Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Viddeo Transaksi Jual Beli Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Negosiasi Oleh Siswa-siswi Kelas X SMA Kristen Hosana Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2022/2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian two grup pretest dan posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X dengan jumlah 40 orang dan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X-IIS sebanyak 20 siswa dan X-MIA sebanyak 20 siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas menggunakan uji F, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Setelah dilakukan penelitian pada kelas kontrol pretes dan posttest, diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest yaitu 57,6 dengan simpangan baku 8,35 dan nilai rata-rata pada posttest yaitu 59 dengan simpangan baku 9,16. Sedangkan penelitian kelas eksperimen pretes dan posttest, diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest yaitu 59.4 dengan simpangan baku 9,10 dan nilai rata-rata pada posttest yaitu 80,2 dengan simpangan baku 8,15. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dilakukan uji “t” pada taraf signifikan ⍺ =0,05, diperoleh thitung > ttabel (8 > 2,086), dengan demikian bahawa H0 ditolak, dan Ha diterima. Hasil uji prasyarat data pretest dan posttest menyatakan sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Penggunaan Media Viddeo Transaksi Jual Beli Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Negosiasi Oleh Siswa-siswi Kelas X SMA Kristen Hosana Medan Tatun Pembelajaran 2022/2023.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the reading comprehension difficulties faced by eleventh-grade students and how to solve the students' reading comprehension difficulties. This research uses mixed methods with an explanatory sequential design to collect data, both quantitative and qualitative. They are reading tests to collect quantitative data and interviews to collect qualitative data. Twenty students from SMKN 1 Lolomatua participated in obtaining quantitative and qualitative data. The research results showed that 76,25% of students experienced difficulty in making conclusions. Second, 44.3 % of students had difficulty determining the main idea. Third, 68,3 % of students have difficulty interpreting vocabulary. Fourth, 45 % of students found it difficult to identify references. Fifth, 52 % of students had difficulty detailing information. Then, four are the strategies to solve students' difficulties in reading comprehension. They are students who have to read a lot of English books, master the vocabulary, and find synonyms and antonym words. For pronunciation, students can use smartphone applications.

Abstract

In writing skills, learners would be able to put their feelings, ideas, arguments, willingness, and their minds into words, sentences, and even stories. The aims of this study are to identify the students’ grammatical, and mechanical errors, and dominant errors and to figure out the factors that caused the grammatical and mechanical errors made by first-grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Amandraya in writing recount text. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive text. The subject of research is first grade accounting of SMK Negeri 1 Amandraya and object was grammatical and mechanical errors. The samples in this study was be first-class accounting 24 students who are learning English subject at SMK Negeri 1 Amandraya. The result of this research based on grammatical errors was 141 errors, based on the mechanical error were 9 errors, the dominant error in writing recount text were misinformation 48%. Some factors that lead to the error because of limited of vocabulary, lack interest of learning English subject, and not mastering tenses, using of punctuation.

Abstract

Speaking is one way that people can communicate with each other. Speaking is the medium of transaction between speaker and listener. The objectives of this research are 1) to find out the implementation of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) integrated with the Tiktok Application, and 2) to know the students’ responses toward the implementation of HOTS with the integration of the Tiktok Application. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted by integrating High Order Thinking Skills with Tiktok Application to the eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Alasa. The sample of this research is the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Alasa in the Academic Year 2023/2024. The result of the test showed that the students’ mean score on speaking skills in, the pre-test was 61.7, in the second cycle the mean score was 70.4, in the last cycle the mean score was 82.6. It showed that there is a significant mean improvement among cycles. The result of this research also shows that the students’ responses after being taught by using High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and TikTok applications are positive. It is suggested that teachers use the TikTok Application as an alternative to teaching speaking skills to the students in Senior High School to improve students’ speaking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of to find out the teachers’ perception of the Merdeka Curriculum, the teachers’ readiness for the Merdeka Curriculum, and the implementation of the perception & readiness of teachers about the Merdeka Curriculum of SMP Negeri 3 Binjai. The research methodology in this study is qualitative. The technique to determine the sample is purposive sampling with the total of respondents that allowed this research being ten teachers. The result of this study showed teachers at SMP 3 Binjai have a positive perception and negative perception. Positive perception of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum which is free to teach, students are free to express and develop according to their interests and talents and form students' character for the better. In contrast, a negative perception of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum is due to the implementation of an independent curriculum that prioritizes student character and ignores students' knowledge abilities. Even though students' knowledge skills are needed to continue to a higher level. In addition, the allocation of learning time is too short, and the learning time for the Pancasila profile and the P5 project is too long, resulting in lagging teaching materials, and learning resources such as cell phones that not all students can afford economically, some teachers are technologically challenged, the three teachers who feel comfortable with the old standards and have no experience in independent learning. Overall, teachers and schools are ready to implement the Merdeka curriculum.
