Abstract

This study examines the moral dilemmas and themes of loneliness in Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns within the cultural and historical backdrop of Afghanistan. The novels highlight the struggles of their protagonists as they navigate betrayal, redemption, and social injustice. The research employs a literary analysis methodology, focusing on character development, symbolism, and moral decision-making. It explores how Amir’s journey in The Kite Runner reflects personal redemption, while A Thousand Splendid Suns emphasizes resilience and female solidarity in the face of oppression. Findings suggest that loneliness emerges from both internal guilt and external societal constraints, yet is ultimately transformed through sacrifice and human connection. Hosseini’s works underscore the triumph of moral integrity over suffering, making them both powerful literary narratives and reflections on universal human values. The article is devoted to analyzing morality and the motive of loneliness in Khaled Hosseini's “Kite Runner” and “A Thousand Splendid Suns”. In the setting of Afghanistan's culture, these books examine difficult human experiences like moral decisions, treachery, redemption, and loneliness.

Abstract

Abstract

The Ottoman Empire, spanning from 1299 to 1923, developed a unique imperial system by integrating elements from ancient Eastern empires, the Byzantine tradition, and the Islamic Caliphate. This empire ruled over diverse ethnic and religious groups, demonstrating remarkable adaptability in governance. The Ottoman rulers aimed to extend their influence across the Mediterranean, striving to create a powerful empire comparable to Rome. Their expansionist policies were driven by military innovation and economic structures that prioritized imperial wealth and the sustainability of the ruling elite. However, internal challenges, economic transformations, and external pressures led to the empire's gradual decline. This article examines the mechanisms of conquest, integration of peripheral regions, and modernization attempts, highlighting the empire’s resilience and ultimate dissolution.

Abstract

This article analyzes the views of the French philosopher Charles-Louis de Montesquieu on political power, law, and society. He considered laws as a product of human intellect and explained the connection between the state and society. Montesquieu took a critical approach to the concept of “paternal authority” and emphasized that political power is based on dynastic foundations. The article also examines Montesquieu’s perspectives on international law, political and civil rights, as well as the relationship between war and peace. His views on democracy and national values are also discussed. The methodology of this article employs legal and political analysis, historical-comparative methods, and legal philosophy. Montesquieu’s theories are examined in relation to modern governance, comparing his views with those of Locke, Hobbes, and Kant. A systematic approach assesses his perspectives on despotism, monarchy, and republicanism within contemporary constitutional systems.
