Abstract

This research is a quantitative study with an associative-causal (causal-comparative) approach, which aims to analyze the effect of income inequality on the Human Development Index (HDI), Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK), and fiscal independence in West Java Province during the 2018–2022 period. The data used in this study are quantitative, with a focus on measuring income inequality, the Human Development Index (HDI), the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK), and fiscal independence. The type of data used is secondary data that describes the economic and social conditions of a region during a certain period. The data collection technique in this study uses the documentation method, considering that the research is quantitative with secondary data. Based on the goodness-of-fit model test in Cities and Regencies in West Java province, it is proven that the determinant coefficient (R2) value in Regencies is 27.39 percent while the determinant coefficient value (R2) value in Cities is 87.78 percent. Therefore, it can be concluded that the determinant coefficient value (R2) in cities is higher than the determinant coefficient value in regencies. Based on the t-test, it can be seen that the labor force participation rate in both cities and regencies has a negative and significant effect on income inequality. While the labor force participation rate itself has a significant impact on income inequality in regencies and cities, fiscal independence is not sufficient to influence income inequality in regencies and cities in West Java Province. The results of the goodness-of-fit model (F-test) for regencies and cities indicate that simultaneously, the human development index, labor force participation rate, and fiscal independence influence income inequality in regencies and cities in West Java Province.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on the Stock Prices of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This research uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis methods. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, consisting of 14 companies and consistently listed on the IDX during the 2021-2024 period. The data used is secondary data from annual financial reports and closing stock prices. The results of partial hypothesis testing (t-test) show that the ROA variable has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, the ROE variable has a negative and significant effect on stock prices, while the DER variable has no significant effect on stock prices. The simultaneous test (F-test) results indicate that ROA, ROE, and DER jointly have a significant effect on stock prices. The Adjusted R Square value was 0.345, indicating that 34.5% of the variation in stock prices can be explained by these three independent variables. There limitations of this research are Low R2 score, Samples limitation, and Analytic model.

Abstract

Good financial management is a critical skill for students, who often face financial constraints yet are vulnerable to the pressures of lifestyle and consumptive behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and consumptive behavior on student financial management. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students in the Management Department at UMCI, with a sample of 32 respondents selected using a sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis to test the relationships and influences between variables. The results show that financial literacy has a positive and significant influence on student financial management. Conversely, lifestyle and consumptive behavior were found to have a negative and significant influence on financial management. These findings indicate that students with a good understanding of finance tend to be able to manage their finances more effectively, while a hedonistic lifestyle and consumptive tendencies can disrupt financial planning and discipline. The implications of this study emphasize the need to increase financial literacy among students and to control lifestyle and consumptive behavior to support their financial well-being. This research is expected to provide input for educational institutions and students in designing educational programs and policies that support better financial management.

Abstract

The crisis of public trust due to the rampant cases of fraud (Ponzi schemes and defaults) in the Wedding Organizer (WO) industry has created serious Customer Trust Issues, demanding an integrity-based strategic response. This study aims to analyze the role of Reputation Management Strategy (X1), measured through Transparency and Integrity, and Customer Experience (X2), realized through Employee Competence and Professionalism, as a function of fraud prevention, and examine its implications on Sales Increase (Y1)Case study was conducted on Twin Wedding Organizers in Medan City, involving 150 client respondents and using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) for data analysis. The results of the study show that Strategies (X1) and (X2) have proven to be significant in overcoming Customer Trust Issues (M1), confirming that eliminating Opportunity (financial transparency) and reducing Pressure (team competence) is the key to restoring trust. Success (M1) then serves as a crucial mediator that increases Positive Customer Experience (M2), which ultimately correlates significantly with Increased Sales (Y1). These findings resulted in a 3-Pillar Trust Management Strategy Model that recommends Trust-Based Governance (use of Escrow Account), Competence-Led CX, and Reputation Amplification, making it a practical guide for WO professionals in Medan to make integrity a competitive advantage.

Abstract

Digital transformation is a strategic challenge for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially in the context of technology readiness and acceptance. Although various coaching programs have been implemented by local governments, the results achieved by MSMEs show an uneven success rate. This research aims to develop a business incubator program development model based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) at the Cooperatives and MSMEs Office of North Sumatra Province. The TAM approach is used to understand technology acceptance behavior through two main constructs, namely Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), which are integrated with incubation programs and capital development. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with ten MSME actors participating in the 2024 business incubator program. The results of the study show that MSMEs feel the benefits of digital technology in increasing operational efficiency and expanding market reach. However, MSME actors still face obstacles in the application of production technology and limited access to formal financing. The incubation program is considered to be able to increase digital literacy, but it is not fully adaptive to the difference in the level of digital readiness of participants. Capital development is still informative and has not been accompanied by continuous technical assistance. This research resulted in a TAM based business incubator development model that places the perception of usefulness and convenience as the foundation for technology acceptance, and is strengthened by institutional support and a cross-agency coaching ecosystem. This model is expected to increase the effectiveness of MSME coaching in a more inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Human resources are a key factor in the success of healthcare organizations, particularly hospitals, which are required to provide quality services on an ongoing basis. This study aims to analyze the influence of work environment, salary, and job promotion on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at RSU X. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to RSU X employees and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with a Partial Least Squares approach (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4.0 software. Model evaluation included testing the validity and reliability of constructs, testing the structural model, and testing direct and indirect hypotheses. The results showed that the work environment, salary, and job promotion had a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was also proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, job satisfaction was able to significantly mediate the effect of the work environment, salary, and job promotion on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) value shows that the research model has strong explanatory power, and the predictive relevance (Q²) value indicates that the model has excellent predictive capability. These findings confirm that improving employee performance in hospitals can be achieved more effectively through efforts to improve the work environment, fair salary management, and a transparent promotion system that takes employee job satisfaction into account.

Abstract

This study analyzes the business development of Golden Gallery, an MSME operating in the bridal gown rental service, which faces limited business capacity, particularly in terms of the quantity and variety of its fashion collections amid increasing competition in the wedding service industry. The research focuses on evaluating the service marketing mix, business partnerships, and the feasibility of Islamic financing as strategic efforts to support business expansion. A mixed methods approach with a case study design was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews and consumer questionnaires as supporting data. The findings indicate that Golden Gallery demonstrates strong marketing performance with a high level of customer satisfaction. However, limitations in fashion collections remain a major constraint in meeting market demand. From an Islamic banking perspective, Golden Gallery is considered eligible for financing through a murabahah scheme to enhance business capacity, strengthen competitiveness, and ensure business sustainability. These findings reinforce the importance of Islamic financing approaches that are grounded in the strategic needs of MSMEs rather than solely financial considerations.

Abstract

The significance of the work environment in bolstering teacher performance in private primary schools served as the impetus for this study. At Nahdlatul Ulama Private Elementary School in Medan, the goals were to assess the state of the workplace, the caliber of teacher performance, and the impact of the workplace on teacher performance. The study used basic regression analysis as part of a quantitative methodology. Nine teachers made up the population; all of them participated in the study as responders. A questionnaire on a five-point Likert scale was used to gather data. Prior to hypothesis testing, normality and linearity tests were required. The results show that teacher performance is classified as very good with a mean score of 3.40, and the work environment is classified as very good with a mean score of 3.37. With a correlation value of 0.069 and a coefficient of determination of 0.005, regression results, however, do not demonstrate a positive and substantial impact of the work environment on teacher performance. This indicates that whereas other factors impact 99.5% of teacher effectiveness, the work environment only affects 0.5% of it. These results imply that in order to enhance teacher performance and contribute to the creation of school management policies, more factors should be taken into account.
