Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the portrait of poverty in the novel Sandiwara Bumi by Taufiqurrahman al-Azizy using a mimetic approach. This type of research is qualitative research that uses descriptive methods. Qualitative research is research that has a research procedure using descriptive data in the form of written and spoken words from a person or perpetrator that can be observed. Portrait of poverty is a picture or painting in the form of exposure to the form of poverty. Poverty is the inability to meet basic needs so that they are less able to ensure the sustainability of life. The picture of poverty can be obtained from the author's speech, the speech or speech of the character, and the actions of the character contained in the novel Sandiwara Bumi by Taaufiqurrahman al-Azizy. Data collection techniques in this study are reading and understanding, giventarization, interpreting, califizing, and concluding data related to the portrait of poverty in the novel Sandiwara Bumi by Taufiqurrahman al-Azizy. The results of research found in the novel Sandiwara Bumi by Taufiqurrahman al-Azizy found a picture of poverty. The picture of poverty can be seen from several aspects. First, the forms of poverty which include: forms of absolute poverty and relative poverty. Second, factors that cause poverty include: limited natural resources, natural resources, uneven government policies and development, family burdens, and limited employment. Third, the consequences of poverty which include: crime, school dropout, and lack of basic necessities.

Abstract

The background to this research is that technological developments are increasingly rapid in human life in various fields, one of which is education. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D). The development model used in this research is a 4-D model consisting of four stages, namely: 1) define, 2) design, 3) develop, and 4) disseminate. This research used a questionnaire instrument data collection technique which was distributed to class VIII students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang. Based on the results of the student needs questionnaire analysis, the results showed that 83% of students needed digital learning media. There are 3 aspects in the research questionnaire, namely student needs in the learning process aspect which obtained a percentage of 84%, student needs in the learning media aspect 84%, and student needs in the teaching material content aspect 80%. The average percentage result for all aspects is 83%, so it falls into the "very feasible" category. From the results of the analysis of the student needs questionnaire, it was concluded that researchers needed to develop learning media in the form of interactive e-books based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This research aims to present the impact of using the project based learning (PjBL) learning model with the help of the FonBi application on the pronunciation of class VIII students at SMPN 2 Pariaman in presenting observation report texts. This research is quantitative and uses an experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. Class VIII of SMPN 2 Pariaman was used as the research population using a purposive sampling technique to select one class as a sample. The data collected involves the skill score of presenting observation report text before and after implementing the PjBL learning model with the help of the FonBi application. The instrument used is a performance test, and data analysis involves a normality test and a homogeneity test. The research results show that the value of tcount (15,200) is greater than ttable (1.69913) at a significance level of α 0.05 with a confidence level of 95%. Overall, it can be concluded that the PjBl model with the help of the FonBi application is effective in improving students' pronunciation skills in presenting observation report texts.

Abstract

Learning Indonesian aims to enable students to achieve six language skills, one of which is presenting skills. This research aims to describe the perceptions of class VIII students at SMPN 2 Pariaman regarding the implementation of the direct method model assisted by the FonBi application in learning to present observation report texts. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population in this study were class VIII students at SMPN 2 Pariaman. The sample in this study was selected using a probability sampling technique, the type of purposive sampling, namely class VIII. 3 as a class that applies the direct method model assisted by the FonBi application in learning to present observation report texts. The research results show that there is a good perception of the implementation of the direct method model assisted by the FonBi application in learning to present observation report text with an average score of 76.57 with "High" qualifications.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum has four elements of Indonesian language learning outcomes: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. At the Junior High School (SMP/MTs) education level for class VII Indonesian language subjects, one of the writing skills of writing procedural texts. This research concerns the influence of the think-talk-write (TTW) technique on students’ procedural text-writing skills, which are still relatively low. This research aims to determine the effect of applying the think talk write (TTW) on students' ability to write procedural texts. This type of research is quantitative with experimental methods. The population in this study was all students in class VII MTsN 6 Padang City for the 023/2024 academic year, totaling 352 students, represented by a sample of 32 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data for this research are scores from procedural text writing tests before and after using the think-talk write (TTW) technique. The result of this research shows that there is an influence of the use of think talk write (TTW) as evidenced by the increase in the average student calculation from 71.35 with the qualification More than Enough (Ldc) to 80.73 with the qualification Good (B).
