Abstract

This research is aimed to know whether Role Play Technique is effective in improving student’s speaking skill at 9th grade students of SMP Islam Ruhama Cireundeu. This research is based on the last observation result that the students were still difficult to speak. This research is categorized as Experimental Study. It is carried out to solve students’ problem in speaking. The findings of the research stated that students’ comprehension (66) is the lowest score and students’ grammar (66.5) is the highest score in post test score of experiment class while students’comprehension (72.5) is the lowest score and students’ vocabulary (74) is the highest score in post test of experiment class. The subject of this research is the students of class IX.1 and IX.2 of SMP Islam Ruhama Cireundeu. In collecting the data, this research uses observation and test. Based on the result and the discussion of this research, it can be said that the using of role play in teaching speaking is successful since the crieteria of success were achieved. The criteria of success is there is a significant improvement from pretest result to posttest. The result shows that the pretest average score in experiment class is 66.2 becomes 73.1 in post test while in control class, the significant improvement is only 1.2 (pre test 65.9 and post test 67.1). Based on the result that is mentioned before, the writer suggests that the English teacher should implement a role play in order to improve students’ speaking skill.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan sumber untuk menggali ilmu pengetahuan agar bisa menuju masa depan yang gemilang, terampil melaksanakan suatu keahlian untuk bekal hidup yang cerah, untuk menjadi terampil perlu dikembangkan dalam menggali ilmu pengetahuan dan mengikuti hal-hal yang positif dalam perubahan di era globalisasi. Pada pelaksanaan penelitian ini penulis membagi 3 fase penelitian, yaitu masa pra siklus, siklus 1 dengan 2 pertemuan dan dilanjutkan dengan siklus 2 dengan 2 pertemuan yang mana dapat dilaksanakan penelitian tersebuat dengan bantuan kawan sejawat sebagai pemberi motivasi dan masukan pengetahuan secara positif hingga selesai penulisan makalah dengan baik dan tuntas. Data-data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi pengolahan melalui metode STAD, observasi aktivitas siswa dan angket guru motivasi siswa, dan tes formatif. Instrument penilaian data yang digunakan adalah silabus, RPP, dan tes formatif. Setiap tahapan-tahapan dalam siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ada pembahasan yang telah dilakukan,maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran “STAD” dapat meningkatkan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa X JB 1 SMK Negeri 3 Pangkalpinang Provinsi Kaepulauan Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pendekatan sugesti-imajinasi meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks deskriptif siswa. Penelitian pra-eksperimental kuantitatif ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023 di SMAN 1 Patokbeusi, Subang, Jawa Barat. Ada satu kelas siswa kelas 10 yang berjumlah 36 orang, yang dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian ini. Dalam pengumpulan data, instrumen yang digunakan adalah pre-test dan post-test menulis teks deskriptif. Hasil siswa dalam dua tes ini dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan uji-t regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa prestasi post-test siswa lebih tinggi dibandingkan pre-testnya, dimana pada pre-test diperoleh rata-rata 64,63 dan pada post-test diperoleh rata-rata 70,83. Hasil tersebut diperkuat dengan temuan uji regresi t dimana thitung sebesar 2,271 > ttabel sebesar 2,034 yang menjelaskan bahwa terdapat pengaruh variabel X (pendekatan sugesti-imajinasi) terhadap variabel Y (penulisan teks deskriptif siswa). pencapaian). Dari temuan ini, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan sugesti-imajinasi meningkatkan keterampilan menulis deskriptif siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know, find, and also learn the morpheme and bound morpheme of a song lyric Believer by Imagine Dragons. The research uses a qualitative method counting the bound morphemes using numerical data and table as the result of the research. Using other research such as William Shakespeare poetries to compare the research gap between the song lyric Believer by Imagine Dragon bound morpheme and the bound morpheme in the William Shakespeare poetries research. We found the exact percentages of each research. Imagine Dragon uses lots of bound morpheme in their lyrics while William Shakespeare poetries uses lots of free Morpheme in his works. This journal article related to linguistics of english mainly about morphologies and bound morphemes as an object purpose of the research. Suffix and Prefix are also a part of this research because of bound morphemes that cannot stand alone.
