Abstract

The successful implementation of regional autonomy is closely linked to financial performance, which serves as a key indicator in assessing the effectiveness of regional autonomy. The relatively low Local Original Revenue (PAD) in the regencies and cities of Nusa Tenggara Barat Province is attributed to limited capacity in exploring income sources compared to their potential. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach, using secondary data sourced from the Ministry of Finance’s official portal for the years 2018-2022. The data analysis techniques used include Financial Performance Analysis, Financial Capability Index (IKK) Analysis, and the Quadrant method for mapping regional financial capability. The findings reveal that the average Independence Ratio of regencies and cities during the five-year period remains in the instructive (very low) category, with only Mataram City demonstrating a consultative (low) relationship pattern. Mataram City also exhibited the highest degree of fiscal decentralization, at 26.74%. The PAD Effectiveness Ratio is categorized as highly effective for Lombok Barat Regency, Dompu Regency, Sumbawa Barat Regency, Mataram City, and Bima City. However, regional financial performance in most districts/cities of Nusa Tenggara Barat Province from 2018 to 2022 is relatively inefficient. Six districts/cities, including Lombok Timur Regency, Mataram City, and Bima City, are categorized as having high financial capability, with an IKK above 43%. According to the Quadrant method, three districts/cities—Lombok Timur Regency, Lombok Barat Regency, and Mataram City—are positioned in Quadrant I, with a Share value greater than 12.1% and a Growth value greater than -0.6%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the spillover effect of Mataram City's growth center on the economic growth rate of the hinterland region, specifically Lombok Barat Regency. The independent variables include domestic investment in Mataram City (X1) and Mataram City's economic growth rate (X2), while the dependent variable is the economic growth rate of Lombok Barat Regency (Y). The study utilizes time-series secondary data from publications by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and other relevant agencies in Nusa Tenggara Barat, covering the period from 2010 to 2022. The Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method is employed for analysis. The findings reveal that the independent variables in this study account for 98.50 percent of the variance in the dependent variable, while the remaining 1.50 percent is influenced by factors outside the estimation model. On a partial basis, domestic investment in Mataram City does not have a significant effect on the economic growth rate of Lombok Barat Regency, indicating that this variable does not contribute to a positive economic spillover effect. However, the economic growth rate of Mataram City has a positive and significant impact on the economic growth of Lombok Barat Regency, suggesting that it contributes a positive spillover effect. Simultaneously, the combined influence of domestic investment and Mataram City's economic growth rate has a positive spillover effect on Lombok Barat Regency’s economy.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the factors that influence millennial Muslims in South Tangerang's intention to donate cash, by applying the Extended Theory of Planned Behaviour (ETPB) approach. This research involves analysis using the SmartPLS tool to evaluate the role of attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and moral obligation on cash waqf intention. The results show that positive attitudes towards waqf, social environmental influences, self-control, as well as moral responsibility play an important role in shaping cash waqf intentions among millennial Muslims. Attitude towards waqf is influenced by an understanding of the importance of waqf in Islam and the resulting social benefits. Subjective norms are shaped by family support and social environment, while perceived behavioral control is closely related to an individual's belief in his or her ability to endow. In addition, moral obligation shows a significant influence in driving cash waqf intention. This study provides important insights for stakeholders in promoting cash waqf as an integral part of economic and social empowerment in Muslim societies.
