Abstract

This study discusses the meaning of dzikr (remembrance) and nisyan (forgetting) in the Qur'an by relating them to the concept of memory in modern cognitive science. This study shows that the Qur'an not only emphasizes spiritual aspects but also pays attention to the psychological mechanisms and cognitive processes that influence how humans remember and forget various life experiences. This study uses a library research approach by examining classical interpretations, cognitive psychology literature, and other scientific sources to find consistent and complementary relationships between the two. Dzikr is understood as a spiritual activity that aims to strengthen human awareness, focus, and relationship with Allah, while fostering inner peace. From a cognitive perspective, dzikr is similar to the process of strengthening memory through repeated attention, repetition of information, and consistent mental exercises that improve memory sharpness. In contrast, nisyan does not only refer to forgetting in a biological context, but also describes spiritual negligence that causes humans to turn away from the values of truth and divine guidance. The integration of these two concepts confirms that human memory is the result of a combination of cognitive, emotional, and spiritual aspects, as well as an ever-evolving state of consciousness.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Islam and science in university-level language learning. The purpose of this research is to identify integrative teaching strategies, evaluate their impact on students’ holistic understanding and critical thinking skills, and explore the challenges encountered during implementation. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews with lecturers and students and an analysis of curriculum documents. The theoretical framework is grounded in the theory of knowledge integration, contextual teaching and learning, and constructivism. Results indicate that lecturers successfully combine linguistic concepts with Islamic values and scientific principles, enhancing students’ overall understanding and fostering critical and creative thinking. Additionally, contextualizing language courses with an Islamic perspective and using Quranic verses as reference materials adds an ethical dimension to the learning process. However, challenges include limited comprehensive academic resources, insufficient lecturer training, student resistance to multidisciplinary approaches, and inadequate institutional policy support. In conclusion, integrating Islam and science effectively enriches the learning experience, provided that improvements in academic resources and institutional policies are implemented.

Abstract

This study examines the compatibility between the Qur'an's description of embryology and modern scientific findings. The Qur'an has described the stages of human development through terms such as nutfah, alaqah, and mudghah, as well as the formation of bones and flesh, which are highly relevant to contemporary embryology. The research method uses a comparative approach, comparing the Qur'anic verses describing human creation with modern embryological research, particularly the stages of fertilization, implantation, gastrulation, and organogenesis. The results show a significant correlation between Qur'anic terminology and embryological processes confirmed by modern science. The stages of nutfah correspond to the process of fertilization; alaqah describes the embryo attached to the uterine wall; mudghah describes the segmentation phase of the embryo; and the formation of bones and flesh is in line with the development of the skeletal and muscular systems. The study also cites the recognition of embryological scientists, such as Dr. Keith L. Moore, who acknowledged the accuracy of Qur'anic terminology in describing embryonic development. The study's conclusion confirms that the Qur'ān is not only a book of spiritual guidance but also contains universal, transcendental scientific knowledge. This conformity proves that Islam does not conflict with science, but rather encourages scientific development to understand the majesty of God's creation. Integration of Islamic values with scientific development to understand the majesty of Allah's creation. scientists. The integration of Islamic values with the development of science is expected to yield a generation with strong faith, critical thinking, and noble character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the mathematical concepts contained in the hadiths on livestock and agricultural zakat maal. The lack of studies that explicitly reveal the mathematical content in the hadith text, especially related to zakat maal, provides an opportunity to conduct normative studies on the hadiths that contain detailed provisions related to nishab, zakat levels, and property classification, which indirectly reflect a strong logical and numerical structure. This study uses a literature study method (library research) with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained from authentic hadith books, such as Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and Sunan Abu Dawud, as well as relevant fiqh references and scientific articles. The data analysis technique was carried out through a content analysis approach to identify and describe the mathematical content in the hadith. The results of the study indicate that the hadiths on zakat maal contain various mathematical concepts, including: (1) linear inequalities in zakat on camels and agricultural products; (2) bijective functions and arithmetic sequences in determining camel zakat; (3) data grouping and implication logic in goat zakat; (4) comparison, multiples, and arithmetic operations in cow zakat; and (5) the concept of fractional numbers, multiplication of fractions, and conversion to percentages in agricultural zakat. These findings indicate that hadith not only functions as a source of sharia law, but can also be used as an authentic context for learning mathematics.

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between the application of green technology and the realization of the 15th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely "Life on Land", and its relevance to God's command in the Qur'an to protect and preserve nature. This study highlights that environmental damage that has occurred since the beginning of human civilization is caused by a lack of awareness and knowledge of the impact of human actions on the sustainability of life on earth. Green technology emerged as a modern solution based on the principles of economic efficiency, social comfort, and environmental sustainability to minimize negative impacts on the sustainability of nature. In this context, the application of green technology in realizing SDGs '15 is in line with the word of Allah SWT in the Qur'an which prohibits damage on earth and commands humans as caliphs on earth to maintain the balance and sustainability of the ecosystem. Through the development of environmentally friendly technology, humans not only contribute to the achievement of SDGs 2030, especially SDGs '15, but also carry out spiritual responsibilities to God's command to create sustainable life on earth.
