Abstract

Theological debate about the word “kenosis, the question is what Christ emptied of Himself. Discussions about the Doctrine of Christ or Christology are indeed endlessly discussed and debated, both by heretics and by Christian apologists. In this study, two approaches are used, namely the study of literature and the study of the theological meaning of the phrase "emptied Himself" (εαυτον εκενωσεν) in Philippians 2:7, grammatically in the sentence in the verse, namely, "He emptied himself, and took the form of a servant,” (εαυτον μορφην ), there is the word “labon” (λαβων). The word “labon” (λαβων), is an “instrumental participle”, which means to express the means of action (real or unreal). The conclusion is that the word "kenosis" has the meaning of making an empty "space" in Him to be able to fill it with the nature of a servant and a human being. Thus, it is the nature of a servant and a human being that is seen by Christ in his relationship and interaction with humans and the world.

Abstract

The Question About Existence of God from atheism, often attack the Christianity. And many of Christian do not know how to answering that. Because many Christian do not know about atheism and do not know about the danger of the atheism. The aims of this research is to know, how the Christian should answering the question about the existence of God and how the Christian responsible  their Faith to the atheism. The Method of this research is a literature analysis,  and the result of this research  can be concluded that the atheism is the result of a rational way of thinking but that rationality is not illuminated by the love of Christ and this is just like the way of every Christian who state that they are Christian or believe in God but does not show the way of life that is Obey and according with God's will.

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is to find out the Rapture of believers to the clouds, which is the same as the Apostle Paul in I Thessalonians 4: 13-18. The result is (1) Believers do not need to mourn the death of believers (2) Gathering of Believers With God (3) Simultaneous Appointment of Believers (4) Welcoming God in Space (5) Believers' Life Forever with God in heaven. So it was concluded that oaring believers need not fear when they die (die), because when we believe in the Lord Jesus as Lord and Savior in our lives, we will surely experience the lifting of clouds to meet God in the clouds. This is a statement from the apostle Paul as an Apostle of grace, so that the doctrine of the adoption of believers in the clouds must have taken place.

Abstract

One of the goals of evangelism is to change the character of the congregation that is discipled through evangelism. To achieve a significant change in character, many supporting/pushing factors are needed. Researchers in the initial observation found that one of the factors was the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The researcher then chooses the gift of prophecy and the gift of tongues, apart from being unique from other gifts, these gifts are more evenly distributed in each congregation that will be studied by the researcher. This was obtained from a brief interview with the pastor of each congregation. The gift of prophecy is essentially the gift of receiving a message/inspiration from God to be conveyed to oneself or others, in this case the congregation concerned. Then the gift of tongues is essentially the ability to speak in a foreign language that neither the speaker nor the listener understands, except for the type of xenolalia. So that the gift of interpreting/translating tongues is also needed, unless it is used as a sign of the fullness of the Spirit, which is generally for the personal needs concerned. The problem in this research is whether there is an effect of implementing the gift of prophecy and the gift of tongues on the transformation of the character quality of the Indonesian Bethel Church congregation in the East Kombos region, Manado. Then find out how big the influence is. The population in this study was the entire Indonesian Bethel Church congregation in the East Kombos area, Manado, totaling 298 people from 7 congregations. The technique used in the sampling of this research is to use proportional random sampling. To determine the number of samples to be taken in this study, researchers used the Slovin formula so that 75 people were obtained who would be used as research samples. The variables in this study were the gift of prophecy and the gift of tongues as the independent variable and the quality of character as the dependent variable. The data retrieval technique used in this study is to use a questionnaire (questionnaire) and documentation techniques. The test results using the SPSS program are known to have a significance value for the motivation variable of 0.014 so it can be concluded that there is an influence between the gift of prophecy on the transformation of the quality of the character of the GBI congregation in the East Kombos region, or Ha is accepted. For the gift of tongues variable, it is known that the significance value is 0.019, so it can be concluded that there is an influence between the implementation of the gift of tongues on the transformation of the quality of the character of the GBI congregation in East Kombos, Manado, or Ha received. The results of the simultaneous test are known to have a significance value of 0.000 so that it can be concluded that there is an influence between the implementation of the gift of prophecy and the gift of tongues on the transformation of the character quality of the GBI congregation in East Kombos, Manado, or Ha received. The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination are known that the magnitude of the influence between X1 and X2 on Y is 0.204 or 20.4%. While the remaining 79.6% is influenced by other factors not disclosed in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dirujukan untuk mengenal konteks Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Gereja. Dalam gereja yang dimaksud ialah Gereja KGMPI (Kerukunan Gereja Masehi Prostestan di Indonesia) Jemaat Getsemani Bahu. Mempelajari dan mengerti dengan benar konteks jemaat akan sangat menolong penerapan sebuah sistem pendidikan yang tepat dalam pengajaran Gereja. Pengajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Gereja mengacuh pada pengajaran yang Alkitabiah, karena dengan demikianlah landasan Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Gereja yang dikehendaki Tuhan Yesus. Jika pengajarannya adalah memenuhi kebutuhan iman jemaat maka jemaatpun akan bertumbuh. Sebab itu sangat penting sebuah desain Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam pengajaran di Gereja. Dari Penelitian ini mendorong lembaga gereja secara institusi dapat memikirkan dan mengembangkan pengajarannya sesuai dengan mekanisme pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen yang tepat termasuk dalam sistem pelayanan yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai kekristenan yang berlaku, sehingga gereja bisa bertumbuh dan berbuah bagi Kristus sesuai dengan konteks jemaatnya bukan hanya sekedar jumlah melainkan pertumbuhan Iman dalam pengenalan kepada Tuhan Yesus

