 respondents, test results Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test Asymp value is obtained. Sig. 0,000, which means that baby massage influences the sleep quality of babies aged 3-6 months. Conclusion: Baby massages influence the weight and sleep quality of babies aged 3-6 months. It is hoped that further research will develop this research so that more variables are studied on the benefits of baby massage.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition where the concentration of red blood cells is below normal. Anemia can be caused by damage to blood cells due to heavy exercise which generally causes a loss of iron (Fe) so that hemoglobin (Hb) levels decrease. This study aims to determine the effect of Dutch eggplant juice in preventing anemia in adolescents. This research uses an experimental method, using a pre-experimental design with a pretest-posttest design. The instrument used in this research is an Hb measuring instrument, then the measurement results are observed. The results of the research show that there is an effect of giving tamarillo juice before and after with p-value = 0.000 (a<0.05). For further research, you can add comparative variables such as giving dragon fruit juice.

Abstract

Indonesia is committed to accelerating increased access to treatment in hospitals with quality services. ARV treatment still faces several challenges, such as the level of knowledge of people living with HIV, problems with counseling, assistance, family support, community support, and the number of services available. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the behavior of initiating ARV treatment in people with HIV at RSUD Dr. Drajat Prawiranegara. This type of research is quantitative and has a cross-sectional design. Independent variables are education level, attitude, distance to health services, and family support. Meanwhile, the dependent variable is ARV treatment initiation behavior—the entire population of HIV patients at RSUD Dr. Drajat Prawiranegara in 2023. The total sample was 56 people selected by total sampling. Statistical tests used the Chi-square test with 95% CI and logistic regression tests. The results of statistical tests showed that the variable distance to availability of health services did not have a significant relationship with ARV treatment initiation behavior (p> 0.05), while the variable level of knowledge with p= 0.000, the attitude variable with p=0.009, and the family support variable with p=0.002, which means it has a significant relationship with ARV treatment initiation behavior. The largest OR value is in the knowledge variable OR=12.129.

Abstract

The spread of infectious diseases through sea transportation has become a global threat to public health. In this context, the role of the Banten Class I Health Quarantine Center (BKK) is crucial to ensure that ships entering the port area meet cleanliness and sanitation standards. This study explores the motivation of Class I Banten Health Quarantine Center (BKK) officers and the performance of Ship Sanitation Hygiene (HSK) inspection results in the Banten port area. The method used is qualitative. With 12 participants working in BKK Class I. In qualitative research using the "Rapid Assessment Procedure" (RAP) research design, motivational variables such as hope, orientation, enthusiasm, optimism, and valence were explored in their relationship to the quality of HSK examination results. These findings provide important insights for the management of BKK Class I Banten to increase the motivation and performance of officers in carrying out HSK inspection duties. Recommendations from this study can help improve the effectiveness of managing ship cleanliness and sanitation at the port of Banten and reduce the risk of spreading disease through sea transportation.

Abstract

Stroke sufferers have problems meeting basic needs, one of which is related to mobilization. The mobilization mechanism for stroke sufferers has its mechanism, so there must be guidance. This research aims to analyze the level of knowledge of stroke patients regarding early mobilization. This research has a descriptive-analytical design using 25 patient respondents. The measuring tool used is a knowledge questionnaire on early mobilization in stroke patients. The results obtained were that most of the respondents' knowledge level was Poor (36%). Poor or not optimal knowledge can be caused by the client not being ready because, for patients a stroke is a sudden and sudden illness. Several other studies suggest that early mobilization is important in improving the patient's healing process. Early mobilization of stroke patients is an important strategy in the rehabilitation of respondents. This involves starting physical activity as soon as possible after a stroke to promote recovery of body function, reduce the risk of complications, and improve the patient's overall quality of life.
