Abstract

Amik Riau College of Management and Computer Science Riau is a higher education institution that focuses on computer science, the learning process requires lecturers with the best qualifications, to get lecturers with the best qualifications requires a series of objective selection processes, and a system can be built to be used in the selection process. lecturer who teaches courses for each existing class. the assessment is carried out using SAP (Teaching Unit) is a teaching subject that includes one or more subjects to be taught during one or several meetings. The final result of this study determines which lecturers are effective in teaching the subjects that aim to increase student grades. The parameters used for the appropriate assessment of lecturers to teach the course are based on the parameters that exist in the SAP (Teaching Event Unit). STMIK Amik Riau, EDOM and Class average value. The expected results in this study can provide input to the leadership and KAPRODI to determine effective lecturers for each of the courses offered in the active semester so that learning outcomes can be maximally achieved and students also get grades The conclusion of this study later that the researcher hopes to be able to help the executive to make decisions in determining lecturers to teach the course.

Abstract

Background based on science development today requires the education world to increase qualities in all fields. With technology existence in modern times, it is expected to be able to increase quality of learning more effectively. The purposes of conducting this study are (1) bringing students into a new teaching and learning atmosphere so that they do not get bored easily in learning during the covid-19 pandemic, (2) teachers can monitor students’ development who are less motivated by the learning provided by the teacher through assignments such as only through WhatsApp or Google Classroom, (3) developing learning application in schools. In the English learning application, there are 15 English vocabulary lessons about colors, numbers, fruits, letters, and others accompanied by exercises and evaluations to measure students' understanding and make them able to learn independently, also as an alternative learning media. This application is supported by images, sounds and animations to attract students' learning interest. Data collection methods were tests, observations and documentation. The subjects of this study were 50 students. Various instruments were used to collect data such as: (1) students’ response questionnaires (2) interview to support the results of students’ response questionnaires (3) learning evaluation questions through android application media.

Abstract

Education is an effective means of supporting the development and improvement of human resources in a better direction. Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students can actively develop their potential. In recent years, many online learning media have emerged with the aim of advancing the field of education. Besides that, current technological developments have an important role in the innovation of making learning media. This research aims to design a design for making an online course related to arena software under the name satorie. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques, with data obtained from several sources that are relevant to the criteria and topics of discussion in this study including literature studies, books, articles, scientific works. The results can be concluded that Satorie is an online course that studies the basic knowledge of operating the Arena software that can be utilized by the general public who are interested in systems, models, and simulations. This online course is flexible and can be accessed anywhere as long as there is an internet network.

Abstract

Education has an important role that is very decisive, not only for the development and realization of individuals but also for the development of the nation and state. This relates to the same quality of education and must be provided to Indonesian citizens, both normally and differently. The process of class division every new academic year is usually still carried out conventionally, namely by means of the sorting method and does not involve intelligent system technology. Therefore, not all students who enter the superior class have the desired criteria. The use of a Decision Support System (DSS) is expected to help the decisions made in selecting and determining who is the best student, considering that so far no particular method has been used in selecting students so that sometimes decisions are considered less objective and not on target. This decision support system using the simple additive weighting (SAW) method is processed with data sourced from student data at SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This research was conducted by finding the weight value for each attribute, then a ranking process was carried out that would determine the optimal alternative, namely the best students. Based on the analysis of the decision support system with this method is done by taking 3 criteria, namely the criteria for attitudes, criteria for value and criteria for ranking. Where the results of the researcher are the rankings that can support the best decisions for the criteria of superior class students. From the researcher, it can be concluded that the best students have high attitude criteria, high scoring criteria, and high ranking criteria. Based on the data that has been researched, there are students who score Exelia Monica with code A5 having a value of 3.

Abstract

Utilizing the role of technology in assisting in carrying out business processes that are being managed by an institution or institution is the right decision in today's digital era. This thinking of course also applies to the Information Systems Study Program (SI) of the State Islamic University (UIN) Sultan Syarif Kasim (Suska) Riau. As the number of students increases, it greatly affects the way in which academic services are provided in this study program. One of the academic services currently available is the process of taking and implementing the Job Training (KP) course. The stages of the process that must be carried out by students and the KP coordinator are referring to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) currently available in the study program. The stages of the KP process are 1 submitting a proposal, 2 completing all required documents, 3 waiting for the proposal selection, 4 receiving the announcement of the selection results and 5 appointing supervisors. All processes are currently carried out directly dealing with the Ko.KP in the study program. Of course this causes problems, one of which is the long processing time and documents are the main reason for requiring archive storage space which is less efficient at this time. The purpose of this research is to identify the feasibility of the proposed KP system, design the SI KP as a reference in building the system and apply the IS in the study program so that the KP process can run more effectively. The processed data comes from questionnaires distributed to students and the KP coordinator. Data processing techniques that have been collected using User Centered Design (UCD). The results of the evaluation of the SI Mock-up prototype with the agreed value of the KP system is 76.54%. The conclusion of this research can be continued, so that this researcher can produce SI KP which is implemented in the SI Study Program of UIN Suska Riau.

