Abstract

KH. A. Wahab Chasbullah is one of the Indonesian Islamic figures who lived in several historical eras of the journey of the Indonesian state, starting from the colonialism era, the independence era, the Old Order political era to the New Order political era. In every history of the political journey of the establishment of the Indonesian state, there are many ego interests between groups of Indonesians that can lead to conflict and tension among the children of the nation. This paper discusses the thoughts and ideas of KH. A. Wahab Chasbullah based on Islamic religious norms in the life of the Indonesian nation and state. Using the descriptive-analytic method and the maqashid ash-shari'ah approach, this article describes KH. A. Wahab Chasbullah's thinking model that is characterised by ahlus sunnah wal jama'ah with the tradition of pesantren religious studies. The contribution of KH. A. Wahab Chasbullah's Islamic thought is reflected in his thoughts on love for the homeland, the relationship between religion and the state and respect for local traditions and culture.

Abstract

Teachers of course have a role in helping their students succeed, as well as in the process of memorizing the Al-Qur'an. In this case, assessment and intervention support teachers' efforts to maximize their role. The aim of this research is to determine the obstacles students face in memorizing the Al-Qur'an, and then determine appropriate interventions and programs according to their needs. This research method is qualitative, using observation in-depth interviews and a case study approach. The results of this research show that the obstacles for santri in memorizing the Koran are the lack of ability of santri to memorize the Al-Qur'an, the lack of enthusiasm of santri in memorizing the Al-Qur'an, and the lack of consistency of santri in memorizing the Al-Qur'an. Then the intervention carried out was to adjust the condition of the students, push and pull and be firm.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of catcalling habits on the mental condition of school-aged female students at Pondok Pesantren Darul Qur'an Wal Irsyad. The research methodology employed a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data were collected through surveys and interviews with female students of school age at the mentioned Islamic boarding school. The results of this study indicate that not all students feel comfortable when subjected to catcalling. The habit of catcalling can be considered demeaning to women, and it can harm their mental well-being. The quantitative findings reveal that a majority of the students feel disturbed by catcalling, while the qualitative data unveil various experiences and perceptions of the students regarding this phenomenon. This research provides a better understanding of the impact of catcalling habits on the mental condition of school-aged female students in Islamic boarding schools. The results can serve as a basis for the boarding school and the community to raise awareness about the importance of respecting women and avoiding behaviours that demean them. Furthermore, this research contributes to the literature on gender and mental well-being within the context of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

The practice of Islamic teachings related to morals is one of the aspects emphasized in education at Islamic boarding schools. This article examines the moral hadiths contained in the book al-Majalis al-Saniyyah fi al-Kalam 'ala Arba'in al-Nawawiyah as the yellow book which is still taught in Islamic boarding schools. The book includes explanations from the book Arbain Nawawi, where this book is also widely taught in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, It contains a collection of hadith related to faith, fiqh and the majority of morals. The method used is descriptive-analytical with a book analysis study approach (bahsu al-kutub) to find out: (1) what is the urgency of teaching the book in Islamic boarding schools, (2) what are the systematics and methods used and (3) what are the hadiths? morals contained in the book and how the author of the book explains the meaning of the hadiths. This article finds that; First, this book needs to continue to be taught because the matan hadith book, namely Arbain Nawawi, has not explained the meaning contained in the hadith. Second, the systematic writing follows the systematic writing of the book Arbain Nawawi and the method used is the tahlili method. Third, in this book, there are 24 hadiths related to morals. When explaining the meaning of hadith, the book's author includes verses from the Koran, the hadiths of the Prophet SAW. others with the same theme, as well as mentioning the benefits and useful stories related to the hadith theme.
