Abstract

Pompa air laut yang dikaitkan langsung dengan elektrik motor sering mengalami kerusakan yang proses perbaikannya dilakukanmelalui beberapa tahapan yaitu identification, dismantling, repairing, measuring, assembling, dan finishing. Penelitian dilakukan di Workshop PT Meratus Line yaitu pengujian secara langsung terhadap elektrik motor sebelum dan sesudah diperbaiki. Data yang diambil bersumber dari elektrik motor 3 phase pompa air laut fresh water generator MV Meratus Project 3. Sebelum perbaikan dilakukan resistance balance test dan setelah perbaikan dilakukan megger test, resistance balance test, dan running test. Mengacu pada standar EASA AR 100, diperoleh nilai pengukuran resistance balance test tidak melebihi nilai deviasi 5% dan begitu pun hasil running test menunjukkan nilai ampere yang dihasilkan tidak melebihi spesifikasi pada motor.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan terbesar di dunia memiliki posisi strategis yang mendorong pentingnya sektor maritim dalam ekonomi nasional. Kapal kargo berperan penting dalam mendistribusikan logistik, baik domestik maupun internasional. Karena jarak pengoperasian kapal kargo yang jauh dan membawa banyak barang kargo sehingga perawatan mesin kapal, khususnya mesin bantu (auxiliary engine), menjadi krusial. Fuel pump sebagai komponen utama mesin bantu memerlukan perawatan optimal untuk menjaga kinerjanya. Pada kapal RRE (Red Resource) milik PT. Meratus Line, ditemukan keausan pada plunger barrel dalam fuel pump yang mengakibatkan penurunan kinerja dan peningkatan konsumsi bahan bakar. Masalah ini ditangani di workshop PT. Meratus Wahana Karya melalui penggantian komponen yang aus serta perawatan menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kondisi plunger barrel yang aus, mengidentifikasi penyebab kerusakan, mengevaluasi proses perawatan, serta mengkaji peningkatan kinerja setelah maintenance. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan literature review. Hasil penelitian diharapkan memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis dalam pemeliharaan fuel pump, serta menjadi panduan bagi teknisi dalam menangani masalah serupa.

Abstract

Electric Motor or what is called as dynamo is a driving motor that converts electrical energy into kinetic energy. This energy change is carried out due to differences in the magnetic field in the coil so that when the coil is electrified, there will be a difference in the magnetic field which causes movement. Rustibus 2000 is a rust removal machine (scaling machine) that removes rust from the surface of ships. The role of the dynamo on the Rustibus is very continuous so maintenance must be scheduled and routine. Dynamo maintenance is carried out using a parallel work system and is carried out sequentially without paying attention to work priorities. Here, researchers apply the method of network planning with the CPM (critical path method) approach by looking for critical paths so that the electric motor reconditioning work which originally took 18 hours at a cost of Rp. 2,700,000 to 17.5 hours at a cost of Rp. 2,625,000.

Abstract

This study analyzes the reliability and performance of the water pump at Ben Mboy Campus, focusing on identifying issues and causes of failures, and developing improvement recommendations. An efficient water distribution system is crucial for supporting academic and operational activities at the campus. However, the pump used to transfer water from Rotiklot Dam frequently experiences failures, impacting water supply and operational costs. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method, collecting data through observations, interviews, and performance measurements to evaluate the frequency of pump failures in relation to operational time and workload. Regression analysis reveals a positive relationship between operational time and pump failure frequency, with recommendations to enhance maintenance scheduling and workload monitoring to reduce failures and improve system reliability. The research findings are expected to provide data-driven solutions for improving the water distribution system at Ben Mboy Campus and increasing its operational efficiency.
