Abstract

This research delves into the complex relationship between technology adoption and the various components of corn agribusiness, with a focus on Indonesia's South Oba District. Corn, a key national commodity, faces challenges in meeting production targets set by the Ministry of Agriculture. This study investigates how technology adoption influences corn agribusiness aspects, including productivity, economic integration, and social and environmental impacts. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the research involves purposive sampling of 70 corn farmers and assesses agribusiness and cultivation technology through indicators like seed usage, soil processing, and agro-input systems. Findings reveal that despite high technology adoption, certain subsystems, notably agro-marketing and agro-industry, require improvement. The study underscores the interdependence between technology adoption and subsystems, emphasizing the need for targeted development in agro-marketing, agro-supporting services, agro-industry, agro-input, and agro-production. Recommendations include enhancing marketing strategies, improving support services, developing the agroindustry value chain, ensuring quality agro-inputs, and implementing sustainable farming practices. This interdisciplinary research aims to provide insights for policymakers, agribusiness practitioners, and researchers to navigate challenges and harness opportunities in the modernization of corn agribusiness.

Abstract

Economic growth is the primary condition of economic development. With growth, investment, increased employment opportunities, and equity are possible. Many factors are interconnected and affect economic growth. However, rapid economic growth in Indonesia has also caused environmental damage. This study aims to study the factors that affect the level of environmental pollution in Indonesia and the factors that have the most significant influence. This study used a multiple regression model. The results showed that the GDP variable (X1) and rice production variable (X2) had a significant simultaneous relationship with environmental pollution (Y), with an F value of 3.694 and a significance level of 0.032. The t-test results show that rice production (X2) has a significance value of 0.039, or below 0.05. indicates that rice production in Indonesia contributes significantly.

Abstract

The Tomalou Fishing Village Festival is one of the most significant cultural events in the Tidore Islands. This research aims to explore and analyze various dimensions of locally-based marketing communication models used to promote the festival. Through quantitative research methods, including in-depth interviews, participant observation, and content analysis, this study seeks to elucidate the effectiveness of these communication models in enhancing community engagement, fostering cultural appreciation, and attracting tourists to the Festival. Findings from this research give rise to a model called the Marketing Communication Model Rooted in Local Wisdom, which is expected to contribute to existing knowledge in cultural tourism, marketing communication, and community development.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of attitudes and perceptions on online shopping interest in the Kolaka buying and selling Facebook group. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample used was 346 respondents who were interested in online shopping in the Kolaka buying and selling Facebook group. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, research data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) method. The research results show that attitude has a positive and significant effect on online shopping interest. This is proven by the t-count or t-statistic which is higher than the t-table value which is 6.370. The research results also show that perception has a positive and significant effect on online shopping interest because the t-count or t-statistic value is higher than the value t-table is 3.829. The attitudes held by each consumer can have a big influence on interest in online shopping, especially Kolaka people who make purchases in the KJB group (Kolaka Jual Beli) and consumer perceptions have an influence on online shopping interest, especially Kolaka people who make purchases in the group (Kolaka Jual Beli) KJB.

Abstract

The study aimed to assess the technical and economic impact of plastic packaging on reducing vegetable yield losses and enhancing economic value. Conducted in Mojokerto at room temperature using research materials sourced deliberately from the Mojosari market, both primary and secondary data were collected through observation. Technical efficiency was analyzed by calculating the KHS ratio, alongside economic efficiency analysis. Results showed a significant reduction in Vegetable Yield Losses with plastic packaging: mustard (0.403%), carrots (1.352%), and beans (1.826%) compared to treatments without plastic packaging: carrots (49.862%), beans (50.575%), and mustard (51.159%). Plastic packaging demonstrated superior technical efficiency in vegetable storage. Economically, the use of plastic packaging maintained higher economic values for vegetables: mustard (Rp. 4.980,-), carrots (Rp. 4.932,-), and beans (Rp. 4.909,-), compared to treatments without plastic packaging: carrots (Rp. 501,-), beans (Rp. 494,-), and mustard (Rp. 488,-). Thus, plastic packaging proved to be both technically and economically efficient in preserving horticultural vegetables.
