Abstract

ABSTRACTFrequency Effect on growth of seedlings water provision jabon Red (Anthocephalus Macrophyllus (Roxb.) Havil)The supply of water to the seeds of red jabon can enhance plant growth. In this research studied the effect of watering frequency on growth jabon water red. This study was conducted in Greenhouse Silviculture Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sam Rarulangi which runs from August s / d in October 2012. The purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of a good watering the seedlings growth jabon red. This study used an experimental method completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. Treatment A Watering the first time (600 cc), B is watering 2 times (300 cc), C is watering 3 times (200 cc) and D is Watering 4 times (150 cc). Growing media used in this study are basic media such as soil, sand and chicken manure with a ratio of 7: 2: 1. The parameters measured were plant height, diameter, leaf number, root volume, dry crown weight, temperature and humidity. The results showed that there is an influence on the frequency of watering is water height growth, diameter, number of leaves, root volume and dry weight of seedlings jabon red canopy. Watering 2 times a day (300 cc), can provide good results in high growth, diameter, number of leaves and dry weight of the canopy. While the root volume parameter, watering 4 times a day (150 cc) gives good results.

Abstract

Drought is one ofthe effects of climate change due to water shortage conditions that accur within a specifiedperiod. This happens because the region received rainfall below average, North BolaangMongondow, an area of this research study is an area is sensitive to reduce rainfall, the dataindicate that the decline in productivity in the district due to rainfall. This study aims to estimateevapotranspiration in rice in the Northern Bolaang Mongondow districts using water balancemodel developed Handoko (1994). The conclusion that the model is able to predictevapotranspiration centers (Sangkub, Bintauna, Bolang Itang Timur, Bolang Itang Barat,Kaidipang dan Pinogaluman). Keywords: Climate, Evapotranspiration, simulation models, Productivity, Water Balance.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe morphological and behavioral characters indicate the identity of the type or species of insects and closely related to the selection and determination of the type of insect food. This study aimed to see differences in morphological characters Necrobia spp. on some kinds of deposits. It is hoped this research can provide information on morphological characters Necrobia spp. on some kinds of deposits. This study uses survey methods, and sampling was done by "purposive sampling" is intentionally sampling by selecting and determining the sampling site. The results showed that the morphological Necrobia spp. imago on copra, dried shrimp and fish rowa there is a difference. Morphological differences Necrobia spp. imago views of body size, body color, male and female differences. Dense population Necrobia spp. imago the highest in the kopra 33.25 individu/500gr, dried shrimp followed the 31.5 individu/500 gr, then the fish rowa 27.25 individu/500gr while the peanuts are not found Necrobia spp.

Besides the development of the snack industry and fast food restaurants are one of the raw material is potato thus increasing the demand for potato products both in quantity and quality that is safe for consumption. This study aims to determine the population growth miridae (Nesidiocoris tenuis and Lygus sp) on potato in Linelean Village District Modoinding. The research took place for two months from May to July 2012. Observations development of populations miridae (N. tenuis and Lygus sp.) Executed directly on the potato crop by counting the number of individuals per plant nymph and imago. Observations were carried out 5 times since 3 weeks old plants at intervals of 2 weeks is 3 (wap), 5 (wap), 7 (wap), 9 (wap), and 11 (wap). Each observation was observed 20 samples with random sampling method. The results showed the populations N. tenuis is found only on the observations I 3 (wap) and observation II 5(wap) with the average population of the observations I: 0,50 individuals and observations II: 0,80 individuals. While the populations Lygus sp. found in the observations I 3 (wap) to IV 9 (wap) with the average population of the observations I: 0.65 individuals, observations II: 1.10 individuals, observations III: 1.70 individuals, and observations IV: 1.40 individuals . Symptoms of N. tenuis is on the trunk and branches of the potato crop stylet puncture marks that are yellowish. While symptoms of Lygus sp. attack will not immediately apparent but will be visible after the leaves begin to open and enlarge. Keywords : Potato, Nesidiocoris tenuis, Lygus sp
