Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of rice import tariff policy for rice supply and demand, as well as the welfare level of the rice farmers and consumers of rice in the domestic market. The data used in this research is secondary data which is the time series data in 1990-2006. Analysis performed using Econometrics model in the form of simultaneous equations. Rice import tariff policy has positive effects on rice crop area of Java, the rice crop area Non-Java, Java rice productivity, rice prices at the producer level, and the price of rice at the consumer level, but a negative effect on rice stocks, imports of rice, and rice consumption. Increased import tariffs would reduce welfare only economic actors, on the other hand elimination of import tariffs will improve the welfare of economic actors. Key words: import tariff, welfare

Abstract

Determining production scale is important role in farming.  Lele dumbo growth cultivation contributed on enlargement of family income in rural. The goal of the research was to determine the production scale of lele dumbo growth.   The research did on April until November 2006 located at Central Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. The location determined purposively considering that lele dumbo production was higher than others. The survey method was done by survey.  Forty farmers were choosen as respondents purposively.  The model of research was built on Frontier production function.  The result of research performed that the lele dumbo growth on the decreasing returns to scale or at the rational stage (stage II).  Key words:  production scale, frontier production function, lele dumbo growth

Abstract

Background of the study is a corn’s production in Lampung province is high, but some companies of cattle feed is still lack of corn stock.  This study aims to find out the distributíon patterns and marketing channels to analyze the efficiency of corn marketing in South Lampung regency. This study was conducted in Ketapang and Natar districts. Respondents of this study were 51 corn farmers, 11 traders and 3 consumers.  Respondents were taken using Simple Random Sampling and Snowball Sampling method. This study uses distribution pattern analysis, marketing margins analysis and price elasticity transmissions analysis.  Data collection was done by in-depth interviews and expressed both qualitatively and quantitatively . The study was conducted in September-November 2009.  The results showed that 22, 48 percent of the corn in South Lampung distributed out Lampung and marketing of corn in South Lampung regency was  still not efficient.  Key words: distribution pattern , marketing efficiency, corn

Abstract

Regency augmentation performs interesting phenomenon approximating the new autonomous region in Lampung Province.  There had been 10 the new autonomous regions since 1991 until 2008.  The regency augmentation has been presenting the opportunity and new hope for the autonomous region to arrange its own region dialed with welfare escalation and enlargement distribution.  Even though, Regency financing still depend on centralization transfer called general fund allocation.   This paper purposes to analyze the regional inequality between regency and the regency dependency on fiscal toward general fund allocation in Lampung Province. This study did in June until October 2010 with the purposive sampling regency included West Lampung, Tanggamus, Tulang Bawang, East Lampung, Way Kanan and Metro regency.  Time series data analysis with Williamson inequality index and finance dependency with share portion.  Based on the analysis, the Williamson index on region inequality between the new autonomous region and the elderly region performed on lower condition. It is indicating that regency augmentation has been succeeding in creating the development distribution in Lampung Province.  Fiscal dependency on general fund allocation accessible is more than 60% until 80% on income region.   In general, this means that the new autonomous region still depend on general fund allocation significantly, except Tanggamus regency. Key words: augmentation, the regional inequality, general fund allocation

Abstract

This research aims to test the influence of applying material and non material sanction toward of escalation of commitment.  Hypothesis testing is done by using experimental with factorial between subject design 2x2.  This research is done in Lampung University for students who have taken financial management lesson.  They are 60 students. Based on the result of manipulation test that data is inserted into next processing. It is amount 56 people.  Examination of hypothesizing is done by using one way anava statistical analysis, result of research indicates that result of this research as the same as the agency theory, that escalation of commitment is rational thing for a manager. It is supported by mean which is produced by group 3, that is 7133 when sanction of material in the form of loss of bonus which will be received by manager, so that the pressure push manager to take risk of failing activities. But, yielded influence is not significant statistically at mistake level  5%. It shows existence of other factors which influence interaction of two variables. Estimated factors are for example feeling responsible.Key words: sanction, eskalation of commitment, agensi theory, insentive theory

Abstract

This study wanted to know how the application of accounting at the micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially MSMEs in the town of Bandar Lampung as a first step in establishing research and development activities are appropriate at a time when that will come. The variables that will be seen as the application of accounting in MSMEs are: recording system and reporting for financial transactions, knowledge of micro small and medium businesses (MSMEs) on accounting, knowledge of micro small and medium businesses (MSMEs) about the tax, the use of information technology in business, and business decision-making system. The conclusion that can be generated from research that uses 55 micro small medium enterprises (MSMEs) as a sample of the research are: the micro small and medium businesses (MSMEs), most have not been doing the accounting process as a recording system that produces financial reports.  The small micro business medium enterprises (MSMEs) have sufficient knowledge about the concept - general concepts of accounting but does not have sufficient knowledge about accounting process itself.  Most of the small and medium businesses (MSMEs) do not have enough knowledge about taxation. the majority of the perpetrators of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are not applying information technology in their business field. Most of the small and medium businesses (MSMEs) make operational decisions with a rational business but still make plans only limited in memory just is not translated in the form of documents.  Keywords: Accounting Aplication, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises

Abstract

This study aims at finding out the influences of three variables (motivation learning attitude, and learning source implementation toward students’ achievement in English at MAN 1 Metro. The method used in this research is ex-post de facto involving three independent variables and one dependant variable. The population is all the students of XI class, social program in MAN 1 Metro. The sample is taken by using proportional random sampling system involving 59 students which 50% of 157 populations. The result of research and data analysis shows that there are significant correlations between the three independent variables and the dependant variable. The data show that (1) there is a significant correlation between students’ attitude toward the lesson, and their English Achievement (correlation coefficient (ryx1) 0,694). (2) There is a significant correlation between students’ motivation and their English Achievement (correlation coefficient (ryx2) 0,765).  (3) There is a significant correlation between the implementation of learning resource and the students English Achievement (correlation coefficient (ryx3) 0,548). Therefore, it is suggested that the teachers raise students’ motivation and improve their attitude toward learning English. Due to the high importance of learing reasources to help students improve their ability in English, the school is suggested to provide learning resources. Key words: attitude, motivation, source of learning, English Achievement
