Abstract

Introduction: Hyperthermia is a condition where the body temperature has increased more than 37.5oC. The normal value of body temperature is 36.5°C –37oC. Peripheral sponge therapy can be used in hyperthermic patients. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to describe nursing care with the application of tepid sponge therapy to reduce hyperthermia. Methods: The writing used a descriptive method with a nursing process approach consisting  of assessment,  diagnosis,  planning,  implementation and evaluation. Research subjects 2 clients with hyperthermia nursing problems. Results: The results showed that on the 3rd day, An "I" family said that An "I" had improved body temperature and Objective Data was 36.3oC, pale (decreased), N: 90 x/minute (decreased), skin redness (decreased). The problem is resolved, the intervention is continued at home by providing education to the family. Meanwhile, An's family "R" said body temperature was improving, and  Objective  Data  was  body  temperature  36.8oC,  pale  (decreased),  N:88x/minute (decreased) RR: 22x/minute (decreased), the problem was resolved, intervention continued with family education. Conclusions: After being given nursing care with the application of tepid sponge therapy to 2 patients, it can be concluded that the application of tepid sponge therapy can reduce hyperthermia.

Abstract

Introduction: Gout Arthritis or commonly referred to as gout is an inflammatory disease of the joints that can cause pain, heat, swelling, and stiffness in the joints caused by excess uric acid content in the blood resulting in accumulation of uric acid crystals in the joints and soft tissues other. Non-pharmacological therapy that can be done is giving warm compresses of lemongrass boiled water. Method: This study uses the case study method. The subjects used were 2 people with a medical diagnosis of Gout Arthritis. The instrument for collecting data used a questionnaire and NRS. Results: The results of the application show that after giving lemongrass warm compresses 1 time a day for 3 days within 20 minutes each administration the pain scale decreases or even disappears when evaluated on the third day where in the first patient before the pain scale intervention was 6 and after the pain scale intervention to 0 while the second patient before the intervention had a pain scale of 6 and after the intervention had a pain scale of 2. Conclusion: Warm compresses of lemongrass boiled water can reduce acute pain in Gout Arthritis patients.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is the cause of various serious diseases and complications. One of the signs and symptoms of hypertension is difficulty sleeping. Therefore it is necessary to improve the quality of sleep so that the blood pressure of someone who suffers from hypertension does not increase and can be controlled properly. One of the alternative treatments that are widely used by people today is alternative medicine with cupping therap. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to describe nursing care by applying cupping therapy procedures to improve sleep quality in hypertensive patients. Methods: This research uses a case study descriptive method by analyzing in depth a research object whose unit of analysis is individual from assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Respondents amounted to two people with a medical diagnosis of hypertension. Results: The results showed that on the fourth day P1 and P2 said they had no difficulty sleeping, no dizziness, no pacing, not supported by objective data the patient did not appear restless, with an interpretation of the assessment the problem was resolved. Conclusions: After being given nursing care with the application of wet cupping therapy to 2 patients, it can be concluded that wet cupping therapy can improve sleep quality in hypertensive patients.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Kualitas kompresi jantung luar merupakan komponen utama dari Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD). Banyak sekali pendekatan yang sudah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa, tetapi baru sedikit yang berfokus pada penggunaan alat bantu untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa. Tujuan: Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan CPR Device Apps yang berbasis Smartphone untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan mahasiswa dalam melakukan tehnik Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Metode: Penelitian ini mengacu pada Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dan lebih memfokuskan pada penerapan model evaluasi keterampilan klinik keperawatan gawat darurat pada prosedur praktik Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Prosedur atau langkah-langkah penelitian tindakan kelas ini terdiri dari siklus-siklus yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil: Rata-rata depth (kedalaman) kompresi dada yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa adalah 4,2 cm. Ritme atau kecepatan kompresi dada yang dihasilkan oleh mahasiswa memiliki rata-rata 88 kompresi/menit. Kesimpulan: Dengan menggunakan CPR device app, mahasiswa keperawatan dapat mengidentifikasi dan mempertahankan kedalaman, laju, dan relaksasi yang tepat dalam kompresi dada, serta mencapai akurasi kinerja CPR di lingkungan yang aman. Sehingga, penggunaan device app sangat direkomendasikan untuk digunakan pada setting pembelajaran laboratorium pada praktik keperawatan

Abstract

Introduction: Instability of blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia) is a condition of increased blood glucose levels that can take place acutely and chronically caused by heredity, obesity, overeating, lack of exercise, and lifestyle changes. One of the diseases that can cause unstable blood glucose levels is Diabetes Mellitus. In the case of Diabetes Mellitus, it is caused by an increase in blood glucose levels which is characterized by the absence of insulin in the body accompanied by the classic symptoms of Diabetes Mellitus, namely polyuria, polydipsia, polyphagia. The Aim of this study is to describe the physical activity of leisure walking to reduce blood glucose levels in patients with Diabetes Mellitus. This research method uses a descriptive case study method by analyzing in depth a research object whose unit of analysis is individual from assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Two respondents with a medical diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Results: The results showed that on the third day of R1, patients said they were tired or lethargic (decreased), patients said they had increased thirst (decreased), high blood glucose levels (improved), GDA: 90 mg/dL the problem was resolved. Whereas in patient R2 the patient said he was tired or lethargic (decreased) and had high blood glucose levels (improved), GDA: 165 mg/dL and the problem was resolved. Conclusion: After being given nursing care with leisurely walking physical activity to 2 patients, it can be concluded that this therapy can reduce blood glucose levels in Diabetes Mellitus patients.
