Abstract

Purpose of the study: Main purpose of this study to investigates the implications of adopting blended approaches in enhancing English language proficiency, bridging the digital divide, and preparing students for the demands of a globalized world. Through a Bangladesh perspective, this research seeks to illuminate the transformative power of blended learning. Methodology: This research employs a qualitative approach. In depth Interviews (IDI) and FGDs has been administered to thirty facilitators and thirty students to measure benefits and challenges associated with blended learning. Additionally, Interviews with ten pedagogy experts has provide insights into successful implementation strategies. Data has been analyzed thematically. Main Findings: Research findings show that by blending technology with traditional pedagogy, this approach prepares students for a world where adaptability and digital literacy are paramount. The success of this approach relies on the collaborative efforts of educational institutions, instructors, and students, all working towards a holistic and dynamic learning experience that empowers students to thrive in an interconnected global society. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study adds additional knowledge of the challenges and efforts associated with blended approaches to English language learning in tertiary education in Bangladesh.The study's findings can be used as a guide for interested parties, including educators and institutions of higher learning, to address the issues with English language teaching and learning in tertiary education and improve student language learning quality.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to determine and improve students' digital literacy using Google Cardboard media for class IV students at Elementary School and assessing the extent to which students' participation and involvement in learning activities using Google Cardboard can motivate them to actively learn. Methodology: This research is classroom action research. The subjects of this research were 25 grade IV students at Elementary School. The object of the research is to increase students' digital literacy through Google Cardboard media. Data techniques use tests and observations. The research instrument uses observation sheets and test questions or evaluation of learning outcomes. Main Findings: The results of the study showed that before the implementation of Google Cardboard media on the theme of my dreams, 5 students (20%) had completed it and 20 students (80%) had not completed it and the class average score was 60%. However, after learning using Google Cardboard media in learning the theme of my dreams in cycles 1 and II, data was obtained that student learning outcomes increased. With the increase that occurred in students who had reached 88%. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this research is that through the use of Google Cardboard with a focus on the theme "My Dreams", class IV students elementary school can develop their digital literacy skills while gaining a deeper understanding of technology and information, thereby increasing students' digital literacy. through more contextual learning experiences.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to improve Civics (Citizenship Education) learning outcomes using the scramble learning model for fifth grade students at Prawirotaman Yogyakarta State Elementary School Methodology: This research is ex-post researchThis type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 17 students in class V of Prawirotaman State Elementary School, Yogyakarta. Data collection methods in research include tests, observation and documentation. The research instruments are tests and learning implementation sheets. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The indicator of the success of the action is marked by ≥75% of the total number of students who took part in the learning process having obtained a score of ≥75. Main Findings: The main finding of this research is improvementCivics learning outcomes for fifth grade students at Prawirotaman State Elementary School, Yogyakarta after using the scramble learning model in cycle I and cycle II.Based on test results in implementing learning with modelsscramble learning , students who achieved a score of ≥75 were 70.59% in cycle I and increased to 88.24% in cycle II. The increase in learning outcomes occurred after improvements in actions in cycle II, namely the teacher divided the groups more clearly, the number of group members was reduced, andgiving rewards to calm students. The action is dismissed on the cyclebecause it has achieved the success criteria. Novelty/Originality of this study: The Scramble learning model is designed to improve understanding of concepts. Research can evaluate the extent to which Civics learning outcomes have improved, especially in understanding the concept of citizenship.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the knowledge of class teachers about ethnolinguistics and ethnolinguistics in Elementary school at Pemayung sub-district, Pemayung, knowing strategies or knowing the strategies or ways teachers implement ethnolinguistics and the obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing ethnolinguistics in learning the Pemayung sub-district Elementary School. Methodology: This research also uses qualitative methods. This data was collected using interview techniques. Apart from that, it's high class. This data was collected using interview techniques. Apart from that, document analysis is used in the form of lesson plans which are used by teachers to complement document analysis in the form of lesson plans which are used by teachers to complete and strengthen data from questionnaires and interviews so that research results can be more and strengthen data from questionnaires and interviews so that research results can be more credible/trustworthy. Main Findings: the results obtained from the questionnaire data of 18 respondents show that for the category of high ethnolinguistic knowledge there were 4 out of 18 teachers with a percentage of 22.2%, medium 55.6% with a total of 10 out of 18 teachers, low as many as 4 out of 18 teachers with percentage 22.2%. This shows that elementary school teachers in Pemayung subdistrict have dominant ethnolinguistic knowledge in the medium category with a percentage of the medium category, by 55.6% that is as much 10 of 18 person Teacher. Novelty/Originality of this study: The research makes a new contribution to the field of education by exploring in depth teachers' understanding of the relationship between language, culture and the learning process. This research opens the door to a more comprehensive understanding of how ethnolinguistic factors influence learning approaches at the primary level, particularly in diverse cultural contexts in Pemayung Regency.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this research is to determine whether or not there are differences in the motivation and learning outcomes of geography Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Jadid students who live in Islamic boarding schools and outside Islamic boarding schools. Methodology:This research uses comparative quantitative research. Data collection methods use observation, questionnaires and documentation. The population of this study was all students in classes X-XII Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Jadid, totaling 113 students. There are 78 students living in Islamic boarding schools and 35 students living outside Islamic boarding schools. Sampling used the Proportional Sampling technique. The number of samples in this study was 65 students who lived in Islamic boarding schools and 32 students who lived outside Islamic boarding schools. Analysis of hypothesis testing on learning motivation variables and student geography learning outcomes using Parametric Statistics with the Polled Variance t-test formula and Independent t test SPSS 23 for Windows program. Main Findings: The results of research data analysis show that there are differences in motivation to learn geography between students living in Islamic boarding schools and outside Islamic boarding schools. Likewise, with student learning outcomes, there are differences in motivation to learn geography between students who live in Islamic boarding schools and outside Islamic boarding schools. Novelty/Originality of this study: Comparing these aspects between students inside and outside Islamic boarding schools can reveal patterns of insight regarding the impact of the learning environment, motivation and teaching methodology on geography learning outcomes.
