Mathematical problem solving skill is one of the goals of mathematics learning that must be achieved by students through the process of learning mathematics. But in fact learning activities in schools are not optimal in facilitating students to improve mathematical problem solving skills. One effort to overcome this problem is to apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The purpose of this study is to describe whether the mathematical problem solving skills of students who learn by using the PBL model are better than students who learn with direct learning model. This type of research is quasi-experimental with the Randomized Control Group Only Design research design. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the mathematical problem solving skills of students who learn to use the PBL model are better than students who learn with direct learning model in class XI SMAN 7 Padang. Based on the results of daily mathematic test of class IX SMPN 1 2x11 Kayutanam, it was found that the student’s mathematical problem solving abilities were not optimal. It has to be surmounted to achieve the objectives of learning mathematics. One of other solution that appropiate this problem is to use the creative problem solving learning model. The purpose of the study was to describe wheter the student’s problem solving ability class IX SMPN 1 2x11 Kayutanam who use creative problem solving learning model is better than those using the direct learning model. Based on the results of the final test mathematical problem solving ability, it was founded that an average value of the final test of the experimental class is better than the final tea value of the control class. It can be concluded that the mathematical problem solving ability of students who learn using the creative problem solving learning model is better than students who use the direct learning model.Keywords--Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, Direct Learning Model, Creative Problem Solving Learning Model.

Mathematical communication skills are one of the goal of mathematics learning that must be achieved by students. But in the reality at SMAN 2 Padang this ability is still not optimal and do not facilitated yet for improving those skill well. One effort to overcome these problems is to apply the Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring (REACT) strategies. This type of research is quasi-experimental and descriptive research design with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The authentication of the research hypotheses using t-test.Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the mathematical communication skills of students who learn using the REACT strategies is better than the mathematical communication skills of students who learn by direct learning in class XII IPS SMAN 2 Padang. Problem solving ability is one of the goals of mathematical learning that must be owned by student. But learning activities is not optimal in facilitating student to improve problem solving ability, so result of test show that student problem solving ability of SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung is still low. One of effort to overcome this problem is to apply Learning Cycle 5E model. The purpose of the research is to describe whether problem solving ability of student who learn by using Learning Cycle 5E is more better than student who learn by using conventional learning in class IX SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung. This type of research is quasy experiment with static group design. The population is all of student in class IX SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung. The sample taking by random sampling, class IX 1 as an experiment class and IX 2 as an control class. The Instrument is used by test of problem solving ability. Based on the result of data analysis, it is got P-value = 0,01 where P-value is less than . It was concluded that problem solving ability of student who learn by using Learning Cycle 5E model is more better than student who learn by using conventional learning in class IX SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung. One of the basic abilities of mathematics is concept understanding. In the process of learning mathematic at all levels of education requires understanding concepts to solve problems and develop other mathematical abilities. Based on the test results, understanding of the mathematical concept of students at SMP Negeri 2 Kota Solok is still low. One way to improve it is to use a Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model. The purpose of this study is to compare the understanding of mathematical concept of students who learn to use the TAI model with those who learn to use conventional learning model and describe the development of students understanding of mathematical concept while using the TAI model. This type of research is quasi-experimental and descriptive research with Static Group Design research design. Based on the results obtained from the data analysis, it can be concluded that the understanding of mathematical concept of students who learn using the TAI model is better than students who learn with conventional learning models class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kota Solok and the development of mathematical understanding of students learning with the TAI model also increases . bThe application ofnthe cooperative learning model Think Talk Write can improve student learning outcomes, especially students' mathematical communication skills. This research was conducted with the aim of 1) knowing and describing mathematicalvcommunicationyskills ofpstudentsuwhonlearn with the cooperativeelearningmmodel TTW typerbetter than mathematicalycommunicationtskillsrof studentswwhoqlearn with direct learningxmodels, 2) knowing and describing how mathematical communication skills of students during applying the TTW type of cooperative learning model. The method used is a quasi-experimental and descriptive method with the Static Group Design. This study uses two classes for sample classes which before determining the sample class, first conduct a normality test, and the homogeneity test for variance can then be determined in terms of the population average similarity. Mathematics communication plays very importance role in the mathematics learning which must be belonged and developed by the students. However, based on the result of observation in the class VIII at SMPN 1 IV Koto could be seen that mathematics communications ability still low. One of the solution is to apply the quantum teaching model. The purpose of this research is to describe is mathematic communication ability which used quantum teaching model is better than mathematics communication ability of students which learned with direct learning model and described the development of students’ mathematics communication ability which learned with quantum teaching model of learning in the class VIII at SMPN 1 IV Koto in the academic year 2019/2020. Understanding the concept of mathematics is one important thing that must be possessed learners. Based on the observations that have been done, it appears that the understanding of mathematical concepts of learne sclass VIII SMPN 1 Padang Panjang still low. One effort that can be done is to apply the Think Pair Share Learning Model. This research type is combination of quasi experiment and descriptive. The purpose of this research is to describe whether understanding mathematical concepts of learners who learn by Think Pair Share learning is better than learners who learn by direct learning. Mathematical communication skills is one of the learning objectives that are expected to be achieved optimally by students. However in reality the mathematical communication skills of studentis still not optimal. This is foundeed in class VIII of SMPN 2Pariaman. One of the factor is learning that has not been fully able to facilitate student in developing mathematical communication properly. One effort that can be done is by applying the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study is to describe whether the mathematical communication skills of studentwho learn by using the TSTS model is more better than student who learn by conventional learning and describe the development of mathematical communication skills of student during the application of the TSTS model. The type of research is quasy experiment and descriptive, with a Randomized Control-Group Only Design. This shows that the mathematical communication skills of student who learn by applying the TSTS learning model is more better than the mathematical communication skills of studentwho learn by applying the conventional learning.
