Abstract

Abstract Health development is an effort to fulfill one of the people's rights, especially in the health sector. One way to improve health development is to develop human resources from an early age through exclusive breastfeeding.Breastfeeding is a scientific process. Millions of mothers around the world are able to breastfeed their babies without ever reading a book about breastfeeding, even illiterate mothers can breastfeed their children well. However, in our current cultural environment, doing things naturally is not always easy. When breastfeeding for the first time, breastfeeding mothers generally feel pain or tenderness in the nipples. This is normal, but if the pain or stinging is excessive and even accompanied by sore nipples, then this is not normal and requires treatment. Some researchers have found that sore or sore nipples are generally caused by breastfeeding and improper latch on.

Abstract

Hypertension is still a health problem because it is the silent killer disease. Based on the results of Riskesdas in 2018, it was stated that the prevalence of hypertension was 34.1%. ¬Hypertension mostly occurred in the 55-64 years age group, namely 55.2%. This service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of lecturers in handling hypertension in Midwifery Study Program, Faculty of Health, Merdeka Surabaya University. The method used in this training activity is the lecture method, discussion, demonstration and practice. Pre-test is carried out at the beginning before the delivery of the material, then the delivery of material and discussion. The materials provided during the training included the raw materials needed, the tools prepared, the manufacture of essential oils, packaging and ended with a post test.Based on the comparison between the average pre-test and post-test scores, it was found that there is an increase in the average value. In the pre-test the average value of cadres is 50.0 then after given training materials related to anti-hypertensive essential oil, the average score rose to 87.5. This shows that the level of knowledge of the Faculty of Health, Universitas Merdeka Surabaya lecturers increased after being given training.Keywords: Essential Oil, Allium Sativum, Lavender, Blood Pressure, Elderly

Abstract

The problem of waste is becoming increasingly complex due to limited space for processing waste, incompatibility in spatial planning, lack of waste processing facilities, low public knowledge regarding waste processing, the large number of land conversions for housing, and the rapid increase population in the Tuban Regency. This community service activity was carried out at the location of the religious tourism bus parking of the Sunan Bonang Tomb. Garbage scattered at the parking location comes from bus passengers who do not have the awareness to throw garbage in its place. In addition, the other main sources of waste come from traders at tourist parking locations and pedicab drivers. This condition is mostly caused by the low of knowledge and awareness of the community regarding waste and its processing. This education and socialization of waste sorting is carried out to traders, visitors and pedicab drivers around the bus parking location. In this activity, the majority of traders have good knowledge regarding waste sorting into organic and inorganic waste, while for pedicab drivers, the majority do not have good knowledge regarding waste sorting. It is hoped that in the future this community service activity can be carried out in a sustainable manner, so that later the waste at the bus parking location can be used into something useful

Abstract

 Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan global dan telah diakui sebagai kontributor utama terhadap beban penyakit kardiovaskular juga penyumbang utama kematian. Hasil skrinning di posyandu lansia di desa Bawangan Ploso  teridentifikasi hipertensi sebanyak 80 menderita hipertensi. Pengobatan hipertensi selama ini dilakukan mengunakan obat kimia dengan resep dokter terkadang penderita beli diwarung atau apotik tanpa membeli tanpa resep. Obat kimia memiliki banyak sekali efek samping apalagi diberikan pada lansia memiliki penurunan fungsi organ. Salah satu alternatif pengobatan hipertensi dengan mengunakan obat herbal atau tradisional yang diperoleh dari tanaman. Namun masyarakat Desa Bawangan belum mengunakan tanaman obat sebagai alternatif dalam proses pengobatan. Program pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan dua tahap yaitu tahap pertama dengan skrining kesehatan dan pelatihan peningkatan pengetahuan terkait pemanfaatan tanaman obat sebagai alternative pengobatan hipertensi, sedangkan ada tahap kedua kegiatan pelatihan berfokus pada tata cara pengolahan tanaman obat keluarga sebagai penurun tekanan dara pada penderita hipertensi.

Abstract

Health services such as health education or online questions and answers, especially during a Covid-19 pandemic, can use telehealth. This community service was to provide education and consultation on questions and answers about reproductive health. The method used in this community service activity is innovation and modification of consulting services, questions and answers such as midwifery questions and answers which are usually carried out directly, as an effort to bring midwifery services closer to the community in the form of online question and answer consultations using Google Form media as the initial registration medium. then followed by electronic messages using WhatsApp media as a follow-up media for the question and answer consultations. The community service result showed that almost half of the respondents (42.8%) asked about the topic of reproductive health about infertility. All respondents (100%) answered the questionnaire satisfied with the educational answers from the organizers. Independent practice midwives can use e-health solutions for solutions to overcome patient queues and make an initial agreement before meeting face to face for follow-up examinations, the e-health program can also be a superior service program from independent midwife practices.
