Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning method in increasing students' interest in learning informatics subjects in Class X Culinary at SMK Negeri 9 Padang. The method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR) with the Problem-Based Learning learning model. In its implementation, this classroom research action consists of four main steps, namely planning, action or action (acting), observation (observing), and reflection (reflecting). The research subjects were 36 students of class X Culinary 6. The results of the study indicate that the Problem Based Learning learning model in informatics subjects can increase students' interest in learning and which shows that in Cycle II with a score of 3010 with an average of 83.06 and the learning is included in the very good category. Thus, the application of the problem-based learning method has succeeded in increasing students' interest and ability in using Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as providing a good foundation for future learning development.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' interest in learning by utilizing Canva learning media in informatics subjects for class X Mechanical Engineering at Semen Padang Vocational School. The method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR) which is a type of qualitative research that emphasizes the process, designed to achieve improvements in practice and real situations in the classroom in its implementation, this classroom action research consists of four steps, namely planning, implementing actions, observation results, and reflection (reflecting). The research subjects in class X TM 1 were 26 students. The results of classroom action research by applying the guided discovery method assisted by Canva media, it can be concluded that the application of the guided discovery method assisted by Canva media can improve students' abilities in identifying informatics material categories and by applying the guided discovery method assisted by Canva media can improve students' learning terminals during the learning implementation process with a significant increase in cycle I to cycle II by 38.3%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes by implementing the Student Teams Achievements Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model in the English subject of Descriptive Text at SMKN 9 Padang. This method uses classroom action research (CAR), which is a deliberate observation of the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Before carrying out the main activities, the researcher first conducted initial observations as initial reflection material. The research subjects were 35 students in class X culinary 5. The results of the research that have been conducted, it can be concluded that the application of the Student Teams Achievements Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model in the English subject of Descriptive Text is effective in improving student learning outcomes. This is evident from the increase in the percentage of student learning completion from 48.57% in cycle I to 88.57% in cycle II. This increase indicates that the STAD model is able to encourage active student participation, improve understanding, and help students who experience difficulties through group collaboration. In addition, structured learning and more intensive guidance from teachers also contribute to improving learning outcomes and student engagement during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' ability to analyze descriptive text material through the Two Stay Two Stray Stray method in English subjects for class XII of SMK Negeri 9 Padang. This method uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is a plan carried out by a teacher or prospective teacher to develop teaching methods, competencies, content and to achieve the objectives of the teaching and learning process can take place in a measurable and effective manner. The subjects of this study were class XII Hospitality 1, totaling 31 people. The results of this study indicate that students have been active in the teaching and learning process in each cycle. Students are more confident in analyzing the material being taught. In the data that has been obtained, there is an increase in scores on the results of the Post Test in cycle II compared to the Pre-Test in cycle I which increased by 31.39%. Researchers concluded that the use of the Two Stay Two Stray method can improve students' ability to analyze Descriptive Text material.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes using the Project Based Learning model for Vocational Basics of TJKT Class X TJKT 2 SMK Negeri 3 Padang in the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this study is the classroom action research method. The selection of the classroom action research method is based on the basis of the problem and research objectives that require improvements/increases (follow-up) in the classroom with action research procedures using a cycle model consisting of four parts, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 36 students of class X TJKT 2 SMK Negeri 3 Padang. The results of the study showed that the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes of class X TJKT 2 students in Cycle I was 78% and in Cycle II was 94%. The conclusion of this study is that the Basic Vocational Learning of TJKT which is carried out using the Project Based Learning learning model makes students more active and creative in learning and the values ​​obtained by students in the Basic Vocational Learning of TJKT through the use of the Project Based Learning learning model have increased from cycle I to cycle II by 16%.
