Abstract

The CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) learning method is a method that supports students in developing comprehensive reading skills and provides benefits for students to understand learning material. This study aims to conduct a literature review related to the CIRC learning model on students' reading comprehension skills. The research method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Data collection is done by documenting all articles that have similar research in the research report. The articles used in this study were 4 national journal articles obtained from the Google Scholar database using the Publish or Perish application. The use of the CIRC learning model can be developed by teachers as a learning model to improve students' reading comprehension results.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a literature review related to the influence of quizizz learning media on student learning outcomes in elementary schools. in this study using the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Data collection techniques are carried out by finding sources of articles that have similar research in this study. The articles used in this research are 12 national journal articles obtained from the Google Solar database using the Harzing's Publish Or Perish application. The results of the study show that quiziz is a fun learning medium, because in the quiziz application an educator can add interesting features and can arouse students' curiosity. It can be concluded that the use of Quizziz as a learning medium in elementary schools is very effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examined work motivation and organizational commitment on work effectiveness among local government employees in Oyo State, Nigeria. The study adopted cross-sectional survey design while simple random sampling method was used to select eight local government areas across four zones in Oyo State. Data were collected using validated scales from 180 employees. Data were analyzed using t-test of independent samples and multiple regression analysis. The result showed that work motivation and organizational commitment jointly and independently predicted work effectiveness among local government employee study participants. Also, age and work status significantly influenced work effectiveness. Concluding that work motivation and organizational commitment are strong predictors of work effectiveness. The study recommends introduction of management by objective to reward outstanding performance.

Abstract

This research work studied the Effect of Banditry on School Attendance among Students in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Nigeria. This study used a mixed method. This is a case study and the population of the study comprised 5434 students, 60 teachers and 2717 parents. The sampling techniques used were purposive sampling for the selection of schools, systematic sampling for the selection of parents and convenient sampling for the selection of teachers. Two instruments for data collection were used; Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and a Questionnaire. The validity of the instruments was determined by experts in the field of measurement and evaluation while a reliability index of 0.76 for the Questionnaire was arrived at after conducting a test re test. The reliability of the Qualitative instrument was determined through administration on a wide range of participants outside the study area. Analysis was done using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20 and percentages. The findings were presented in the form of tables, figures and analytical descriptions using themes and sub-themes. The study revealed the problems faced and the effects of Banditry on Secondary School attendance such as: the feeling of fear and anxiety, trauma and psychological impact, disruption of daily school routines and extra-curricular activities, lack of safety measures, displacement and destruction of infrastructure and economic impact among others. The study recommended that to ensure safety, security and safe learning environment, parents and guardians should be engaged in discussion on safety measures.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how singing is an alternative in introducing daily prayer at the Aba Karanaganyar Kindergarten. Aba Karanganyar Kindergarten is part of an Aisyiyah organization which has a mission in education, namely teaching monotheism, one of which is by memorizing daily prayers. This type of research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection in this research included interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research show that singing is an effective approach in teaching daily rote prayers. The stages in the process of getting used to singing are 1) the teacher introduces the prayer song that will be taught, 2) the child imitates it piece by piece or in faithful verse according to the tune. , 3) the teacher adds verses and starts combining them with other verses and the children imitate, 4) the teacher sings the whole song together with the children.
