Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas yang mendapat perlakuan dengan menggunakan media congklak dan kelas yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan Posttest Control Only Group Design, dimana melibatkan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Populasi ini berjumlah 48 siswa kelas X SMAS Katolik St. Jhon Paul II Maumere tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan yaitu 48 siswa yang terdiri dari 24 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 24 siswa kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah berupa tes tertulis. Analisis data diolah menggunakan Uji Independent Samples t-Test. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata siswa kelas X4 yang mendapat perlakuan dengan menggunakan media congklak, dan siswa kelas X 5 yang mendapat perlakuan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Rata- rata nilai siswa pada kelas X 4 yang disebut kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas X 5 yang disebut kelas control, dengan Mean Difference = 3.91667. Hal tersebut dilihat dari nilai mean yang terdapat pada gambar diagram, dimana kelas X 4 memperoleh nilai mean 25.09 sedangkan kelas X 5 memperoleh nilai mean 21.17. Dengan demikian, hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak, dan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has challenged individuals to reconcile scientific knowledge with religious beliefs, particularly among Tadris Biology students. This study explores their perspectives on integrating science and religion in understanding the pandemic through a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative surveys assessed students’ knowledge and attitudes, while qualitative interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and document analysis provided deeper insights. Findings indicate that students generally understand Covid-19, vaccines, and the role of science in pandemic mitigation, though some misconceptions persist. Religiously, they acknowledge prayer and worship as vital coping mechanisms while considering scientific preventive measures as part of their faith-driven efforts. Statistical analysis using SPSS and thematic analysis of qualitative data highlight key themes such as faith-based coping, scientific misconceptions, and perceived harmony between science and religion. This study underscores the necessity of integrating science and religion in Tadris Biology education to promote a holistic understanding of pandemics and public health. The interdisciplinary approach enhances curriculum adaptability to global challenges, fostering a balanced and informed perspective among students. The findings suggest that blending scientific and religious views can provide a comprehensive framework for addressing contemporary issues in education and public health.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media based on Android for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects and analyze its implications in enhancing learning effectiveness. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model, which includes stages of research and data collection, planning, initial product development, product validation, revision, trials, further revision, and dissemination. The results show that the development of Android-based learning media through needs analysis, product design, expert validation, student trials, as well as product revision and refinement produces an effective media. Student responses to this learning media indicate a feasibility level of 97%, meaning that the application is highly suitable for use in learning. Interactive Android-based learning media has been proven to increase student engagement and understanding in PAI learning, particularly in Qur’an Hadith material.
