<![CDATA[Knowledge of oral health is something that can affect the quality of a person’s teeth. If someone has good knowledge about dental and oral health, it will have a positive effect on attitudes and actions to maintain dental and oral health, and vice versa. Missing teeth is the removal of a tooth from its socket. Missing teeth at the age of 17-45 years (young adults) is mostly caused by caries. The type of research used is quantitative with analytical methods, by direct examination of respondents to determine the relationship between between the level of knowledge of oral health and the incidence of tooth loss. The number of samples is 36 people. Primary data were obtained from filling out a questionnaire and examining the number of missing teeth from each individual. The results of the chi-square thest using the fisher exact p-value = 0,011 (< 0,05). Conclusion : there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of dental and oral health with the incidence of missing teeth.]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACT Dental and oral health was part of the health of the body and was affecting the health of the body as a whole and cannot be separated. About 80% of Indonesia''s population suffered from tooth decay due to various reasons. High school students (SMA) were generally aged between 15 to 19 years and some were still teenagers. Adolescence was a period of developmental transition between children and adults, with changes in physical, cognitive, and social psychological states. High school students were at the stage of formal operational cognitive development. The study used video modified media about maintaining oral and dental health. With the aim of knowing the level of knowledge of the importance of maintaining dental and oral health in caries prevention through video modifications about the importance of maintaining oral health at MAN 4 Sukabumi. This research used analytic research with a quasi-experimental research design (quasi-experimental). Samples were taken using total sampling with a total of 151 people. Research analysis using Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the average pretest score was 8.38, the posttest average score was 8.92 and the difference was 0.54, with p value 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there was an effect of video modification media on increasing knowledge. It was concluded that there was an increase in the knowledge of class X students at MAN 4 Sukabumi in maintaining the dental health of MAN 4 Sukabumi students. Video media can also be used as a health promotion that can be used to increase knowledge about maintaining dental and oral health.]]>

<![CDATA[The Maintenance of dental and oral health is one of the efforts to improve body health. One of the causes, why a person is less concerned with dental and oral health problems, is the lack of knowledge about dental and oral health. Caring is one form of real action, which is done by someone in response to a problem. Based on Lawrence Green's theory, the behavior itself is influenced by predisposing factors, which include knowledge, confidence, beliefs, and attitudes. The goal of this study is to determine the relationship between dental and oral health knowledge and concern for maintaining dental and oral health among Junior High School students 2 Solokanjeruk. The research method used analytical research with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study amounted to 146 people. The data is processed and presented in a frequency distribution table and cross-tabulation. The results of this study showed that there was no relationship between the level of dental and oral health knowledge to concern about maintaining the dental and oral health of Junior High School students 2 Solokanjeruk.]]>

<![CDATA[Mother's efforts in maintaining the dental health of children from an early age can affect children's habits in maintaining dental health. This study aims to determine the relationship between mom's knowledge of caries and children's dental health care efforts at Posyandu Binaan Puskesmas Citalem Desa Sukamulya Kecamatan Cipongkor Kabupaten Bandung Barat. this type of research is analytical research, the research design used is cross sectional using a questionnaire. The sampling technique was purposive sampling and there were 84 respondents as research subjects. The results of the chi-square test show that the p-value of the relationship between maternal knowledge about caries and efforts to maintain children's dental health is 0.5,90. Conclusion: there is no relationship between mom's knowledge of caries and children's dental health care efforts at Posyandu Binaan Puskesmas Citalem Desa Sukamulya Kecamatan Cipongkor Kabupaten Bandung Barat (p-value > 0.05).]]>

<![CDATA[ABSTRACT Dental and Oral health problems can be caused by a persons lack of motivastion for the quality of his life. Health problems found ther are 51,9% of adolescents aged 15-24 years suffering from dental and oral health behavio is known to be lacking and low. This study aims to analyse the relationship between motivastion and quality related of life (Oral health Related Quality of Life- OHQRoL) student of Department of dental health and student of Apparatus Human Resources Managemant. This type of research is analytic with a cross-sectional design. The data were analysed using the Fisher Exact Test. The results showed that student who had strong motivastion and good quality of live in JKG students obtained 26 respondent (60.4%) with p = 0.656 and MSDMA students obtained 11 respondent (25.6%) with p = 0.735 showed that there was no statistically significant relationship between motivation and quality of life. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between motivastion and OHQRoL, for students of Department of dental health and student of Apparatus Human Resources Managemant.]]>

