Abstract

Modernization has impacted all aspects of life, including transportation. As technology advances, innovations in transportation increase, leading to more convenient options like motorbike taxis, traditional taxis, and online-based transportation. This progress negatively affects conventional vehicles, such as pedicabs. This research focuses on modernization's impact on pedicab drivers in Solo, examining their characteristics and economic adaptation strategies. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The analysis revealed that age, education level, and address significantly influence drivers' decisions to take side jobs, while the number of dependents and monthly income do not. Pedicab drivers adapt economically by having part-time jobs, saving money, and receiving support from working family members.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the entry of women into the world of work indicates the development of the function and role of women in the family and society. Not only as mothers and wives, now women are starting to take on the duties of a worker. Women's participation in the labor market can be seen through the labor force participation rate indicator or LFPR. LFPR can show the percentage of the female workforce among several residents of an area in a certain period. This study aims to explain women's LFPR, especially those in the former Bojonegoro Residency area in the 2016-2020 period. The method used is a quantitative descriptive method. The data used is secondary data from BPS and related publications in several editions. The results showed that the LFPR of women in the former Bojonegoro Residency area increased from year to year, from 2016-2020. In 2016, the LFPR of women in the former Bojonegoro Residency area was 33.54% and increased to 38.6% in 2020. This increase proves an increase in women's participation in the job market, especially in the former Bojonegoro Residency area.

Abstract

As an open country, the exchange rate affects Indonesia's macroeconomic stability, especially inflation. Extreme exchange rate depreciation can cause inflation to be high so it disrupts the ultimate goal of monetary policy, namely maintaining price stability. This study identifies the effect of the exchange rate on price stability and the transmission of the exchange rate to price stability. This study uses secondary data on the Nominal Effective Exchange Rate (NEER), Consumer Price Index (CPI), Output Gap, Import Prices, and Oil Prices. The period used is 2010-2019 as quarterly data. The method that will be used in this research is VECM which will look at impulse response and variance decomposition, looking at the long-term effect of variable shocks. The results of this study indicate that shock on the exchange rate affects price stability with direct pass-through between the exchange rate variable and the consumer price index. Recommendations for a good exchange rate policy will also result in a good price stability, this is shown by the consumer price index.
