Abstract

Learning strategies by utilizing appropriate learning models will affect student learning outcomes. Many new learning models that can be accessed in various sources are alternatives to choose from in improving student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the use of the Mombi model in teaching convex lens material in junior high school. This research is a pre-experimental study with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were students of class VIII at Hati Kudus Keroit Catholic Middle School, South Minahasa in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection uses tests with test instruments in the form of essays and science process skills. The results of the study concluded that the average pretest result was 24.05 and the posttest result was 83.33. The average results of the science process skills assessment are in very good criteria (80% -100%). The results of the t test show that the hypothesis is accepted which states that the use of the Mombi model has an effect on increasing student learning outcomes

Abstract

This research is quantitative descriptive research which aims to find out a picture. ability. think. analysis of high school students throughout the city Makassar. This research aims to determine analytical thinking skills in four schools, namely SMAN 4 Makassar, SMAN 6 Makassar, SMAN 9 Makassar, SMAN 23 Makassar using test instruments in the form of essay questions using a descriptive quantitative approach with a total research sample of 183 students, namely 62 participants. educated from SMAN 4 Makassar. 53 students from SMAN 6 Makassar, 22 students from SMAN 9 Makassar, and 46 students from SMAN 23 Makassar. The research instrument used is a test with 12 valid questions out of 22 questions that have been validated by experts, where the first indicator consists of 5 items, the second indicator consists of 4 questions and the third indicator consists of 3 questions. Test questions. This is used for collecting quantitative research data because it is a test instrument. to measure a person's abilities in a particular field. Instruments that. used to collect data in the form of essay tests that are developed accordingly. with indicators of analytical thinking skills which include analytical indicators. elements or elements, relationship analysis, and system analysis. And data mining through interviews was carried out using semi-structured interviews. Based on the research data, it was found that the physics analysis thinking ability of students at SMAN throughout Makassar City was in the medium category with an average amounting to 21.84. This is due to a lack of practice in analytical questions given.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the physics reflective thinking abilities of high school students in Makassar City. Reflective thinking is one of the characteristics of formal operational thinking. The sample was class XII students from each of the four schools, namely SMA Negeri 6 Makassar, SMA Negeri 8 Makassar, SMA Negeri 9 Makassar, dan SMA Negeri 18 Makassar totalling 159 students. The research data was obtained by giving a 10-item essay test. The analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that the average obtained by high school students in Makassar City is 9,61 and is in the low category. Based on the results of the analysis and interviews that have been conducted, the low ability of students' reflective thinking cannot be separated from various factors that influence it, such as students still solving problems directly, students considering physics to be a difficult subject and memorizing a lot of formulas so that students are less interested in learning physics, and Students still make mistakes in answering questions when given the opportunity to correct their answers.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 6 SATAP West Likupang by using the application of the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model on environmental pollution material. The subjects of this research were 16 students in class VII of SMP Negeri 6 SATAP West Likupang, consisting of 6 male students and 10 female students. This type of research is classroom action research which consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data was collected using observation methods, documentation studies, and tests in each cycle. The research results obtained showed that there was an increase in the completeness value of learning outcomes, namely from the pre-cycle of 31.25% to the first cycle of 85.71%. In cycle I, the teacher teaching observation stage obtained 86.69% (good) and student activity observation 82.69% (good) and these results had reached the success indicator (KKM 75%) so that the classroom action research was stopped, until cycle I. From The research results prove that lessons through the Contextual Teaching and Learning model on environmental pollution material can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Strategies to improve student learning outcomes that need to be planned by teachers, for example using appropriate learning models. The PIMCA model is one of the new learning models that can be used to improve the skills of understanding physics concepts. The PIMCA model consists of four stages: Presentation, Idea Mapping, Conceptualization and Formative Assessment. This study aims to determine the average increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes through the application of the Multi-representation-based PIMCA learning model in physics learning on temperature and heat material. The type of research used is pre-experimental research with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design method. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Tondano, totaling 30 students. The instrument used is a multi-representation-based test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and normalized gain test (N-gain). The results of data analysis obtained the average value of the pretest was 29.7 and the average value of the posttest was 74.93. The results of the N-gain test showed that there were 19 students who experienced an increase in learning outcomes in the medium N-gain category and 11 students in the high N-gain category. The results of this study indicate that the Multirepresentation-based PIMCA learning model can improve understanding of the concepts of temperature and heat and can improve student learning outcomes.).
