Abstract

This research was conducted to know the indication of mud volcano distribution pattern using geoelectric method. This research began with geological mapping along the geoelectric path and then retrieved the data using the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration. Then the field data was processed using Res2dinv software to display cross section of each path. Interpretation of the presence of mudvolcano was indicated by resistivity value (4.5 ± 0.5) Ωm and chargeability value (60 ± 20) msec. The existence of mudvolcano was supported by the presence of bursts.mudvolcano, geoelectric method, Chargeability, Resistivity

Abstract

Bunker existence in Jembayan Village of Loa Kulu subdistrict, Kutai Kartanegara regency, was identified by using geoelectric method with configurations of Wenner Alpha and Dipole-Dipole. The bunker area was located at the zone of 50 UTM with UTM’s coordinate position, namely: UTM X 0502449 and UTM Y 9939205, consisting of 7 measurement points using 2 configuration, i.e.: Wenner Alpha configuration and Dipole-dipole configuration. The length of each measuring point is 72 m, using spaces between 1.5 m electrodes and the distance from each measuring point is 5 and 10 m. From the research results it was obtained the cross-section of inversion from Res2DINV which describes the existence of bunker. The cross-section of the inversion related to the resistivity ranging from 2.888 Ωm to 9.103 Ωm indicated the resistivity values of the underground bunker area. On the path of all measurement points (path A, B, C, D, E, F, G) there was an indication of bunker with different resistivity values.

Abstract

Information on the intensity of gamma-rays scattered by the rock formation is contained in the density-log which is the output of a well logging system. In this research it was studied the relation of the intensities with the physical properties of the rocks in a rock formation. The study was performed by determining the intensities of gamma-rays scattered recorded in the data of density-log’s curves and continued by analyzing the rock’s physical properties that might decrease the intensities of gamma rays, such as molecular weight, coefficient of attenuation, and scattering cross-sectional. Result of the research was the graph which can be used to predict the properties of any sediment rocks by only using the scattered gamma ray intensities recorded in the data of density log.

Abstract

Abstract

The geomagnetic method is one of the geophysical methods based on measurement of the variation of the intensity of the magnetic field at the Earth's surface caused by the existence of variations have been magnetized objects distribution under the Earth's surface. Added to the results of a study of literature method of gravity as the comparison data to see the structure of the research area on a regional basis. From the results of gravity anomaly values obtained residual (High Pass Filter) using Gaussian filtering of local gravity values obtained range between -25 mGal until 16,1 mGal at a depth of 1,2 km on a regional basis have geological structures that affect the shape of the rock formations in the area of research is the result of the adoption of rock (intrusion) and from the results of magnetic inversion models 3D mineralized zone indication obtained iron ore to the value suseptibilitas range between 0.01 until 0.02556.

Abstract

Geoelectric Resistivity is one of the geophysical methods that utilize different electrical properties in the earth in the form of resistance type in rocks. In this research, was measurements on Kadrie Oening Street at Pulau Balang formation and measurement of laboratory scale resistivity at Electronic and Instrumentation Laboratory. From the field measurements, three configurations are used: Wenner Alpha, Dipole-Dipole and Pole-Dipole. From the three configurations, sandstone resistivity value between 11.93 W.m to 33.61 W.m, clay ranged between 3.86 W.m to 10.82 W.m, siltstone range between 4.80 W.m to 9.72 W.m, coal ranged between 83.88 W.m to 216.47 W.m. The resistivity data inversion shows that the Wenner Alpha and Dipole-Dipole configurations are more compatible with field conditions in displaying the slope of the coating than the Pole-Dipole configuration.

Abstract

This research was performed the identifity the lithology of weak zone as a surface of the landslide based on seismic velocity of seismic refraction tomography. The research was conducted on the main road of Tenggarong-Kutai Barat and also on the road of Samarinda-Tenggarong, in Kalimantan Timur. Data acquisition was conducted in one line travel with nine shot point in the same interval. This method used the picking first break of the seismic trace. This travel time as send input data of the Rayfract software of processing of seismic refraction tomography. The processed data shown the image of the seismic velocity of subsurface. The slip surface is interpretated from the boundry of sandstone and clay with velocity of (400 m/s - 1000 m/s) and of (1000 m/s -2500 m/s) respective. The identification on each revealed the types of rock in the study area.