<![CDATA[A person's knowledge about the behavior of maintaining dental and oral health is often inconsistent. The current high rate of dental and oral disease is influenced by several factors, one of which is the behavior of people who do not realize the importance of maintaining oral health. Dental health problems that usually appear at the age of 17-25 years, one of which is the growth of the third molars, often the eruption process of the third molars is impacted. Patients aged 17-25 years must have knowledge about impacted third molars so that patients know the appropriate treatment for impacted M3 teeth according to their complaints. The aim of the study was to describe the patient's knowledge about M3 impaski dental care at the Casadienta clinic, Cimahi city. The method used is descriptive research. The population in this study were patients who came to the Casadienta clinic in Cimahi city in Mulan March-April 2022 with an accidental sampling technique of 31 respondents. The data is processed and presented in a frequency distribution table. The results of this study showed that the number of patients who had complaints of impacted teeth was 54.8%, respondents who had a low level of knowledge about impacted M3 teeth were 30%, respondents who had sufficient knowledge about treatment of impacted M3 teeth were 45.2%. The conclusion of this study showed that most of the respondents had complaints of impacted teeth and the level of knowledge of respondents about impacted M3 teeth and their treatment did not yet have a good knowledge category.]]>

<![CDATA[Dental equipment contaminated with the patient's blood and body fluids can lead to cross-infection. Dentists and dental and oral therapists are in direct contact with the patient's saliva and blood, so there is a high risk of causing disease transmission. Health workers in dental and oral health services in Indonesia have an obligation to carry out infection prevention and control (PPI) at work. This study aims to determine the Management of Cross Infection Control at Caringin Health Center, Babakan Ciparay District, Bandung City in 2022. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and filling out questionnaires. The results of the study on the Management of Cross Infection Control at the Caringin Health Center showed that the application of personal hygiene and the use of personal protective equipment and the handling of the treatment room were in accordance with the procedures. The handling of dental equipment has not been carried out 100% because it does not carry out instrument storage in accordance with infection prevention and control standards according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2012, the contra angle head and water syringe are not covered by 70% alcoholic gauze, the lamp and instrument tray are not covered with alcoholic cotton 70%. Management of infection control has not been in accordance with the Standards for Prevention and Control of Cross Infections according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2012.]]>

<![CDATA[Plaque is a soft deposit that is firmly attached to the surface of the tooth, consisting of microorganisms that multiply in an intercellular matrix when a person neglects the hygiene of his teeth and mouth. Mechanical plaque control efforts can be done by brushing teeth while chemical control is using antibacterial chemicals such as toothpaste, and mouthwash. There are various kinds of enhancing substances in toothpaste circulating in the market today such as betel leaves and xylitol. This research is entitled Overview of Decreasing Dental Plaque Index after using betel leaf toothpaste and xylitol toothpaste. The method in finding article data sources is carried out through the Pubmed, Science Direct and Google Scholar eresources databases (2015-2022) to collect relevant articles published in English and Indonesian. Terms and keywords related to Betel leaf herbal toothpaste, xylitol toothpaste, dental plaque index in the search of related subjects. Inclusion study design uses Experimental True, Experimental Quasy, and Cross sectional. Based on the results of a literature review from 7 journals consisting of the characteristics of 5 journals of the type of betel leaf herbal toothpaste and 2 xylitol toothpastes, it can be concluded that xylitol toothpaste is more effective in lowering plaque index and improving tooth and oral hygiene.]]>

<![CDATA[Knowledge of oral health is an effort that is included in prevention to maintain dental and oral health. Lack of knowledge makes dental and oral health less attention and can lead to dental and oral health problems. A preliminary study conducted on 20 students of the Al-Muawanah boarding school, showed the results of the knowledge level of 5 students in the good knowledge category, 10 students in the sufficient knowledge category, and 5 students in the lack of knowledge criteria. Islamic boarding schools teach to live clean and healthy but have never received counseling about health, besides that there are no dental health workers making health, especially dental and oral health, not getting the attention of the students of Pondok Al-Muawanah itself. The purpose of the study was to describe the level of knowledge of dental and oral health of the students of Al-Muawanah Islamic Boarding School, Cibiru. This type of research is descriptive research. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed online. The population in this study amounted to 127 people. The data is processed and presented in the form table a frequency distribution The results showed that the level of knowledge on the dental and oral health of the students of Al-Muawanah Islamic Boarding School, Cibiru was in the moderate level category of 21 students (65.6%) and knowledge of how to maintain oral health in the good category of 27 students (84.4%). The conclusion is that the level of knowledge of oral health on the students of Pondok Pesantren Al-Muawanah Cibiru is in the sufficient category, while the maintenance of dental and oral health is good.]]>

<![CDATA[Maintenance of dental and oral health is one of the efforts to improve health. The mouth is not just the entrance for food and drink, but the function of the mouth is more than that. One of the most important factors in dental and oral health of early childhood is parents where the mother has the most important role. Mother's lack of knowledge will lead to poor oral health behavior, and vice versa. Efforts to increase knowledge and prevent dental and oral health problems in children are by providing dental and oral health education to parents in need of health promotion, for example by providing counseling or information. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of counseling using leaflet media on mother's knowledge about dental and oral health maintenance at RA Nurul Hikmah. The research method used is analytical research with a quasi-experimental research design. The research design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study amounted to 40 people. The results of this study indicate that the average result of the pre-test counseling is 69.35 and the average post-test counseling result is 95.18. The value of p value on the knowledge of respondents before and after being given leaflet media was (0.000 < 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that leaflet media is effective for increasing mother's knowledge about maintaining oral and dental health.]]>
