Abstract

According to Article 14 of the Law on Dependency Rights, dependency right enforcement can be executed through a parate of execution or a fiat execution by State courts. However, legal certainty is not absolute; if a debtor fails to repay the debt, the creditor's liability is settled by selling the secured object through a public auction. This study investigates the legal consequences of the auction process, particularly the transfer of auctioned property rights to the winner. Using empirical juris and analytical descriptive research, primary and secondary data were gathered through library research and qualitatively analyzed. Auction winners may request the local state court to vacate the object if possession is unattainable under the law. An auction letter, as an authentic act, protects auction winners against normative enforcement of dependency rights. Nonetheless, the law lacks explicit protection for third parties and auction winners regarding possession, resulting in legal uncertainty.

Abstract

Extreme poverty remains a persistent issue in Indonesia, particularly in Central Buton Regency, despite numerous government initiatives. Efforts to alleviate poverty have yet to yield substantial results, with significant disparities between rural and urban areas. This study aims to assess the impact of community empowerment programs on reducing extreme poverty in Central Buton Regency, Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving individuals living in extreme poverty and government officials managing poverty alleviation programs. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis, with findings validated through data source triangulation. The results indicate that community empowerment programs play a crucial role in reducing extreme poverty, though there are discrepancies between expected and actual outcomes. Further research is needed to explore the long-term impact of these programs on poverty reduction in the region.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this research is the suboptimal use of digital media for marketing educational services at Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Yogyakarta, resulting in a less than significant increase in new student admissions. This study aims to explore the influence of digital marketing and service innovation on the acceptance of new students at MBS Yogyakarta, with ICT literacy as a mediating variable. Despite advancements in technology and the availability of various digital media for marketing, MBS Yogyakarta primarily relies on traditional methods such as brochures and word-of-mouth for new student admissions, leading to stagnation in growth. The study seeks to answer how digital marketing affects the acceptance of new students, its impact on ICT literacy, how service innovation influences acceptance, and its impact on ICT literacy. Using an ex-post-facto qualitative approach, the research involved 81 individuals, including school leaders, foundation administrators, teachers, and new student acceptance committee members, employing a saturated sampling technique. Data was collected via questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive analysis and the Structural Equation Model (PLS). The findings reveal that digital marketing significantly impacts the acceptance of new students and ICT literacy and that service innovation similarly positively affects both. Furthermore, ICT literacy mediates the effectiveness of digital marketing and service innovation in increasing new student admissions. The study concludes that digital marketing and service innovation are crucial for increasing new student admissions, with ICT literacy serving as a key mediating factor, suggesting that improving ICT literacy can further enhance the effectiveness of these strategies.

Abstract

Teacher motivation is a critical factor influencing educational quality and student outcomes. Previous research highlights that motivation can be significantly enhanced by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. This study focuses on the external aspects of motivation as proposed by Herzberg's theory, aiming to identify the most influential factors in boosting teacher motivation. The researchers selected a survey design for its efficacy in gathering data from a representative sample. A total of 335 private school teachers in South Kalimantan Province were surveyed, following the sample size determination method of Krejcie and Morgan to ensure precise representation. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software version 25. The study revealed that Company Policies had the highest mean score among various extrinsic motivation factors. This indicates that clear, fair, and supportive company policies are private school teachers' most significant external motivators. The findings are crucial for education stakeholders, as understanding the key elements influencing teacher motivation can help design better strategies to enhance teaching quality and motivation. This study is significant because it is able to identify and emphasize company policy as the primary external motivator. This provides valuable insights for policymakers and educational leaders in formulating effective strategies to boost teacher motivation and performance.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the influence of egg shape on the gender and abnormalities of hatched kampung chicks, conducted over one month in Wailela Hamlet, Ambon City. Using an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design, the study observed 120 kampung chicken eggs less than five days old. Data were collected by directly observing hatched eggs and chicks using hatching machines and digital scales. The eggs were cleaned, identified, and numbered before placement in a fumigated hatching machine. Ventilation and screening maintained temperature and humidity stability. The chi-square test (X2) analyzed the effect of egg shape on gender and abnormalities. The study's significance lies in its potential to improve breeding practices by understanding the impact of egg shape on hatching outcomes. However, the results indicated that egg shape did not significantly affect the gender or abnormalities of the hatched chicks. Consequently, egg shape cannot be used as a reliable criterion for selecting eggs to determine the gender or abnormalities of kampung chicks. This insight highlights the need for genetic or molecular techniques for gender determination and suggests further research with larger samples to explore other influencing factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the construction of serial verbs in Sundanese using the X-bar theory. Data sourced from written Sundanese as the main data and spoken data as supporting data. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method using the X-Bar theory introduced by Noam Chomsky. The results of the analysis show that the Sundanese serial verb construction (BS) has three constructions namely coordinate KVS, incoative KVS, and configurational KVS. Based on the structure of its construction, Sundanese as a language that is typologically classified as an SVO language. The construction of serial verbs in the BS has typological characteristics of a verb-framed language. In terms of syntactic structure, Sundanese serial verbs can have the X-KOMP or X-ADJ structure. These findings contribute to our understanding of serial verb constructions in Sundanese by delineating specific syntactic patterns and typological characteristics unique to the language. The implications of these findings extend to broader language studies, offering insights into the syntactic behaviors of SVO languages and providing practical applications for language preservation and educational frameworks.
