Abstract

This study describes the appropriateness of AlliSya Protection Plus Unit Link waqf features based on the DSN-MUI Fatwa regarding Endowment of Insurance Benefits and Investment Benefits of Sharia Life Insurance at PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia. This study aims to study the contracts contained in the waqf product features with uses field research studies, literature reviews and qualitative data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Waqf Unit AlliSya Protection Plus features is following the National Sharia Board Fatwa because it has fulfilled the provisions for waqf of insurance benefits, waqf of investment benefits, and provisions of ujrah. This waqf feature product utilizes tabarru, wakalah bil ujrah, mudaraba, waqf, wills, and qardh contract. Waqf funds will be distributed to waqf institutions (nazir) received by the policyholder dies. The implementation of waqf features in sharia life insurance products is encouragement in increasing the collection of endowment funds, thereby increasing both the welfare of society and economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze differences in demographic factors towards retirement planning behavior according to Islamic perspective. This research wants to analyze the influence of clarity of purpose, retirement attitude and potential conflict towards retirement planning behavior according to among the Muslim who is working in a conventional bank and the Islamic Bank. The sample used in this study as many as 270 respondents of both conventional & Islamic Banker in Indonesia.   There are two methods that are used in this research which are ANOVA and Multiple Linear Regression. The results identified several demographic variables that were significant such employment status (either working in the conventional bank or Islamic Bank) and income level. Furthermore, some demographic variables do not significant including age, number of dependents and level of education. This research also shows that non-demographic variables such as clarity of purpose, retirement attitudes and potential conflicts affect significantly to influence the behavior of bankers in retirement planning according to Islamic perspective.  In conclusion, the conventional Muslim bankers know that they should manage their retirement according to the Shariah value. However, some of them didn’t believe that the Shariah investment instrument can fulfill their desired retirement goals.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the factors that influence the intention to choose halal tourism in Indonesia using the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) model. Data samples used in this study were 265 respondents and processed with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences to test the significance of the regression model. The independent variables are attitude, subjective norm, and halal certification and its impact on behavioral intention. The results show that attitude, subjective norm, and halal certification have a positive and significant effect on behavioral intention to visit halal tourism. Halal tourism practitioners can estimate the behavior of prospective millennial visitors through this paper. As for academics, this paper is used for further research by integrating halal certification in TRA as a predictor of behavioral intention in millennial Moslems. Empirically this research is useful to increase understanding of halal tourism and visitor behavior. Halal tourism is a relatively new phenomenon for practitioners and academics. This study is an initial study investigating the determinants of millennial Moslems' visits through the TRA model. Therefore, this paper will be useful as an academics contributions about millennial Moslems to visit halal tourism in Indonesia and the world.

Abstract

This research aims at identifying the impact of distributive justice of compensation, interactional justice, and procedural justice toward employee’s deviant workplace behavior. This research was a quantitative descriptive research. The sample of the research were in total of 219 employees working at Sharia Financial Institution Yogyakarta. The sample were compiled using saturated sampling technique. The variable measuring scale used in the research was likert scale. The data analysis was done using IBM SPSS version 26 with the technique of multiple linear regression data analysis. The research results showed that distributive justice on compensation negatively impact on deviant workplace behavior, interactional justice has a negative impact on deviant workplace behavior, and procedural justice also has a negative impact on deviant workplace behavior. The unjust perspective experienced by employees will lead to resistance within the inner selves of the employees which consequently lead them to master up courage in performing some deviants against the organization.

Abstract

This study aims to know the Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr ideas about the distribution and analyze the relevance of Baqir Al-Sadr's thinking in the current economic context. This literary research is classified as a study of figures who studies Baqir Al-Sadr's thoughts on the concept of distribution. This study found that Baqir Al-Sadr's thoughts contradict with other capitalist thoughts. Conventional economic thinkers argue that economic problems arise due to resource scarcity, but Baqir Al-Sadr believes that economic problems arise due to unequal distribution. Fairness of distribution in the context of zakah is very relevant. The relevance of wealth distribution is the practice of the zakah system through BAZ and LAZ. They cannot play a maximal role in changing the position of mustahiq-muzakki if the state is not present. The presence of the state has an important role in creating and maintaining social justice. Baqir Al-Sadr's thoughts are written in the monumental work of Iqtisaduna which discusses the theory of production and distribution.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of macroeconomic on the growth of Islamic bonds (sukuk) in Indonesia period 2013.1-2016.12. This study uses Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method with a monthly time series starting from January 2013 until December 2016. The results of this study indicate that the Production Index (IP) and Bank Indonesia Syariah Certificate (BSBIS) variables positively and significantly affect the development of state sukuk issuance in Indonesia, then inflation negatively and significantly affects the development of state sukuk issuance, while the JII variable negatively and does not significantly affect the development of state sukuk issuance in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of income on individual behavior in paying zakat and its elasticity. Zakat is an Islamic obligation, but there are still high-income individuals who still do not pay zakat. This research uses the probit regression method to observe individual behavior in paying zakat, while to examine the elasticity, a simple linear regression method was used. The results obtained from the probit regression are income variables do not affect the individual decision in paying zakat, while the education, religiosity, homeownership status and loan variables were significant toward an individual decision in paying zakat. The result of a simple linear regression with a natural logarithmic model shows that the relationship of income with the amount of zakat was inelastic. That is, the percentage increase in the amount of zakat is less than the percentage increase in income.