Abstract

This paper is a theological analysis of the situation during the Covid 19 pandemic where the church is not ready to serve the congregation, let alone to hold a Sunday School Children's worship meeting which is held two or three times a week. This will reduce the quality and quality of faith that is loose in the growth and development of faith in Sunday school children. So that the author wants to conduct scientific research during the Covid 19 pandemic by examining "What strategies should be done to maintain the character of the faith of the Sunday School children of the GMIM Golgota congregation during the Covid 19 pandemic.For Sunday school teachers, teachers fail to keep children's attention to focus on the story of God's Word. Within the duration of 10 minutes the children in question were already flying or sleeping. This incident is an anomaly that the learning model or learning method used by Sunday school teachers from across the country has failed to maintain children's interest in worshiping online. In theory, the psychology of the learning process of Sunday school children can only focus on 15 minutes of learning, but the above fact is even shorter (10 minutes), so to be able to maintain Sunday school children's attention on Sunday school worship learning materials, appropriate teaching methods are needed.Parents fail to instill positive Christian attitudes in their children. Why is that ? This illustration shows that the child does not have social merit in following online Worship. Yes, the teacher who teaches far away. Surely there are also many other children who attend Sunday school worship but the child does not hesitate to lift his legs, sleep on a chair and end up literally fast asleep in a chair that should not be a bed. The incident above illustrates how parents fail to educate manners.This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, where the data obtained were in the form of explanations of concepts or text instead of numbers. The results of the study concluded that the strategy of Sunday school teachers to maintain the faith character of Sunday school children in the Gmim Golgota congregation during the COVID-19 pandemic was able to develop the potential of Sunday school teachers to create a method of “Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning in arranging Sunday school worship, building partnerships. holistic stewardship "

Abstract

The article contains an analytical study of the text "The form of God" according to Philippians 2: 6 and Genesis 5: 1 - 3, whether it has the same meaning based on semantic studies. This study aims to enrich the biblical treasures and to strengthen biblical theological understanding based on analysis of course. The author uses a narrative and structural analysis method with a semantic observation approach to the sentence or text "Rupa Allah" according to Philippians 2: 6 and Genesis 5: 1 - 3. With the fact that the sentence or text "Rupa Allah" according to Philippians 2: 6 and the Book of Genesis 5: 1 - 3, has a different meaning seen from semantic exploration, where "the image of God" according to Philippians 2: 6 is greater in the man Jesus Christ who has the essence of God, while "the image of God" according to Genesis 5: 1 - 3 more taxes on the immaterial first human. The things that are caused by humans in the image of God do not mean that they are divine. Humans were created on a lower level and depend on Allah even though it helps to use the same text.
