Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using comics as a learning medium in mathematics. This research method is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. This method includes identifying, reviewing, evaluating and interpreting all available research in the form of journals, articles and others. Based on the results of the study, it was found that comics were an interesting, simple, and easy-to-understand learning medium for students so as to facilitate the teaching and learning process and increase learning motivation and improve student learning outcomes.Keywords:comik: Learning media: Mathematics

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze students' mistakes in working on questions on integer material. This type of descriptive research, as well as data analysis techniques in this study include checking test results, analyzing student answers, and at each stage or step of solving the problem to get an error score (if there is an error). There are five steps of analysis work, namely: collecting research samples; fault identification; error explanation; classifying errors, and evaluating errors. The research instrument was in the form of a written test in the form of a field consisting of 10 questions. Each number was given a score of 1. This research was conducted by giving a test in the form of 10 questions on integer arithmetic operations to class VII students of junior high school. The test results were analyzed to see the types of mistakes made by students. Furthermore, several students were selected who had errors in working on the questions. There were several mistakes made by the subject in solving math problems. The error was made by the subject with different indicators.Keywords: Mathematics; number; error analysis;

Abstract

Abstrak:This study aims to find out how the students' difficulties in solving mathematical problems with the Circle material. There are several steps in solving math problems. According to Polya in Nur (2018) there are four steps in solving mathematical problems, namely (1) understanding the problem (understanding the problem); (2) plan problem solving (devising a plan); (3) planning problem solving (carrying out the plan); (4) Re-examine the solutions obtained (looking back). This research method is qualitative by using a qualitative descriptive approach. The population of this study was the eighth grade student of Al-Falah Pacul Bojonegoro with a total of 16 students. Collecting data using the method of observation, test questions, interviews and documentation. The technique of taking the subject in this study was purposive sampling, namely there were 12 subjects. The results of this study indicate that there are 4 students who meet the polya step and 11 students who do not meet the polya step in class VIII students of SMP Al-Falah Pacul Bojonegoro.Keywords: Difficulty Analysis, Problem Solving.

Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to produce an instrument for measuring mathematical literacy by looking at the procedures and analyzing the quality of the instrument developed. This type of research is research and development which consists of 4 stages, namely: (1) preliminary stage, (2) self-evaluation stage, (3) prototyping stage and (4) field test stage. In this validation, the measurement instrument is declared valid with a validity coefficient of 0.68 which is in the range of 0.4 < V 0.8. The results of the empirical validation test meet the valid criteria for all items. The results of the reliability test by students obtained a total score of 0.80. This value indicates that the reliability of the measurement instrument in the very high category means that it is reliable. The results of the test of the level of difficulty by students obtained an average score of 0.52. This value indicates that the level of difficulty of the measurement instrument is in the medium category. The results of the test of discriminating power by students obtained a final score of 0.32. This value indicates that the level of discriminating power of the measurement instrument is in the good category. The results of the practicality level trial by students obtained a score of 81.15%. This value indicates that the level of practicality of the measurement instrument is in the positive category. The results of the effectiveness test obtained a percentage of 66.67% with a good category.Keywords:Measurement Instrument; Mathematic Literacy; Contextual Approach

Abstract

This study aims (1) to create and develop teaching materials with an open ended approach in mathematics at MA Al-Khoiriyah Balan which can be used to build student learning independence. (2) to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed teaching materials. This research includes research development (Research and Development). The model used in this research and development is the ADDIE development model. The research was conducted at MA Al-Khoiriyah Balen majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences involving 21 students aiming to find out the effectiveness of functional teaching materials, as well as 2 lecturers and 1 teacher as expert validators to determine the feasibility of teaching materials so that they can be used in learning. The results of the development of functional teaching materials are as follows: the results of the validation of media experts obtained an overall average of 75.4% in the "valid" category and the results of the validation of material experts consisted of two assessment aspects, namely the content aspect which received an overall average of 79 % and linguistic aspects that get an overall average of 77% in the "valid" category. The results of the study show that functional teaching materials with the ONDE (Open Ended) approach are feasible to use and effective in building student learning independence in MA Al-Khoiriyah Balen students Keywords: teaching materials; open ended approach; student learning independence; function material

Abstract

The research was carried out by researchers with the aim of analyzing the mathematical understanding of the students of SMPN 3 Bojonegoro on the probability material based on the APOS theory. This research method is qualitative by using a qualitative descriptive approach with the researcher acting as the key instrument or main instrument. Based on the results of the analysis of mathematical understanding of students at SMPN 3 Bojonegoro based on APOS Theory. In the framework of the action stage, the subject has a tendency to explain and present the given opportunities. Subjects in the process stage framework have a tendency to explain, present and classify questions about probability events. Subjects in the process stage framework are subjects who have a tendency to explain, present, classify and apply concepts and procedures. In the framework of the last stage, namely the framework of the schema stage, the subject has a tendency to explain, present, classify, apply and develop the concepts that have been studied. Keywords: Understanding Analysi; Mathematical Understanding; APOS Theory; Opportunity Material.
