Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension and chronic kidney disease continues to increase worldwide and has the potential to experience more significant cardiovascular disease. Older patients have also reported an association between a modest decrease in glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and an increase in systolic blood pressure. As the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) increases with age, multiple complications can occur, including hypertension, diabetes, and other cardiovascular diseases. Multimorbidity is defined as the condition of having two or more chronic morbidities. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between blood pressure and multimorbidity with the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of chronic kidney failure patients at RST Dompet Dhuafa Parung, Bogor Regency. This research is a retrospective study with a cross-sectional design and using a consecutive sampling method. Data was taken from medical records on 112 samples of chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis in the period January 2021 to March 2022. The results of the Spearman correlation test showed a p-value of 0.025 on the relationship between systolic blood pressure and GFR and a p-value of 0.008 on the relationship between diastolic blood pressure with GFR. At the same time, the results of the multimorbidity statistical test with GFR showed a p-value of 0.209. It can be seen that there is a relationship between systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure with GFR, whereas there is no relationship between multimorbidity and GFR in patients with chronic kidney failure at RST Dompet Dhuafa Parung Bogor.

Abstract

Aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of game-based learning on the motivation and learning strategies of nursing students. A quasi-experimental research design that was with a pre-post test design without a control group was used in this research. The sample of the study consisted of 74 third grade students. The Sociodemographic Characteristics Question Form and Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire were used for data collection tool. The mean age of nursing students is 21.45±0.62. 85.1% of them are women. A statistically significant difference was found between the pre- and the post-test mean of the nursing students' subscales of control of learning beliefs, intrinsic goal orientation, test anxiety, self-efficacy for learning and performance (p<0.05). There were statistically significant differences between the pre and post-test Learning Strategies Scale subscale scores, nursing students obtained higher mean scores from critical thinking, help seeking, peer learning, metacognitive self-regulation subscales at the post-test (p<0.05). As a result of this study, it was found that Kahoot! has an important influence on the motivation and learning strategies of nursing students. In the development of learning in students' theoretical and practical training, using Kahoot! which is one of the game-based student response systems will be useful.

This study aims to explore the impact of Covid-19 on homecare nurses and offer solutions in the form of maximizing the role of homecare nurses in the pandemic era by using a document review. The study used an analytical review with a descriptive design. The literature was drawn from Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Pubmed, SagePub, and Semantic Scholar. With the PRISMA analysis strategy, the documents in the database (n=160), which deserve to be reviewed (n=47), and those that meet the requirements for review (n=10). The output: the pandemic caused a shortage of nurses and a moderate level of stress among nurses, where agencies experienced a decrease in demand for homecare nurses. The conclusion of this research is to maximize the role of homecare nurses in the pandemic era, it is necessary to have specific guidelines or protocols regarding COVID-19 prevention and management of homecare or for a long-term care system.

Method:This research is a quantitative research with a systematic review method. The research design used was Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT) with 9 studies. Results:Obtained from 9 studies the average p-value <0.05. p-value of diastolic blood pressure was 0.00 and p-value of systolic blood pressure was 0.00. Conclusion:Warm water therapy can be put incomplementary therapy groupcare for hypertensive patients. However, the temperature and duration of soaking the feet with warm water must be considered in order to avoid hypotension or low blood pressure
