Understanding of mathematical concepts is one of the purpose in mathematics learning. Understanding of mathematical concepts is the foundation for students to understand mathematics. But infact, Understanding of mathematical concepts of students at second grade SMPN 13 Padang waslow. It is caused by learning model that used has not facilitated students to develop their Understanding of mathematical concepts.One effort to overcome this problem is by using manipulatives to teach Pythagorean theorem.This manipulative helps students to Understanding of abstract mathematical concepts. The type of research is a pra-experimental design with One Group Pre test-Post test Design. The research hypothesis is carried out by using the paired sample t-test. These results indicate that the ability of students’ understanding mathematical concepts in learning that using manipulatives is better than the ability of students’ understanding mathematical concepts in learning that apply direct learning. The ability of understanding mathematical concepts is one of the basic capabilities that should be owned by every learner in the learning of mathematics. There is the fact that the understanding of the concept of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Pariaman is still low. It is because the learning process is centered on teachers. To overcome this, teachers need to apply the learning model that facilitates students in understanding a concept being taught with their own knowledge. Learning Model that can be used is Cooperative Learning type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). This research type is research of quasi-experimental design with Static Group Design. Based on the analysis of data using t-test obtained P-value=0,015 < α=0.05, so it can be concluded that the ability of understanding the concept of students who studied using Cooperative learning model Learning type TSTS better than the students who learn using conventional learning. Understanding the concept is a basic ability that must be possesed by every student. In fact, in reality understanding mathematic concept of students in grade VIII at SMPN 10 Padang still low. Based on observation learning is still centered on the teacher, the teacher actively provides information to students, while students are still passive in learning. One of the efforts made to improve students understanding of concept is to apply the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. The purpose of this study is to describe whether understanding mathematic concepts of students who learn by CTL approach is better than who learn by conventional learning. The type of the research was a quasi-experimental design with Static Group Design. Based on the result of the data analysis, it was concluded that understanding mathematic concepts of students who learn using the CTL approach is better than students who learn by conventional learning. Understanding of mathematical concepts is one of the objectives learning needs to be achieved. But in fact the understanding of the mathematical concept of learners class IX SMP Negeri 22 Padang is still not optimal. To overcome this problems, it was needed a method or approach that make students be able to construct their own concepts. One model that can be used was the guided discovery learning model. This study aimed to see the effect of using guided discovery learning models on the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 22 Padang. And to describe the attitudes and skills of students in class IX SMP Negeri 22 Padang using the Guided Discovery Learning model. The types of research used are pseudo experiments (Quasy experiment) with the research design of The Non-equivalentwPosttest-Only Control Group Design, with a population of class IX and samples of two classes of IX. 1 and IX. 4 SMP Negeri 22 Padang. The experimental class was given learning by using the guided discovery learning model that has special syntax, namely motivation and problem statements, data collection, data processing, verification and closure. The control o class used a direct learning. The instrument used was a learning achievement test that contained criteria for concepts understanding and judged on the concept of scoring. The statistical test used is test-t. The of data processing showed the price of count > t table, this means that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It can be concluded that learning with discovery learning models affects they understanding of mathematical concepts at SMP N 22 Padang.As well as the progression of the students ' attitudes and skills assessments using guided discovery learning are on good criteria at each meeting. Understanding mathematical concepts is one of the goals of mathematics learning that student must have. However, the facts on the ground show that the understanding of the mathematical concepts of grade VIII students of SMPN 23 Padang is still low. Efforts are made to improve students’ understanding of concepts bt applying the cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in mathematics learning. The purpose oh this is to describe the understanding oh mathematical concepts of students who learn using STAD type cooperative learning models better than students who learn to use conventional learning models in class VIII SMPN 23 Padang. This type of research is quasy experiment with a static group design. Based on the results of data analysis, it is found that understanding mathematical concepts of students who learn using the STAD type cooperative learning model is better than students who learn with conventional learning. So it can be concluded that the cooperative type STAD model has an influence on the understanding of mathematical concepts of students. Based on observations in class VIII SMPN 3 Pariaman, it was found that students’ mathematical reasoning abilities were still low. One of the reasons is the learning applied is not optimal training and improving mathematical reasoning skill well. Efforts that can be used are implementing DL models. The purpose of this study is to determine and discribe whether the ability of mathematical reasoning learning with the application of DL models is better thanthe ability to solve mathematical reasoning by applying the conventional learning. This type of research is quasy experimental research design with Randomized Control Group Only Desain. The study population was students of class VIII SMPN 3 Pariaman with a sample of class VIII 6 and VIII 7. The instrument used was a test of mathematical reasoning abilities in the form of essay questions. The results showed the ability to solve mathematical reasoning with the application of DL models is better thanthe ability to solve mathematical reasoning with the application of direct conventional learning.Keywords — Discovery Learning (DL), reasoning skill, Mathematics

The aim of deveopment of blog based learning resources on mathematics learning in eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Padang is to facilitate students learning mathematics materials by using their smartphones. They can access blog based learning resources wherever and whenever they want. Deveopment of blog based learning resources on mathematics learning in eleventh grade of SMAN 2 Padang applies ASSURE model. The procedures of ASSURE model[5]. By following its procedures, the result shows blog based learning resources get valid and practical. Therefore, blog based learning resources on mathematics learning in eleventh grade can be applied in eleventh grade of senior high schools as mathematics learning resources. One of the expected of mathematics learning in senior high schools is that students able to understanding mathematical concepts. But according to the result of the tests, the understanding of mathematical concepts of student in class X IPA of SMAN 7 Padang is still can be improve. This is happen because learning model used in schools have not facilitated students to improve their own capability to understanding of mathematical concept. One effort that can be offer to these problems is to apply cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization. The type of this research is quasy-experiment, research design with The Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Based on results of test and quizzed, it was concluded that understanding the mathematical concepts of students learning after applying cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization is better than understanding mathematical concepts of students learning by direct learning in class X IPA SMAN 7 Padang. Then, the development of students understanding mathematical concept during appling cooperative learning model type Team Assisted Individualization has increased. Understanding mathematical concepts is a basic ability should be achieve by students, In fact understanding mathematical concepts in grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Kamang Magek still relatively low and students do not play an active role in learning. The solution to this problems applied cooperative learning model Think Pair Square (TPSq) type. The purpose of this research to describe the difference understanding mathematical concepts of students in class VIII of SMPN 2 Kamang Magek who learn with cooperative learning model TPSq type and those who learn using conventional learning. This research are both descriptive research and quasi-experiment research with static group design. Based on data analysis, P-value = 0.039 obtained that is rejected, meaning that the understanding mathematical concepts students who learn with cooperative learning model TPSq type is better than those who learn with conventional learning. Mathematical reasoning skills are one of the goal in mathematics learning that must be achieved by students. But in reality at SMP Negeri 2 Payakumbuh this ability is still not optimal and don’t facilitated yet for improving those skill well. One effort to overcome these problems is to apply the Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring(REACT) model. The aims of this research is to describe the differences in the ability of student's mathematical reasoning using REACT model with the ability of student's mathematical reasoning using conventional learning model. The types of research is quasi-experimental with Randomized Control-Group Only Design. The authentication of the research hypotheses using t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the mathematical reasoning skills of students who learn using the REACT model is better than the mathematical reasoning skills of students who learn by conventional learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Payakumbuh.
