Abstract

Vanilla is one of the spice plants that has the potential to be developed in Indonesia because its selling price is high. In the cultivation process, the main obstacle that is often experienced is the problem of seed quality. This research aims to determine the best time to apply PSB and NAA concentration for the growth of vanilla cuttings. This research was a split plot design with 2 levels of factors, namely time of administration of PSB (without, once a week, and once every 2 weeks) and NAA concentration (100 ppm, 150 ppm, and 200 ppm). The observation results were analyzed using ANOVA with a 5% significance level followed by DMRT with a 95% confidence level. There is an interaction between the parameters of the day the shoots emerge and the dry weight of the roots. PSB application treatment once a week gives the best results in most parameters. NAA concentration level treatment gave equally good results.

Abstract

Singing has consistently been regarded as a fundamental aspect of human expression, transcending cultural boundaries and serving as a universally practised pastime. The act of singing is widely recognised for its ability to elicit feelings of happiness and provide a means of emotional expression. However, an increasing body of research suggests that singing also yields other beneficial outcomes in the realms of social interaction, psychological well-being, and physical health. This qualitative study aims to explore the advantages of regular singing through in-depth interviews with a sample of 10 individuals. The activity of vocalising musical sounds, commonly referred to as singing, has been observed to have a positive impact on an individual's psychological state, specifically their mental well-being. This is attributed to the cultivation of a sense of purpose and accomplishment that singing facilitates. The act of performing in front of an audience or effectively mastering a challenging musical piece have the capacity to positively impact an individual's mental well-being. The findings additionally suggested that engaging in singing has the capacity to substantially enhance an individual's overall state of health and level of satisfaction with life, regardless of whether it is performed privately in a personal setting, as a member of a choral ensemble, or as a vocation within the realm of music.

Abstract

Pancakes are a popular snack among people and are usually enjoyed as an alternative to breakfast. Original pancakes are flat, round and thin cakes. Original pancakes contain 160 kcal of energy nutrients, 7 grams of fat and 4 grams of protein. Original pancakes still lack nutrients in the form of protein and iron. To add nutrients to the pancakes, a new formula was created, namely red bean and green spinach pancakes. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of adding red bean flour and green spinach powder on the physical quality and chemical quality of pancakes as a snack. The design and type of this research was experimental with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 2 repetitions, namely Formulation A, 35 gr red bean flour and 25 gr green spinach, Formulation B, 30 gr red bean flour and 20 gr green spinach, Formulation C,  red bean flour  25 gr and green spinach 25 gr. Data collection procedures were carried out using organoleptic tests and chemical tests. Organoleptic tests were carried out on somewhat trained panelists, namely 50 nutrition students. Analysis of the physical quality and chemical quality of pancakes includes color, texture, taste, aroma, protein and iron. The results of research on organoleptic tests showed that the most preferred pancakes are 30 gr red bean flour pancakes and 20 gr green spinach (formulation B) in terms of color (3.58), texture (3.62), taste (3.68), aroma (3.39). Meanwhile, in chemical tests it can be seen that the nutritional content of red bean and green spinach flour pancakes is protein (8.78 gr) and iron (4.252 gr/mg).Conclusion based on the results of organoleptic tests the preferred formulation is formulation B 30 gr of red bean flour and 20 gr of green spinach and the chemical quality of protein (8.78 gr) and iron (4.252 gr/mg).

Intervention in the form of counseling using animation media was given 3 times. The population in this study was class VIII, 319 students. The sample in this study was 32 obese students who met the criteria for being a sample. Data collection uses a questionnaire using a statistical test, namely the T-dependent test. The research results showed that the average knowledge of teenagers about obesity before counseling was 10.09, after being given counseling was 13.25. The average score for fast food consumption habits before being given counseling was 95.75, after being given counseling it was 88.09. The conclusion is that there was an influence of nutritional education using animation media on knowledge and fast food consumption habits with a value of p= 0.000. The school's suggestion is to encourage students to reduce consumption of fast food.

Abstract

Before the 2013 Curriculum was set by the government, Indonesian only played a role as a subject and a vehicle for communication in schools. This role appears to be increasing along with the shift in the Indonesian language learning paradigm through text-based learning. This research aims to explore the role of Indonesians in the 2013 Curriculum and the implications of its methodology for learning. The method used is descriptive qualitative using library documents. The research data is in the form of Indonesian language teaching materials for junior high schools sourced from books issued by the government. The research results show that the function of the Indonesian language is confirmed by its existence as a catalyst and vehicle for science, technology, and art (science and technology). The increase in the function of the Indonesian language is also in line with the application of text-based learning methods through four learning stages, namely building context, modeling text, building text together, and building text independently. In this context, Indonesian is at the forefront of absorbing science and technology; conveying information through ideas and opinions; and binding the diversity of languages, ethnicities, and religions in the form of complete diversity.