Abstract

Education plays a vital role in contemporary world to succeed. It is important because it is used to alleviate most of the challenges faced in life. This study aimed to determine the level of effectiveness of the utilized self-learning modules in teaching science to Senior High School students in the Schools Division of Zambales. This research paper utilized the quantitative descriptive survey research design. As a master plan specifying the methods and procedures for collection and analyzing the needed information, the descriptive method of research involves the description, of composition or the process of phenomena. The self-learning modules evaluated by the respondents were effective in assessing students’ performance in science. Assessment of the level of effectiveness of the utilized self-learning modules’ was not influenced by the respondents’ Highest Educational Attainment, Area of Specialization, Teaching position, and Length of service in teaching but only by the number of modules writing seminars/training they have attended. There is no significant difference in the level of effectiveness of the utilized SLM when responses are grouped according to learning components, learning goals, and learning competency but there is a significant difference when it comes to the number of trainings they attended.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional maturity in decision making, the level of emotional maturity and decision making. The hypothesis of this research is that there is a positive relationship between emotional maturity and decision making. The subjects of this study were 119 students of SMK Negeri 9 Padang. The sampling technique used in this research is simple random sampling. The method uses a quantitative approach with measuring tools of emotional maturity scale and decision making scale. The data analysis technique used in this research is non-test using a psychological scale. Meanwhile, the tools used to collect data are emotional maturity scale and career decision-making scale which were developed based on theoretical studies. The scale contains several statements that aim to determine the psychological attributes of the respondents, namely the attributes of emotional maturity and career decision-making attributes. The scale used in this study is the Likert scale model. Based on the results of data analysis obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.878 with a significance level of 0.000 compared with a probability of 0.05 then 0.000 <0.05. Abstract

The background of this research was based on the findings regarding the low activity and mastery of students' concepts in reading and numeracy learning in class II SD IT Aroja Kisaran, Asahan Regency. SD IT Aroja Kisaran. The subjects in this study were 28 students of class II SD IT Aroja Kisaran, 2020-2021 academic year. The research method used was classroom action research which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection. Data collection was carried out through tests, observation of student and teacher activities, interviews and documentation. Results: The results showed that: (1) The reasoning ability of students before learning to read had not yet reached completeness where the average score obtained only reached 72.67. (2) Students' reading reasoning ability after learning in cycle II has reached completeness where the average value obtained reaches 81.25. Meanwhile (3) the students' reasoning abilities before learning to count had not yet reached completeness where the average value obtained only reached 74.46. (2) and the students 'reading reasoning ability after learning in cycle II has reached completeness where the average value obtained reaches 80. The jigsaw type cooperative learning model is very effective in the reading and numeracy learning process to support the students' reasoning abilities

Abstract

This study aims to repeat the analysis of learning based on Problem Based Learning in improving the learning outcomes of SMK students. In addition, this article will also produce a literature study that can be used as study material for the future. Meta-analysis is the method used in this study. The analysis is carried out by formulating research problems, tracing relevant research results. Meta-analysis is a statistical technique that combines two or more similar studies to obtain a combination of quantitative data. Judging from the process, meta-analysis is a retrospective observational study, in the sense that the researcher makes data recapitulations without conducting experimental manipulations. The search yielded 20 relevant articles for this study. These articles were articles that had been highly tested and could be used for data expertise. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the analysis show that Problem Based Learning-based learning is able to improve student learning outcomes from 1.95-71% on average 44.87% or it can be said that problem based learning has quite an effect on student learning outcomes

Abstract

The world of education is a dimension that cannot be separated from the influence of technology. One form of technology development used in the world of education today is an electronic learning application known as e-learning. The application of learning is an important point in the application of a learning model and the learning model is one of the determinants of the success or failure of teaching and learning activities to achieve the learning objectives that have been formulated. The learning objectives are not only how students can understand the given theory but also the development of aspects such as cooperation, respect for opinions and problem solving abilities. To fulfill this development, the learning strategy should accommodate students for the development of learning in the world of education. One of the learning models that can be developed and adopted to place students at the center of learning is the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model which is combined in the form of web-based e-learning. The purpose of this study is to design a web-based e-learning learning information system with the application of the PBL model. The software development method in designing this learning information system uses the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) method using the PHP and MySQL programming languages. The research will be conducted by observing activities and obstacles in the teaching and learning process of Software Engineering subjects at SMK Maritim Nusantara Padang Pariaman. This research produces a Web-based e-learning learning information system with the application of the Problem Based Learning model. With the application of the learning model students can understand the theory and have the ability to solve problems related to these subjects. The system is supported by e-learning applications, so that it can help students learn anytime and anywhere.
